Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

Comments on YouTube videos are no longer visible after Firefox version 115.10esr update. They do however work on my other computer which also has Firefox but not an esr version since it has a more current version of windows. I tried deleting all cookies and cache, starting in safe mode, disabling ad-blocking on YouTube but nothing worked. I'm thinking of rolling back to the previous update but would rather have this problem fixed.

I have an issue where I go to website and I get a message that the website is temporarily available. I cannot go to a different webpage for what URL I want. I believe this has to do with history. I suspect I can get past this by flushing the history. I can get to the website I want by using a different browser such as chrome. Ho do I fix this?

IBM clone using windows 10, firefox 125

After the latest update to 125.0.2 (64-bit) the browser works fine for a few minutes and then pages won't load. It starts working again after a restart [ for a few minutes]. I have cleared the cache & data. Chrome works ok.

I was using FF on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS. Had version FF 120.x and playing video in Netflix worked fine. Then I updated to FF 124.x and playing video stopped with error F7355-1203.

I've checked the DRM setting and it is enabled, I checked addons and I have OpenH264 and Widevine installed, both set to always active.

I've checked installed codecs and I do have libavcodec58 installed. No update for that available via apt. I also have ffmpeg installed, no problem with that either. I can play Netflix videos in Chrome, but not in Firefox now. Something happened to Firefox when I updated from 120.x to 124.x. Today I updated to 125.x, same problem, Netflix video won't play.

I've unchecked the DRM setting and re-checked it, and that does reinstalled Widevine but does not fix the problem.

Any ideas what could be the cause?

Hi and thanks for your help. I was playing around with my DMARC settings for my new site and was looking around at who was hosting my WordPress domain for http://ibizignite.com, and Google directed me to GoDaddy. That was wrong. However, in my fooling around, somehow GoDaddy and this associate Westechnologies keeps popping up when I open up my browser after booting up my computer, and I cannot get rid of it. I don't know where to find it, because there is no associated extension anywhere in my extension list.

I tried to use another add-on to block it, and it does, but the darn site keeps appearing every startup after a fresh boot, and neither Westechnologies not GoDaddy appear anywhere in my Zone Map or anywhere else in my registry. Can anyone help me get rid of it please?

I want to enable cookies for outlook and google, the rest I dont want.

I have attempted to look at the cookie's url for outlook and add that to the exception list, but outlook still harasses me with its annoying 2fa

How do I find the actual address to put in the exceptions list to stop this issue?

I have recently refreshed Firefox on my laptop running MacOS. Previously I had changed the full-screen-transition in about:config to be zero, but since refreshing changing the setting hasn't disabled the transition. My config is this currently: full-screen-api.transition-duration.enter 0 0 full-screen-api.transition-duration.leave 0 0 full-screen-api.transition.timeout 0 Despite everything being like before the transition persists... I'm currently on the latest version of Firefox (125.0.3)

I am autofilling an ELSA payment portal. Firefox autofills the payment information correctly. But the program will not recognize the autofilled information and doesn't let me process the payment. I then overwrite all my information and then it allows me to proceed with the payment. I have used the same procedure for years but as of this last week, the autofilled information is not recognized as I click the "Continue" button after the autofilled info is complete, and it won't work. The ELSA source (State of Wisconsin) person said it's a browser problem on my end. No. The online form autofills just fine. Can anyone help? Thanks. Jeff

I have managed to figure out ways to remove items from context menus from various pages here and around the web however it always seems to leave an additional unwanted separator line that I cannot find how to get rid of.

There are a number of additional lines I am looking to remove but the current one that is annoying me (based on most usage) is the additional line between 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' and Search which is an add-on - Simple Context Search - https://tinyurl.com/yck5c (as shown in the attachment).

I did have 'search google for...' directly above the 'Search for Google' option which I removed.

I also removed 'Copy Link' which was above the 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' option which I also removed.

Hope the above makes sense and any help greatfully appreciated.

Whenever I select tab and then start typing in the page search box it automatically jumps to the URL/Address bar. This is not only annoying but it makes it difficult for me to see what I'm typing, and it often results in unwanted typing errors. I have yet to encounter a single longtime Firefox user who thinks this is a good idea, but I have met several who've decided to drop Firefox and start using Chrome just to be done with it. I've been using Firefox since early 2005 and I've mostly been happy with it but this is just to annoying to continue. I'm complaining because the feature exits, I'm complaining because there's no option to opt for those of us who find it annoying and will never become comfortable with it.

If there is a working fix that I've been unable to find, then please point me to where or what it is so that I can apply it.

So on my macbook when I enable fullscreen the anmation is super weird. first it stretches the video to the top and then just expands to the whole screen, when I go out of fullscreen is stretches to the bottom and then goes out off fullscreen. for example on safari it just expands the video until it takes up the whole screen. I have gone in about:config and disabled the fullscreen animation but that did nothing.

I had to reinstall windows and it wipe Firefox.i didn't know my password so I resetted it. Problem is it wiped all my data. Didn't know changing passwords for forefox would so this. Anyway I can get them back?

Firefox slows down when I use web developer tools, I use this whenever I try to save an image on Instagram or other sites that I go to just to save an image or look for the video using the web tools.

Is there a way to fix this issue it lags the browser or it freezes for a second.

I've got a really old MacBook Pro that's still running 10.13, and Firefox has started displaying a nag screen telling me that this version is no longer supported, and to install a newer version of MacOS.

Is there something in the advanced settings that will stop it nagging me? I now know it's not going to get any more updates, there's no need to keep telling me every 20 minutes...

(Note to the devs: a "don't remind me again" checkbox would be nice for things like this!)

I currently have a 'bad/rouge' session of Windows 7 Firefox (don't really know how that happened) open (7 'Windows', each with one empty Tab plus 1 'Window', with only 1 populated tab (Yahoo Mail)! I need to close Firefox in order to restart my laptop (strange things have been happening, including not being able to access the internet)!! On restarting, I want to be able to open Firefox with the previous session I had with my 8 'Windows', each with dozens and dozens of Tabs! Please help, I sorely need those many 'Windows' and Tabs!!!
