After updating to Firefox 70, many websites that were previously working do not work when I navigate to them. However, if I clear the cookies related to that site, then the website works normally again. I've been having to do this for many websites and it's getting tedious. Furthermore, I've had to do this multiple times to the same sites after having cleared cookies previously. For these repeat non-functionality incidents, they come up after reopening the browser, but not every time the browser is quit.

Firefox Quantum v. 65 allows the user to block "all cookies (will cause websites to break)". However, a cookie designated "marketingapis.com" continues to appear in the list of cookies whenever the browser is used. When attempting to block the cookie through the managing permissions option, the blocked cookie disappears from the list of blocked cookie list and appears in the regular cookie list whenever the browser is subsequently relaunched. I would be grateful for any advice how to prevent this cookie from reappearing.
If this is a cookie set by Firefox, information should be disclosed upfront, and users should have a method to prevent its use (or opt out) for all purposes.

I am running Selenium automated tests in Firefox. The problem is that, when running tests on Firefox, the browser is open in "Browser is under remote control" mode and then the session cookies are not kept when the browser is closed.
If I authenticate on my web app out of this "Browser is under remote control" mode, the ai_session cookie is kept as expected. It only is discarded when I am on that mode.
Taking that into account:
1. Is there a way to configure Firefox to keep session cookies even when running in the "Remote control" mode? 2. When configuring Selenium WebDriver, is there some option that allows me to force the browser to keep the session cookies?

I have a multiple logins of google and some other websites which I have added in Firefox and never log out from them so I do not have to log in them again and again. It was working perfectly till last update and now every time I close firefox, cookies.sqlite in profile is being renamed to cookies.sqlite.bak and a fresh sqlite file is created when I restart Firefox, so all logins are gone. Everytime I have to delete the freshly created cookies.sqlite file and rename bak file to cookies.sqlite. My FF version is '63.0.3 (32-bit)' and option of "Accept cookies and site data" is already set to expire on "Until they expire".
Please help me how to toubleshoot it because I cant to loose cookies data at any cost.

I've been using Firefox for ages and never had this problem which was introduced the last few months. Every few weeks Firefox will require me to login to sites that I was already logged in. Addons that require login are affected too. After the second time this happened, I tried resetting Firefox's settings and even creating a new clean profile, but a few weeks later the issue reappeared. I don't know for sure if this is cookies related.

I'm writing a program that use firefox's cookies in order to send requests to websites.
Right now, I'm trying to get firefox's cookies. I was able to get most of the cookies from cookies.sqlite file, but session cookies do not appear there. The internet says that while Firefox is running, session cookies are stored on sessionstore.js file. For some reason this file won't update at all. seems like Firefox ignoring sessionstore.js file
I'll really appreciate any answer

Hi, I'm trying to delete cookies from document.cookie object and expect to see the same list of cookies under Storage Inspector -> Cookies tab in Dev Tool (F12). But the cookies deleted from document.cookie continue to be displayed in the Storage Inspector -> Cookies tab. Please advise if there is any way to delete cookies from Storage Inspector -> Cookies tab using js? How does tab decide what cookie to display and where does it take them from (document.cookie??) ? Thanks in advance!

In Firefox 60 when I go to delete individual cookies I can no longer use the "delete" key on the keyboard. This was always useful for quickly deleting any unwanted cookies, scroll using the arrow then delete. Now I have to ctrl+click, scroll and click remove. One mis-click and they all get unselected and you have to start again. How to re-enable the delete key?

Every once in a while, I go back and try something that worked in older versions of FF -- accepting some cookies and not accepting others.
In the current version, 59.0.3, I go to options, security and scroll down, I've added yahoo to my Exceptions to "allow" rather than "allow for session" and then set the general setting "keep until they expire". Now, this setup seems to be a way to whitelist only those sites I want to allow cookies, expiring others when I close FF -- as that's the most control I now have, the "ask every time" being gone. However, when I close FF and re-open, it hasn't kept the yahoo cookies as the exception implies it should.
How can I customize which cookies stay past the session and which don't?

There's a strange cookie with a long hexadecimal name that keeps showing up in my CCleaner cookies list (see image).
The cookie shows up a few seconds after I launch Firefox, even before I visit any sites. When I run CCleaner, the cookie goes away, but it comes back again the next time I launch Firefox. CCleaner shows the Firefox icon at the bottom of the cookie windows, but, oddly, the cookie does not appear in the cookies list in Firefox settings.
What is this strange cookie, and how do I make it go away?

I don't know if "googleadservices" is an uninvited addon or virus but it inserts itself at the start of any webpage searched for. It effectively prevents the web page from opening at all, der! I cannot find any way of removing it, and ineffective advice has driven me to uninstall Firefox out of frustration, which of course is not what I want to do. From what I can see its been around for a number of years, so why is it still an issue in Feb. 2018?

Preferences > Privacy > Remove individual cookies shows more cookies than cookies.sqlite does
I'm trying to write a cron job that periodically, automatically deletes all the cookies that I don't want. But Firefox seems to store cookies outside of thee sqlite database that is supposedly used for that.
To illustrate:
~/.mozilla/firefox/XXXXXXXX.default $ rm cookies.sqlite* # delete all cookies.sqlite files ~/.mozilla/firefox/XXXXXXXX.default $ ps aux | grep fire # make sure firefox isn't running anymore name 20593 0.0 0.0 14228 1092 pts/5 S+ 23:24 0:00 grep --color=auto fire # it's not
~/.mozilla/firefox/XXXXXXXX.default $ sqlite3 cookies.sqlite # open the cookies database
SQLite version 3.11.0 2016-02-15 17:29:24 Enter ".help" for usage hints. sqlite> select * from moz_cookies; Error: no such table: moz_cookies # it doesn't exist.
Leave sqlite. Start Firefox.
~/.mozilla/firefox/XXXXXXXX.default $ sqlite3 cookies.sqlite
SQLite version 3.11.0 2016-02-15 17:29:24 Enter ".help" for usage hints. sqlite> .tables # cookies.sqlite / moz_cookies exists again moz_cookies sqlite> select count(*) from moz_cookies; # and it contains 2 cookies 2 sqlite>
But in Firefox, when I now select Preferences > Privacy > Remove individual cookies, I get a much larger list of cookes. Where are they stored, if not in the cookies.sqlite database?
