After the last update to version 90.0, I can't continue to use firefox browser. The problem is about opening google sites (youtube, gmail). Other websites seems to work normal, but I can't open youtube and gmail now (google.com itself works heavily). When I type url and click enter, it takes so much time to load, often not loading the site or partially load. Other browsers installed on the same system works normally with the "problematic" websites. I tried hard reload (ctrl+f5), cleaning all browser data, and uninstalling and reinstalling. None of the mentioned actions helped. Please help me to identify and solve the issue.

Hi,
I'm having a really strange problem.
I'm using Firefox on WIN 11 with my new LG laptop.
When I access a website's drop-down menu, it does not offer me options that I can make a selection.
I know that it's missing the 2 options - because when I try it on other PCs - it works fine. So the behaviour is different (and works) on other computers.
And the stranger thing is; it also does not offer the options when I tried it with Chrome and Edge.
I tried clearing the history and cache - and it still gives the same behaviour.
I called the Tech Support of the website - and they said it's clearly a problem with my specific PC. I would tend to agree with them - because I can access their site without any issues on other PCs.
I can't figure out what's in common amongst the 3 browsers I tried on this LG laptop. The only thing I found in common is this laptop!
Any ideas - any thing I can try next? Really driving me nuts... :)

I use Kaltura to record lectures and post them to my course at the U of Utah on Canvas. This semester, Firefox will not allow me to open "my media" where the Kaltura recordings are posted on Canvas. I get the following message: It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow 3rd party cookies.
I copied the Kaltura web address 670542.kaf.kaltura.com that I can see in Chrome and pasted it into a Chrome browser and it goes to my recordings in Canvas when I use Chrome. The same site doesn't work in Firefox. How do I unblock Kaltura third party sessions? Thank you.

Over the past few days FireFox v. 99.0.1 had been non-responsive on a tab.
Got to the point I had to close FF and tried to use cCleaner to clear cache/history etc.
However cCleaner could not proceed as it claimed FF was still open.
Using Windows Task Manager I found FireFox was "Suspended" (screenshot 1)
I then terminated the task - so cCleaner could proceed.
Then FF appeared to work OK. Until the next time....
It just happened a few minutes ago closing FF - using cCleaner - once again FF was "suspended" and had to be terminated in Task Manager.
On FF help it said Update to version 100 which I did BUT the update got stuck on the FF Update - for several minutes (definitely over 10 mins) so I had to terminate the FF Updater using Windows Task Manager (screenshots 2 & 3) again used Task Manager to terminate that.
FF appeared to open OK even showed the version 100 What's new tab.
BUT when I used FF help to check version I got Restart FF to update to version 100 (screen shot 4) Perhaps the last might temporary due to terminating the what appeared to be stuck Updater, but it was worth mentioning.

When I go to create a new bookmark in firefox I find that the file name is already allocated, and that file name is appearing on all old bookmarks as well. When I go to google.com and do a search the results page has the "tools" button but it does not work. The "people also ask" categories are also broken (they will not expand), and, if I click the "images" filter button to view images associated with my search it either shows no images (or only a few images) and a bunch of blank boxes. I have found that if I hold the shift key and click the reload button everything is back and working properly until the next time I do a google.com search, then it is back to the same odd behavior. So, my assumption here is that either a cookie or some site data is corrupting the results page for my search. Running Firefox 92.0 (64-bit) on a Windows 7 Dell machine and everything was working fine until about two months ago. Also, Chrome does not show the same behavior. BTW. I have also done everything I have found that was recommended to fix Firefox issues with Google search. Run Firefox in private mode, run without plugins, changed themes, created new profile, I even completely uninstalled Firefox and did a clean install all with the same results. Any help is appreciated. It is almost got me ready to move back to Chrome.

