In options I have homepage and new windows set to custom urls. The new tab option doesn't have an option for custom url but I'm opening a new window so it shouldn't follow the new tab setting. I never open tabs, just windows.
Why does every update have to cause a problem with my settings? I leave updates as long as I possibly can as they always cause a problem.
How do I set the startup page?
Firefox was opening to my homepage. It now opens to a blank page. How do I reset what page opens when I start Firefox?

Hi folks,
Just had the last update. Like last time, starting Firefox after installing I get a new tab instead of the login page of gmail. The setting in Options is still correct for gmail. With the previous update it took 2 days before it remembered suddenly... It's not the end of the world, of course... but kind of irritating :-)
Anybody an idea what is going wrong there?

Hi,
1# Firefox often loads a blank "New Tab" in staid of my set homepage, about 50/50 chance. homepage = https://google.com/ncr
Things i tried: - fresh install (including appdata removal) - with and without addons - waited asking till an update to see if it would help
2# Sometimes when scrolling via mousewheelclick/middlemouse at about reading speed, the page turns blank till i scroll back up a bit and continue.
thanks in advance, Aapjuh
