This afternoon, I clicked on a link from an email and for the first time got a choose a profile pop-up. I do not want this; I have read info on Mozilla and elsewhere about its purpose but it doesn't say how to just stop the pop-up - there should be an option just stop the pop-up because I don;t want to have to choose amongst options. I have started copy-pasting the links in emails and going to Chrome and will seriously have to reconsider using Firefox of this continues. I don't want to have to type about:config or anything - this should have been an opt out or opt in thing and I want out. Thank you for your help.

I use Dashlane as an extension in android Firefox on my Acer Swift GO 16 laptop. I use my fingerprint to log into the laptop but in the security settings in the Firefox Dashlane extension I see the message: "Your browser does not support biometrics. To use this feature, install the Dashlane extension using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge." I prefer to use Firefox.

Why is the option to use Biometrics (fingerprint in this case) not available?

I'm trying to move search engine from yahoo search to Firefox search engine because I had the Firefox search engine on my old phone and I liked it because it worked better than yahoo.

I was on my laptop W 11. Shut down opened up again and all my old firefox data was all gone. no pw no bookmarks no history. Shut down restarted etc. Some strange new profile window opened up, which is awful, showed up how do I get back the old one? Thank you

I receive many unwanted/junk/spam emails a day (10 to 20) in my email inbox. How do I stop this influx of junk? right now I am blocking domains, is this the best I can do?

Why is every company from Microsoft, Google and Firefox so obsessed with changing how I have my devices set up? I do not want all the extra feed as I open the browser. Every time the browser is opened there is so many more added shortcuts to my main screen. That is super annoying when I already had in place the shortcuts I wanted. I have gone through multiple times to dismiss the ones Firefox had added to the shortcuts. But new ones just keep popping up in the shortcuts. I have also blocked all the advertisements such as sports, fit health, politics and many more that is offered that I do NOT want. It crowds up space and is VERY distracting to my homework assignments. I just started using this browser because my college recommended that I install it to my laptop because Microsoft does not support 100% of their programming requirements. I wish the settings to find this would be easier and more available to the average Joe who is not familiar when changing browser settings. Plus it switch my mouse buttons. When I have always used the Left click on the mouse to select the word that needed to be modified auto correct spelling... now it is set for the Right click of the mouse. Why does every company feel the need to completely modify other peoples stuff? Same thing with my TV connected to the WI-FI. Ads are always popping up, modifying TV preferences, moving apps around on the main screen. Every time I power up it has a new screen. Its honestly disgusting. The world around us is always changing... can our personal home lives be left alone with our preferred preferences? With out major companies thinking "Heeyyy we can make that better!" without asking from the consumer! It would be nice to have the option when powered on asking "We have a new product, would you like to try it?" allow us to select yes or no! Or just fix the old stuff that had glitches... but nah we going to keep pushing forward and annoy everyone to fill our pockets! I am NOT pleased with the product that has been recommended to me.

Ok, This is a bit of a question that seems to have many answers but none that have ever worked for me. I have in the past 12 months probably formatted my PC 4 times, and I have at least 12 profiles on Firefox nightly, not to mention the rest of the family. It's not really a problem to redo them every time, but it is just a painstaking simple process. If I could just backup the profile folder, copy it move it change it whatever, it would be nice and simple, even to transfer from one pc to another in the house, but every time I try, It fails. Copy the Userdata folder, copy the entire firefox folder, blah blah blah, never can I do it. I believe it has something to do with security that you can't just copy and the entire profile folder, but some way to backup the profiles exists surely? One that actually works. Cheers All!

Hello. I have a question about Firefox. I shut down my PC and turned it on two hours later, but Firefox is still displaying page layouts properly, images on pages aren't displaying, and the screen remains blank even when I load a page from a bookmark. How can I fix this? This is the first time I've seen this happen, whether I've restarted or shut down and restarted.

As of yesterday my Firefox browser no longer displays some screens within Amazon Prime correctly. It displays what should be images as text, which is difficult to read, unlike Microsoft Edge, which displays the Amazon webpage correctly. I am running Windows 10 with a support extension through October 2026, so could it be an update from Microsoft Windows or Mozilla Firefox that has caused the problem. Thanks for your help.

Windows 11 : Fix this ASAP I delete all tabs, close firefox, reopen and I get 5 tabs which seem to be STUCK. I delete 3 of these tabs, go about my work, none of those 3 are open, and I shut everything down. When I reopen Firefox, those 5 "default tabs" (the 3 I don't want have migrated over from I don't know were - both Chrome and Edge open with New Tab.)

I have enough other problems in my life - and done't tell me to create a new profile. At that point I'll kill firefox and end my donations to Mozilla.

We have been unable to find an explanation of what components of the password file data, like created & modified date, can be included nor any formatting requirements. We've read that only the url, username & password are necessary... does that imply that the date/time fields would not be included if provided when imported?

Following the format of an Exported CSV password file seems reasonable... but risky as it could corrupt the existing file?

My microphone (stand alone) is not being detected by the website "Babel Audio" as I am attempting to connect on the website to test out my audio. My microphone does work for other programs on my computer and my taskbar does show that my microphone is connected correctly.

I have accessed the particular website many times but today it says, "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at shop.naturalcompounder.com.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)"

The sound works for me on Opera (PC Win11), but not on Mozilla - I see it as a bug in the browser... even after clicking on the playback device in the bottom right corner in Mozilla, the sound doesn't start playing...

Hi, I'm running Sierra 10.12.6 on a mid-2011 iMac. I installed Firefox 115.33.0 in March '26, but now see a "not supported message" in the browser.

I downloaded the ESR version of this browser, but when I went to copy to the APPS folder it asks if I want to replace the NEWER one that's already there. ???

Now it says I'm running it on the ESR update channel. Did I just go backwards in browsers? When this ESR expires, if a new one isn't provided then, will I still be able to use/update/install Firefox on this IOS on this iMac?
