Hello,

I process phishing URL's,

I have recently come across URL's that make use of a BLOB: syntax on the URL:

blob:https://bolig.botik.dk/16c8c011-0fa5-4ba0-a10f-ed7675055cc6

You can see an example of the Phishing URL in this PhishTank entry:

https://phishtank.com/phish_detail.php?phish_id=9118779

That URL then re-directs to the above "BLOB" URL.

My understanding is that it is "locally" generating the phishing website, similar to an old fashioned about: syntax, however it's not clear what the significance of bolig.botik.dk URL is - loading that URL without the BLOB: prefix causes an error

Can someone explain:

1) What is the BLOB: syntax, and 2) what would be reported to have the phishing URL removed in the above example?

Hi I'm wondering what people think about emails providing links for donations. If the email address is spoofed and the link is malicious were in trouble. So, assuming the email I received today was from Mozilla (and not a spoofed email address, shouldn't Mozilla ask us to visit it's webpage to make a donation rather than email us a link? Regards

I received an email from breach-alerts@mozilla.com informing me that Mozilla Monitor discovered a data breach that includes my personal information: Unfortunately, I don't know if this is a legitimate email from Mozilla. Can anyone confirm if it is or is not?

When I opened my computer this morning, it said Firefox crashed. Yesterday, I was scammed by a scammer claiming to be from Microsoft who had me do many things on my computer to remove a virus that wasn't there. Instead, I suspect he may have access to my information now. So this morning after it said that Firefox had crashed, I asked to open a new Firefox session and things seemed to be normal. Please double check to make sure there is nothing wrong with my Firefox account and let me know. Thank You!

This is after setting FF as default again (3rd time today). Got into this problem trying to report that FF behaves differently when using W11 HOME vs PRO. Don't know when this started. This system has been a "home" system from day 1. When I go check defaults with W11, (only O/S on this laptop) it shows that FF is the default browser for many things.

But if I do an update, or have to do a reboot, first time started, it wants to be made the default *again*.

NOTE: Mozilla sent the above email to me that this is FF on Windows 10. This is W11 HOME, not 10.

As title, MS defender keeps detecting trojans everytime firefox is launched and while I'm pretty sure it's probably just a false positive its just getting rather frustrating and now more so, worrying that it's constantly happening.

I have no interest in it and view it as a security risk and liability. I've been using Firefox for over a decade, every since I realized how horrible Google is. Why the heck would Mozilla do this?

An infected website warning by AVG comes up every time I open Mozilla. It doesn't occur with other browsers. How can I get rid of it. It seems like it's the same URL.

This appeared on my passwords setting page on FF

After a little googling I thought the page was probably safe but in fact it's ServerNotFound

What's going on? Has FF itself been hacked?
