Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

火狐浏览器更新后会自动清除C盘用户下的所有文件，安全软件阻止都阻止不了，下面是记录，已经被清除2次了，对火狐已经不爱了。

I am getting the message "updates are disabled by the admin." I am the only one here so I don't know how that happened. I need to install Slack but need to update first. I followed the steps to edit registry but still can't update. Please advise.

How do I update Firefox on my rand McNally tablet When I factory reset it ,it went back to the original version and I can't get it to update to the version I had beforehand

So I guess my Firefox update to ver. 147 from 146 by its auto update feature, but I realized all the past personal data (ie, history, cookies, passwords, profile, etc) was gone.

I have Mozilla Account (I think it's the same as Firefox Account back in the old days), so my personal data is now retrieved from some device as far as possible, but I lost local personal settings like Shortcuts on the main page on my laptop,p which is the main device to do everything.

I can't help what happened to me, and I will rebuild what I used to be on that day, but I am curious if it's just me, or there is some logic to cause this data loss.

cannot update browser. Currently using Linex Mint, #139, but latest is 150. As stated above, when I try to update, says browser update disabled by organization. Do not understand, I never authorized disabling browser updating.

I'm too old and tired to try to find my way around the new update. How can I return to the previous version? Life was so simple. Now I spend more time trying to find things that I can't find than I do online doing something productive.

Please tell me there's a simple way to get back to the previous version and that I won't lose my bookmarks and links.

В России блокируют Firefox, по этому авто обновления не устанавливаются, я бы хотел получить ip и url серверов от куда скачиваются обновления. Это поможет обойти блокировку и восстановить работу firefox в России

I have deployment firefox 148.0.2 version from SCCM, its on autoupdate. So, when it is pushing to machine and during launch its giving prompt " You have launched olderversion of firefox ". even though i have cleared old version or any other version and then pushed still giving same prompt. We need to remove this prompt from appearing to users. kindly suggest how to fix

trying to update old version of Firefox but seeing error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap and the message "no common encryption algorithm" on a MacBook Pro with OS 10.5.8 - - not the machine I'm using in order to seek help

Greetings, Team. When Firefox does an Auto-update while starting, an error message arrives, " NSIS Error:

Error writing temporary file. Make sure your temp folder is valid.

OK " Please, where and what name does this 'temp folder' have?

How may I fix this Error?
