Hello. I am using Firefox on both Windows 10 and MX Linux, and I noticed a difference in how the New Tab page displays shortcuts. Even though both browsers are set to display 2 Rows in the Home settings, Firefox on Windows displays 10 shortcuts per row (20 in total), whereas Firefox on MX Linux only displays 8 shortcuts per row (16 in total), details in attached screenshots. Could someone explains why there are differents like that? Was it because the different between OS or Firefox versions (both was updated to lastest version)? Thank you.

I always use C Cleaner to clear unneeded my unneeded data once a month. It does not usually affect my Firefox shortcuts on the Firefox homepage. It was also after Firefox had updated to version 158.0 . I did this on Wednesday (14th October) and all of my pinned Firefox shortcuts have gone missing. They have not come back, and no other shortcuts are being shown after I have since visited any websites. What has happened to them? Will this be corrected? Regards John

I am back again with the same issue that I presented on the forum post three months ago. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1594903?utm_campaign=questions-reply The difference is now it is happening on Firefox v157.0.1;everything else is identical. Qubes os R4.3.2 with Firefox 157.0.1 in a Fedora 44 xfce VM. To recap I open one window for Proxmox Datacenter Manager and as soon as I click to sign in Firefox completely disappears. I can open this in Chromium browser and Firefox ESR v.140.17.0 esr perfectly fine. Please consult the original post for all I did to troubleshoot this. I am working with the esr version now but would like to help put this issue to bed. Community members stepped up last time to help me so I am here to do my small part for others. Amazon prime video won't fully load. I've tried everything, shutting off everything, dumping the cache. It fully loads on chrome. This is new since the latest firefox update... what is happening?

this issue started when firefox just randomly reset my browser a week ago.

whenever i open a pdf in my file explorer, it opens a completely new firefox window under my default-profile. it doesn't open on my currently open/used window.

for context: i have two firefox profiles, 1 for work, and 1 is the default-profile which is "personal"

anyone know a possible solution to this? or why this happened?

Hello, I installed the Firefox 158.8 update on my iMac (macOS Sequoia 15.8.1) today. All websites are working as usual, except for Amazon Prime Video; it loads once and then freezes. I can't perform any actions on the page—everything remains unresponsive. I can't enter a different URL in the address bar or reload the page, either. The only thing I can do is close the page. I’ve cleared the cache and disabled ad blockers, but nothing changes. Strangely, this doesn't happen with Firefox on my MacBook. What could the problem be?

Hi I've used Firefox for decades. Now, since updating to Firefox 158.0 (aarch64) on my Mac Studio and a Macbook Pro, I’ve been unable to open my usual banking websites. They still work in Safari on the same Mac & Macbook Pro and through the banks’ iPhone apps.

Have any recent Firefox security or privacy changes affected banking websites? Which settings should I check, and how can I safely allow these sites without disabling protection for all websites?

I frequently use textareas to edit text files on a server. Often, after saving the form, I discover a need for further editing, like a misspelling or something omitted, Previous FF versions, after hitting the back button, placed the cursor where I last edited. Now version 158 puts the cursor at the top, requiring a search for the mistake, like Chrome (another reason not to use it). Bug or feature? Is there some workaround or will I have to revert to version 157?

I'm experiencing an issue with how Firefox displays date and time input fields on websites when using Hebrew (Israel).

• • Environment:**

- Firefox version: 158.0 (64-bit) - Operating system: Windows - Browser interface language: Hebrew - Regional locale: he-IL

• • The problem:**

Date fields are displayed in the format YYYY.MM.DD (for example, 2026.10.14) instead of DD/MM/YYYY (14/10/2026).

Time fields also sometimes display their components in an incorrect order, apparently due to right-to-left (RTL) handling.

This issue occurs across multiple websites, including the standard HTML date input example on MDN, so it is not specific to any particular website.

• • Troubleshooting already performed:**

1. Verified Windows regional settings: Hebrew (Israel), short date format dd/MM/yyyy, and time format HH:mm. 2. Verified Firefox regional preferences show he-IL. 3. Tested intl.regional_prefs.use_os_locales with both true and false. 4. Tested intl.locale.requested with he,en-US, he-IL,en-US, and he-IL. 5. Changed the preferred website language order to prioritize he-IL. 6. Restarted Firefox after making changes.

Unfortunately, the date issue persists, and the time field display is also inconsistent.

• • Expected behavior:**

Date fields should display DD/MM/YYYY, and time fields should display HH:mm in the correct visual order, while keeping the Firefox interface in Hebrew.

Could you please confirm whether this is a known Firefox bug and whether there is a supported workaround or a planned fix?

I tried to activate the in-built VPN, so I clicked "Get Started", signed in with the Mozilla Account I have, and the VPN pop-up showed up again, but unlike in the support page's tutorial, I was met with the "Get Started" option again. Maybe this error exists because I didn't create an account from scratch then and there? (in the tutorial, account creation was a step).

PS: Why the Linux switch in the attached image? Pewdiepie... I never got to it though...

Automatic translation of YouTube subtitles often stops working in Firefox (especially after ads). Refreshing the page does not fix it, whereas in Chromium-based browsers it works fine. Please look into this issue.

My Macbook Air (M1, 2020) has be moving slowly recently. I wondered if how I'm using Firefox could be contributing. I typically have two Firefox browser windows open, with 5 or 6 tab groups each with several tabs.

In addition and more specifically, I'm wondering if closing (collapsing) a tab group means those tabs won't be contributing to my computer's CPU load. Thank you.
