Just wanted to say thank you for ruining my day, and my life all together with the new update (which installed itself without me asking) and now everything is gone and i have to memorize what tabs i was working with and open them one by one - moreover, I've disabled all the add-ons that block the ads so it's a very nice experience BESIDE firefox is still crashing. And on a side note, all my settings are gone and I'm trying to get it back to what it was before the update. Thank you.

Bookmark Manager in Firefox Nightly 107.0a1 (2022-10-02) (64-bit) can't be maximized in Windows 7. When the bookmark manager is opened and I attempt to maximize it, only the upper left corner of the page is displayed. This is the same portion that is displayed prior to attempting to maximize the window, but the rest of the maximized window is grayed-out.

Restarting in safe mode does not solve the issue. It used to work correctly until a few days ago. Currently, the only way to resolve this issue is to restore to the last save point in Windows 7. This seems to be a bug introduced with one of the latest patches.

The latest version of Firefox is giving me a nightmare. Previously, when I downloaded something, an alert would automatically pop-up asking me whether I want to save the file or just open it. For those files which I only want to open them once, I would click Open. Then, I would either save the file into another format or copy the content to somewhere else and be done with it. Those 'Opened' file were just temp files which would be deleted automatically after some time. But since the previous update of Firefox, the option to 'open downloaded files as temp files' seems to have been completely gone. I've already manually change the settings for all types of files back to 'Always ask' but the files I 'opened once' are no longer just temp files but permanently saved in the Downloads folder. I personally seldom save things in C drive. Today I occasionally opened the Downloads folder and was astonished to see that all the 'temp files' I opened last month are all saved in there. It's very annoying. Why should I even be wasting my time to clear these temp files manually? The only reason I've been using Firefox over Chrome for these many years is because Chrome always forces me to save all the downloaded files to my local drive and doesn't provide me the option to open them as temp files. If Firefox has become just like Chrome, forcing me to save all unwanted files to my local drive, what's the point for me to continue using Firefox?

I had to add Javascript because one of my accounts need Javascript to open. After installing Javascript and allowing for all to be 'true', I still get this message when I try to open a 'show blocked content' in my email.

"The address wasn’t understood

Firefox doesn’t know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (javascript) isn’t associated with any program or is not allowed in this context.

   You might need to install other software to open this address."

I never had any problem before installing Javascript. Thanks for any solutions.

For years I've set the background display color in about:config to a medium gray, #CCCCCC. Main purpose was to change the background color of the about:blank page, which is my home page and my new tab page.

Note I am not overriding colors; #CCCCCC only showed up as the bgcolor for about:blank. Occasionally websites which forgot to specify a background color would show up with a medium gray background, a minor inconvenience and a hint their coding was not so great.

Just realized my background color selection for about:blank isn't working anymore. The background color of the about:blank page is white. Not sure when it changed. I failed to notice when the medium gray disappeared because I have been reflexively pressing the dim screen button. I have vision issues and need to avoid a white screen.

There was a question in 2021 about the about:blank page bgcolor turning white which was archived but does not look resolved.

Does about:blank now specify a bgcolor, overriding my about:config setting? I still have browser.display.background_color set to #CCCCCC. Do I need to change another value for about:blank now? Thanks for your help.

Hello, we are having an issue with one webpage we visit very often not displaying correctly on our computer screen using Firefox as the browser. We have used this page for 5+ years on Firefox and in the last few days it went from displaying 3 Columns to 2 Columns on Firefox (very annoying). If we look at this same website page in Microsoft Edge it displays correctly. I have a problem accessing articles in the New York Times web page. I have a Basic subscription and I am signed in. When I try to read an article, the New York Times site thinks I do not have a subscription and that I have used up all my free articles. If I use the Chrome browser, it works fine, but I do not want to use Chrome. I use FireFox for all my browsing. I have deleted cache and cookies. Tried the "Private Windows" too. I have logged out and back in. I have rebooted the machine (an Alienware 17 R5) and closed and opened Firefox. The "agents" I chatted with say this is a browser problem as everything is working fine on their side and it works in Chrome. Can anyone help me out?

From time to time i need to log into my ISP's website portal, yet from today which is since the update yesterday) it will not allow me to it has my log in details saved correctly, but when i try to log in the sit it says they are incorrect, which they are not.

At first I thought the issue was with my ISP's website, so I was on the phone to them and together we tried crhome and edge and the log ins worked just fine, but not with the Firefox browser.

So sadly either something you changed in that update seems to be messing with the log in on this site and possibly others or possibly one of the add ons I use with it together with the browser is now causing an issue and is interferring I wouldn't have the first clue.