Hello,
For a few weeks now, I have a lot of crash when using firefox (I'm on windows 10). Not the whole application is crashing, just the current tab that I'm browsing. It said that a random error occured and offer me to reload the tab. It then works but crash again a few moment later (irregular). I tried to update my drivers, to uninstall and reinstall firefox (even did a full wipe of the app and its files before installing again), I tried some old firefox versions but I always have the same issue.
When I check the event viewer I have these kind of error for firefox.exe : Faulting application name: firefox.exe, version: 96.0.3.8061, time stamp: 0x61f17d54 Faulting module name: xul.dll, version: 96.0.3.8061, time stamp: 0x61f17d85 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000000001e75563 Faulting process id: 0x1a84 Faulting application start time: 0x01d81552ce22efba Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\xul.dll Report Id: 6154e84a-b617-4067-a5f6-b49760fffb03 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID:

A short while ago, Firefox was automatically updated to 99.0.1 on my iMac running Monterey 12.3.1. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, the search engine is stuck on Amazon with no other search engine options available. I normally use Google.
Even if I go into the Firefox settings to the "Search" panel, it is showing ONLY Amazon as the available option in the pull-down menu under "Default Search Engine". In the "Search Bar" section, I have it set to "Add search bar in tool bar". But even if I set it to "Use the address bar for search and navigation", and then switch it back to "Add search bar in tool bar", Amazon still remains the only available search engine.
As a last step, I installed the "Google Search" add-on by 3Indian to see if I could get back my Google search engine, but Google still doesn't show up as an option anywhere, and I am still stuck with just Amazon.
Is this a bug in the latest Firefox build? Did the developers forget to enable something when they did this build perhaps?

This new 'update' has just caused me to lose all my tabs and bookmarks. The new version is c**p and it is awful. I went to the page to install the previous version I liked and worked perfectly and when I installed I now have none of my tabs and bookmarks. My pc is nearly unusable and I am now out of business until I can get them back if I can. It will be months to try to get back to where I was and will never get all of what I had. Is there any way to fix this? I need help immediately.

This issue started on August 19, 2021 with a profile I have been using for about 3 years. It persisted so I copied data and the chrome folder to a profile folder I created in October, 2020 but had not used. That was on August 22, 2021. It happened again with the 'new' profile. I quit several times earlier in the day (without clearing history, clearing and managing data) without issue. Sometimes the lock file is NOT deleted when Firefox quits. These are the reports from August 22, 2021: bp-4788a5d4-5989-492e-a8af-fc34b0210822 22/8/21, 21:20 bp-8aadf9d6-51b7-4da1-b28e-439b20210822 22/8/21, 21:18 bp-132d4134-609a-4a45-ac7e-9b3350210822 22/8/21, 21:15 bp-ac52e700-c3d0-48e2-ab32-233b80210822 22/8/21, 21:11 As directed by the support article, I clicked on 'View' for the latest report. Hi can somebody help me please? Sitting here on Christmas Eve at work trying to fix Firefox.
In a nutshell I have a really really annoying bug with Firefox which is going to cause me to pull all my hair out.
In the past the program used to check for updates and it used to work fine during this procedure.
Lately though I've been experiencing a really strange bug.
Whenever Firefox checks for updates the browser then cannot load a single webpage or anything while it is checking. Sometimes the checks can take around 3-5 minutes to complete.
Any videos or streams come to an eventual halt.
I have tried tweak a few settings in about:config such as app.update.interval
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the browser - No change. This still happens usually about 5-8 times a day.
This computer is used for medical emergencies for our clients. We need a full functioning browser. I thought Firefox was that browser but I am beginning to think about installing something else now.
In these situations lives could be put at risk and I want to remedy this problem now before the new year. I imagine we will have a lot of patients coming in. I need to quickly submit forms at times and I really need a stable browser.
a) Can I turn off updates? I would prefer to check manually for updates once a week or so via Help -> About b) Can I reduce the frequency of the checks for updates? c) Is this going to be a normal feature for Firefox from now on?
