I recently refreshed Firefox. Despite the message appearing that passwords and bookmarks would be saved, they have disappeared. Any help please ?

Can't backup bookmarks. The bookmarked sign on bookmarked pages dissapears few moments after every launch. Sync is stuck on syncing. Can't add new bookmarks.

Changes to bookmarks and adding new ones won't work either. Have tried a new profile, deleting xulstore.json and places.sqlite and have also tried safe-mode and all of them together. The sync is still in a loop. I have about 56000 bookmarks(I know that's a lot!) but it didn't use to take more than a few seconds. And not being able to see the last sync time by hovering really sucks as well btw.

My history is not showing, my auto entry is not showing, and my bookmarks are all not loading. I have tried importing and exporting as well. Export is blank(nothing is happening), When I try to import from the Auto-Backups (I did not make manual saves), it says Unable To Recover File.
I have looked in the browser for profiles, and it shows only the one currently in use, no old profiles show.
Any help would be appreciated!

This dirty trick required to move a single bookmark folder from one Firefox profile to another stopped working for me for some reason. I tried different firefox versions, including the one from portableapps.com, I tried starting the second instance with -no-remote switch. Nothing worked. When I tried drag&drop between the instances there was the blue feedback dash indicating the place where the folder was going to be dropped in the target Library window. But nothing happened. I tried holding Ctrl as well, also using Ctrl+C - Ctrl+V key combinations.
Is this a known issue? Has a recent version of Firefox removed this ability?

Foxfire auto updated the program and it lost all bookmarks and even login. The result is I cannot do anything with my computer that needs the internet. I have spent many hours trying the suggested fixes and I cannot get them back and I do not have my password so that I cannot change if for fear I will loose access to the bookmarks. There seems to be no accountability from Mozilla and no way to reach any one. Is anyone else having this problem.

I hate that I have to ask this.... I have been trying to import my username/passwords from Chrome to Firefox for weeks. I'm using the Firefox built in Import tool. It just simply doesn't work. A couple of weeks ago it did actually import 1 site/username/password. Then today I was able to get 1 more. Both of these were sites that I used Chrome to sign into recently, like it cached them or something and thus were able to be imported into Firefox. But all the others that are saved in Chrome will not come over. I just don't get it. There is really nothing to it, so I know I'm doing it right. Options>>Privacy & Security>>Saved Logins>>Import>>>Select Chrome as browser to import from>>(Deselect cookies, browsing history, bookmarks) Saved Passwords selected>>Next>>Finished. Nothing.
Maybe I should uninstall Firefox and reinstall it and see I can do it from a fresh install. I don't know. Very frustrating.

All im left with now is an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop and it contains data from the dev browser, where is the data from the non-dev browser ?

I have tried every solution on the Mozilla Help section - I cant do a Restore I have a very old version of backups - 2016
The online help system is going around and around in circles not giving any solutions. 4 hours of trying to sort this out is ridculous.
I really do not want to have to move to Chrome, I far prefer Mozilla, but I can not afford to loose more time sorting this problem out. If not resolved here, I will reluctantly have to restart all my bookmarks in Chrome.
I need all my bookmarks - some are work related.

I have been able to bookmark links on Chrome but when I try to do the sale for Foxfire, I get an error that these sites are not trustworthy and cannot be saved. How do I override this problem so I can save these bookmarks or do I need to go back to Chrome?

I've already tried the solutions listed here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved they didn't work. I also don't have sync enabled so that wasn't the culprit either. None of my plugins are bookmark related. I'm using the latest version of Firefox Quantum. This is really infuriating, if it keeps up I'm going to have to go back to Google Chrome.

I know there's a couple of 'lost bookmarks-toolbar' topics here but none have a working solution for me. I was browsing a site which had a bad habbit of opening new browserwindows. Alas, I closed my main Firefox window with lots of tabs open and forgot about one of the newly opened windows with none of my tabs. Closed that one, lost all tabs for that session.
Wasn't too worried but today I realize that my bookmarks toolbar is missing also. Guess something went wrong closing but can't figure out how to get it back. Tried various solutions presented here : safe mode, renaming places.sqlite, checking I actually got 'display bookmarks-toolbar' marked, etc... nothing worked so far.
If I start Firefox after a complete exit it actually show the bookmarks toolbar for just a second and then it's gone. If I check my Bookmarks and do a 'Show All' I can find all the bookmarks in there, even a seperate section for the Bookmarks Toolbar. If I check the latest backup of my Bookmarks it is a nearly empy file. Also had to turn Sync of 'cause I would get an empty Bookmarks Toolbar after a sync.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tnx!
