Hi,

At some point in the last couple of weeks, I've started running into very frequent crashes running Firefox in the Linux container on my Chromebook. It previously worked well, but is now unusable. I'm now running Firefox version 147.0.3 on Chrome version 144.0.7559.167. This is after I did a clean reinstall of Firefox using flatpak, which didn't help. It seems like it often happens when my mouse hovers over a browser tab or icon (eg account, extensions, hamburger). Other quirky display behaviour, which mayor may not related, is that videos are often not working (eg Youtube, BBC), and various browser windows (eg when selecting Manage Bookmarks, or restarting in safe mode), open a small size-reduced window. Latest crash reports below -

I received this email after I tried to sign in to my Mozilla account. This is the relevant info from the email:

Your {$providerName} account has been linked to your Mozilla account Mobile Safari on iOS 18.7

I don't know what I did to cause this email to be sent. I wasn't trying to link any other account to my mozilla account.

I'm trying to diagnose an unusual problem on a relative's computer elsewhere in the country via TeamViewer. When Firefox is initiated, the same picture (a man taking a shower) appears, and the VERY 'long URL starts with a Yahoo image file (yimg) and also contains buzzfeed.com well into that URL. I thought I could easily diagnose this, and have failed. Home page is set to blank page. I cleared all browsing data. When that failed I exported bookmarks, created a new profile, and the problem still continued, even before importing the bookmarks or adding any extensions. Something is retaining the unwanted startup behavior. Tonight, out of desperation, I will reconnect and look through the registry.

Can anyone surmise why an unwanted URL is being invoked upon Firefox startup?

When opening Firefox version 147 "Error: Platform version '147.03' is not compatible with minversion >=147.02 maxversion <=147.02. Maybe try to reinstall Firefox?" The browser will not open.

I was using windows 11 and have been trying to get rid of MS365 which I never used but have been charged for a solution , but have been blocked and refused cancellation after they asked me to change my email address and PW . After the last system update, I now am being asked to enter my "Primary password", every time I open a new page. When I try entering a password , it is not recognized and I have to click on cancel in order to proceed. I have used what I recall was my password but it is recognized, but I don't get a message telling me it is the wrong password. How can I get back to the previous version that did not ask for my Password. Is that an option?
