logged in websites are not remaining logged in, must re-log in every few hours

hi all i'm having a problem with firefox browser, its not keeping my website logged in. This does not occur after i close my browser but after a few hours of log in, even if i leave the browser opened and come again back later.

I've been using firefox for ages now and never really had this issue. It has only starting happening only recently, since early this week or last week the most.

I've also manually cleared all cookies/log in etc and updated firefox to the latest version maybe it helps, but nothing changed.

Please note that I do not clear history/active log in etc neither it is set up to do it automatically when i close browser also i do not have any 3rd party apps that forbid cookies. I had a firefox addon before but disabled it maybe it was interfering, but it still didnt resolve the problem.

any help much appreciated as it is getting quite irritating. Thanks in advance Lee

first i was thinking that this is only a Firefox addon issue (CookieMaster), but it might actually happen with other browsers too... although maybe it's still related to cookies only?

when i do some posting on some random forums, it always totally randomly cuts off half of the posts and even adds totally random phrases from the same post into totally random places, so the post gets either cut off or really hard to even understand because all of the text scrambling in it...

and that's not even all - now i edited some old wordpress post and then noticed that it has done the same exact word scrambling in it... so it's really hard to understand what is being said in 1 sentence again...

so why is it happening and how can i fix it?

(Opera and Chrome browser don't even allow to log in or do some other editing stuff in wordpress lol)

I am unable to enable 3rd party session cookies, which are required for the Kaltura application, in D2L Brightspace for online education courses in Firefox Nightly 94.0a1.

I have tried Kaltura application specific, and my educational institution specific troubleshooting with no change. I have tried changing settings in Firefox Nightly's Privacy and Security Enhanced Tracking Protections and by Managing Exceptions in Cookies and Site Data with no changes.

On the webpage of my course material there is a message that reads: "It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow 3rd party cookies." under Course Tour Video

I have further troubleshot this issue by managing the same exceptions in Google Chrome where the content is working. I have retrieved the relevant content URLs from the Google Chrome browser Kaltura video and cookie info and used them in Firefox Nightly to allow all appropriate exceptions with no changes.

After all troubleshooting, I have took the step of clearing Cookies, Site Data, History and restarting Firefox Nightly with no changes on the course page and met with the same error message.

How can I resolve this, because I would like to use Firefox Nightly as my preferred browser for my course work?

I cannot remove all cookies on shutdown. I wish to ignore white list, or any other limitation, and automatically remove ALL cookies so that, on my next start-up, there is NO memory space taken up with cookies.

If necessary, I will be pleased to have all whitelist contents deleted on each shut-down.

I do want to keep browse history and have past windows open automatically. This question is only about cookies.

I have set up the HISTORY section of Setup to delete all cookies, but no joy.

I am running Firefox 97.0(64-bit) on Ubuntu-Mate 20.04.

Please tell me how I can do this automatically.

Hi, I'm trying to clear my cache and site data (in order to update my gmail signature), and each time I clear selected sites - namely gmail which had hundreds of thousands of GB cached - it just comes back. After tyring this 4-5 times, Youtube started having hundred of thousands of GB cached too!! So now, despite managing data an clearing these repeatedly, there's more than when I started. A couple weeks ago I started getting the "We've detected a problem with your cookie settings." error message for gmail after restarting my computer and opening firefox. I can fix the problem and get into gmail by clearing all gmail related cookies, but the same problem occurs next time I restart, which means logging back into all my accounts. How can I stop this from recurring? I have cookies enabled and there's nothing in my settings I can find blocking gmail cookies.

I’ve attached an image. I cleared the cookies and cache within the last 24 hours. I have been on both youtube and intuit today but not extensively.

I have ad blocker active on both youtube and intuit.

I keep getting this prompt: "It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow 3rd party cookies." I have tried so many things and nothing is working. I've had this happen before sometimes at the beginning of a semester; but I have been able to restore it in the past. Now, nothing I do works. Please help. Also, how can we prevent this from happening again? Kaltura is a well known website used by colleges and universities for teaching online classes and playing back video. Why do we have to constantly update the settings? And if so, why are they not working now? Please help. I need to teach my class. Thanks.

Hey, since FF 64 B13 there are some changes which broke our APP but I cannot find a solution. When we log into our internal website, we are immediately logged out again as soon as I click a link there. You can see that after loading the page, a control cookie "CmdCookie" is reset to an initial value so that you are directed to the login page. All other cookies remain unchanged. With FF64 Beta 12 everything worked without any problems. Does anyone know where the problem could be? If I turn off all the chaches then I can log in, but sporadically I keep being kicked out.

Several Firefox updates ago, I lost the ability to retain cookies in Firefox. The result is I have to keep signing into websites (e.g., Amazon, Facebook), rather than the websites "remembering" me, which is how it had been for years.

I keep trying to add these (and other) website to Cookies "Manage Exceptions" - but I'm unable to select "Allow". When I do, only "Allow for Sessions" is selected for each website. And even "Allow for Sessions" doesn't last. The websites are gone the next time I open Settings.

Ask to save logins and passwords for websites is selected. "Remember browsing history" IS selected.

Despite a number of updates, this problem has persisted. Please help.

I don't know if it is caused by an update or not. But using MS edge everything works and loads as it did before on fire fox. Is there a change in the SW that could have caused this to happen?

I tried this: from jscher2000 (A) Revert the SameSite behavior to Firefox 95 behavior by setting network.cookie.sameSite.laxByDefault to false.....its not supported.. is it safe to keep this setting on forever????
