this is the problem, Mozilla Firefox can't be fully responsive like a cellphone, but Google Chrome can do it, the touch looks like (and) functions like a normal computer, unlike cellphones.

I find that the latest Firefox ver. 66 will no longer "set as desktop background". When you right-click on an image and choose "Set as desktop background..." nothing happens. This is Windows 7 32-bit, tried on two different computers and with newly-created profiles. Previous versions worked as expected. Win7-64 and Win10-64 and Linux versions appear to work correctly.

Can anybody confirm this? Is it a known bug?

somehow i deleted the "bookmark this page" icon that was always on the right side of the address bar. I have looked and looked in all options and can not find it anywhere. I want to put it back as I use it all the time. Where do I find it and put it back by the address bar. It was the star icon. It will show if i click on the "view history, saved bookmarks and more" but I still can not add it back to the address bar. Please help.................................

I *interpret* it to mean a release update is being pushed to me, without my explicit permission, because I've recently seen updates pushed without permission.

Currently at 62.0.3, not interested in updating to 63+ until update behavior is properly fixed or clarified.

Settings: "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" but it *appeared* that 63 (or something??) was being pushed without explicit permission; is that expected?

I hope Mozilla recognizes some people (myself included) interpret that behavior as similar to malware (or perhaps just weak documentation). although I'm sure that was not the intent!

So, for documentation purposes, what *exactly" does "Firefox is being updated by another instance" mean? A new release is being force-fed (as opposed to "offered")? Or were you trying to send an incremental (e.g. bug-fix) update?

• Something* seemed to be pushing something (63 I assume) to me without my authorization; I ignored it, pending clarification.

Firefox can't show the youtube structure, and show only a blank space! It is really annoying.

I have tried every thing; updated my flash, cleared all of my cash, cookies and history.

Nothing works! Other Web browsers show the youtube perfectly, I don't want to switch to another web browser, please help me!

My hard drive crashed. How do I restore my bookmarks ? Where are they located on my hard drive ?

Doesn't Firefox provide some type of support - call center, chat so you can reach a real HUMAN ?

The tab dropdown menu normally has a bar down the side which shows which tabs are onscreen at the moment. With the latest update this has disappeared, to be replaced by a single bar marking the currently open tab.

It seems silly, but that bar made it easier to control and limit my number of open tabs (which is quite anxiety-inducing, at least for me).

Is there a skin to restore the old appearance, or (even better) an option to restore the setting?

I am unable to open Gmail in Firefox. This has only just occurred - until now it has worked perfectly. On trying to open Gmail I now get the following message.

"Corrupted Content Error

The site at https://mail.google.com/mail/ca/u/0/#inbox has experienced a network protocol violation that cannot be repaired. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected.

Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."

No other site has been affected, and I can still open Gmail in Internet Explorer, {but I prefer not to use IE for emails

I use private browsing in Windows 10 on my laptop. I have unticked the Provide Search Suggestions and the boxes underneath but I still get a blue box under the address bar repeating what I type. Then a white box appears under that with the same info. Extremely annoying. How do I stop these suggestions appearing? Thanks.

Browsing with Firefox takes my pc to hostingcloud.science infected with JS:Miner [trj] I have worked with Malwarebytes Support to get rid of it, to no avail, unless I use a vpn with Avast. I have seen this exploit discussed by other users. When will Firefox find a solution? I have reinstalled, cleaned, scanned, etc to no avail. the only thing that is currentlyl working is using Avast vpn browsing from a different country than my own. Please help, thanks

Hi. I couldn't help but notice that every time I launch my PC firefox brings back the tabs i used the day before. Its annoying because before i even log in i can hear Youtube videos from night before playing through the log in screen. I have no idea on what's actually going on so any tips or ideas would help greatly.

Ps. I've alredy checked Manager for startup programs and firefox isn't there

I have a Macbook Pro with a touch bar, and in Safari you can open a new tab and switch tabs with the touch bar. I was wondering if Firefox (or an extension) had similar touch bar compatibility? It feels like there is something really missing compared to Safari, and the touch bar has been a thing for a while now so I was hoping somebody had already made a solution.

For the last few months (starting with an upgrade to new version), Firefox has asked for my master password immediately upon startup (or as soon as startup is complete), regardless of what web page I am viewing. This does not seem right; it should prompt for master password only when a site that I visit requires a site password.

Another recent post on the support forums advises going to security settings, and disabling the option for "use master password." That's not right, either.

Tried to opened Firefox this morning. Immediately received message box that "Firefox was updating, please wait". When Firefox window opened I did not see my Homepage. Instead there was a window asking me to launch POCKET via Firefox, GOOGLE or email. I was surprised because I had no idea what "POCKET" was. I clicked email but the next screen gave me no more information about what POCKET was so I backed out and opened another window with my HOMEPAGE. When I next clicked BOOKMARKS I discovered my BOOKMARKS folders were all empty----- no bookmark links at all. I tried "Restore Firefox" - (nothing) and then "Restore Bookmarks" ( also nothing.) I am devastated...... Please Help

I've fiddled all the about:config upgrade settings I can find, still my firefox nags every day to up upgrade. Unless I can stop the nag I will change browser. I *never* want to upgrade. Reason: macx have a bizare DNS and at the slightest whim MyDNS is replaced with TheirDNS Every release of firefox seems to 'enhance' using the URL bar to search. Everytime mac's DNS goes haywire I go to eg sandypit.home and get a Google search for 'sandypit.home'.

Why on earth URL bar is used to search on a desktop machine is bizare. I find no about:config setting that says "search with url bar TRUE/FALSE"

I attempted to download the Alexa Toolbar extension. At first Firefox blocked the download so I said allow. Then it showed it downloading before saying "add-on could not be downloaded because of a connection failure. I know this is not my antivirus because I have disabled web download scanning and it still did not work.

take a look at this web site website. In particular the pictures pages web page are loaded extremely slowly or not loaded by firefox quantum (standard 61 or developer edition 62) while are loaded well by brave or chromium.

Can you tell me why? In general, firefox quantum is very fast compared to the others browsers.
