(I'm not very good at English, if you don't understand something of my problem description please tell me) I just decided to give another chance to Firefox and move from Google Chrome and this time I found that Nightly (version 18 for the time of this question / out of using Firefox, Firefox Beta and also Aurora), worked with a really good performance and support for complements and to be really fast on my daily stuff, my only problem is that once I tried watching videos on YouTube or doing any other kind of stuff that required Adobe Flash Player (version 11.4 at the time of this question) it just freezes, the browser gets really laggy and Nightly starts to eat about 70% or more of my CPU, throught it doesn't crashes and it's just painfully slow until I can close the page with some luck. Now, I wanna start by clarifying that this happens to me in all the browser iterations like Firefox (15), Firefox Beta (16) and Aurora (17), not just in Nightly (18). By the other side in Chrome (version 22 for the time of this question) this never happens to me, the videos are pretty fast and the performance is fine. Also this problems just appears to happen when I'm using it on the page. If I put a video on fullscreen it goes plain smooth (even better than with Chrome), but once I get off fullscreen the lagg starts again. I recently updated Flash to try to solve this and also reinstalled Flash, non of this worked out and I don't know that else could I do. Also wanted to add that I'm using Windows 8 (Release Preview) and my PC runs on x64, since Firefox runs on x86 maybe this could have something to do, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

I have an Add-on that just showed uninvited and it has no remove button. It is called FBPhotoZoom, but I am not sure if it is the actual add-on. When I searched this, there was a FB Photo Zoom, that I installed and uninstalled with no problems, but this one remained.

There is only an Enable/Disable button

None of the features of SiteAdvisor appear within my browser session (green ticks in web-searches, etc. I don't get the Site Advisor bar in my Firefox window, Works OK when I switch to Google Chrome.

Hello - In Firefox 6.0 I have installed the LiveHttpHeaders addon/extension. However, eventhough i can see that the extension is installed where I go to Addons, I cant see where to actually open LiveHttpHeaders - can someone please tell me where in Firefox 6.0 do I see this?

I cannot get rid of the Yahoo Toolbar in Firefox 12. It does not show up under extensions or add-ons.

I have eliminated all Yahoo programs (Toolbar, IM, and some updating program) in the control panel Add/Remove Programs.

I have restarted the Firefox in safe mode. There are still no Yahoo Add-ons or Extensions that show up.

I then went Help | Troubleshooting Information | Show Folder

I clicked on Show Folder.

There's a folder called "Yahoo! Inc". When I open Yahoo Inc., there's another folder called ytoolbar. I have deleted Yahoo! Inc both when Firefox was open and when it was closed. As soon as I restart Firefox, the Yahoo Inc. folder is recreated.

I am unable to remove the Yahoo Inc. folder permanently.

This is one invasive program.

How do I get rid of it?

I am running Firefox 7.1 on Mac OS 10.7.1

After an update my old firebug stopped working. I downloaded the new alpha version 1.9.0a3 and it appears to be enabled, but the icon that is supposed to appear to launch it is not there. F12 - suggested for prior version does not work either.

Installed Firefox 13 yesterday. Now flash doesn't work. Have done all the supposed fixes to no avail. Have uninstalled and reinstalled flash. I'm at my wits end with this issue. I'm a web designer who uses flash in a number of my sites. VERY IRRITATING when my sites don't display properly. Anyone have a solution other than the pat Mozilla "fixes"?

Smart Suggestor keeps popping up and I want to uninstall but cannot find it. It is not in my add-ons, extensions, programs, folders...no where! There is no buttons to click on my right hand tool bar etc. I am running foxfire 13.0.1, windows 7. It is very annoying, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Something labelled "npFFApi 1.0.0.1" has made a place for itself in Firefox v6.0 on the Add-ons>Plugins page. There is a USELESS link to (it says) "More" that opens a More page but gives nothing more: no info, no name of source or provider, no CLUE to what it does. The More page is probably a Mozilla product, but it fails to contribute the least little thing about this plugin, and that is disappointing. WHAT is it, why do I need it? Maybe it is spyware? Please advise.

While doing a routine plugin check for latest versions here, I got the message that a newer version of the Microsoft Silverlight plugin was available from Microsoft. When I tried to download the installation executable from Microsoft, the download managed to lock up Firefox each time I attempted it (about 5 times or so) -- in the process, the file I was automatically given to download was identified as a 64 bit executable, despite the fact that Firefox 8.0.1 is a 32-bit application (I do have the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Professional). At this point, I don't know which version of the newer plugin I need, nor how to get it. Help!

Over the last week or so, whenever a video box appears on a site, Adobe Flash Player has a Settings popup appear. Why is this suddenly happening? It was never a problem before.

I don't want information stored anywhere, so I click "Deny," but the message keeps popping up.

I upgraded to Flash Player 11 but it hasn't made a difference.

I went to the Website Storage Settings panel and chose "None" and "Never Ask Again" but it makes no difference. The settings popup still appears, and when I return to the panel it has unchecked the "Never Ask Again" box.

This problem is driving me insane. I've searched the web but can find no answers. If there is a quick fix, I would be extremely grateful.

Firefox 3.6.9, don't recognice my java plugin. I did a symbolic link on my linux System as follows:

/usr/lib/firefox-3.6/plugins# ln -s /usr/java/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so

But applets don't work. My java version is 1.6.0. I search a lot but I don't find solutions. May you Help me please?

What can i do for my java plugin works on my firefox.

Ever since I installed Avg free 2012 I have been forced to put up with Avg isearch appearing on every single page which I did not have previously I absolutely hate when something is imposed on me and I think it it totally unfair that I dont have the final say on whether I want it or not. I would appreciate it very much if your team could provide a solution to this problem as I cannot find one myself. I have tried to remove this several ways none of which worked. I have disabled the addon, uninstalled Avg free 2012, went through the Avg settings and disabled linkscanner and all of its settings and I am still stuck with it. I would have asked Avg to help but you can only get help from avg if you have a paid version of Avg and besides Avg is probably benefiting in some way. I've updated and upgraded all Firefox components, pluggins and apps, yet NO videos from any source (amazon, youtube, etc) stream in the firefox browser.

they DO stream in Chrome and IE

I am running Firefox 15.0.1 on Windows 7 64-bit I have Java plugin version SE7 U7, which I reinstalled and confirmed is current. However, when the Java plugin (Java(TM) Platform SE 7 U7 10.7.2.11) is disabled, then I get message when checking my plugins, "For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please upgrade to the latest version". When I re-enable this plugin, the error message is not present. Thus it is misleading as the correct version is installed but disabled.
