Hello,

I use FF with the setting on start to restore the tabs of the last session.

Now I need a specific tab active/focused on start. (It is a WebRTC for our phone system and if it not focused at start ring tone will not be played)

Is there a way to start with my last opened tabs restored but this specific tab active and in selected/focused.

Pinning this tab seems to load it but WILL not play a ringtone without clicked first. If I end FF with this tab active and therefore the tab is active on next start the ring tone will be played.

But knowing me I WILL forget to click on this tab either on start or before ending FF.

I have a lot of tabs open. I like it that way, but if I close a tab the "hidden tabs" feature gets activated. And all the tabs go away. It isn't a huge issue it is just very annoying. How can I disable this annoying feature?

I am wondering if it is at all possible to adjust the settings when pulling a tab into a new window. For example, if I am running Firefox fullscreen I would like the tab that I pull to be opened in windowed form. I noticed that this is typically the case when using Chromium-based browsers, but noticed that on Firefox it stays in the format as the previous window. (if already windowed the pulled tab will also be windowed) is there a way to ensure that the pulled tab will always be windowed?

When FF on my Windows 10 machine crashed FF asked if I wanted to refresh FF. I said yes, and FF reopened as usual with all my tabs. After I closed and reopened FF the next time, it reopened without any of my tabs. I then discovered that FF had unchecked the “Startup Open previous windows and tabs” box, which I had previously religiously monitored to be sure it was checked. So I lost all my previous tabs.

In my sessionstore-backups folder I found the file upgrade.jsonlz4-20 as last in a list of three more recent file names. I then dropped the file upgrade.jsonlz4-20 in the scrounger tool on this site: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html. It expanded in the big window, and when I clicked on Save uncompressed JSON as text, I see all the URLs run together in a text file.

How can I use this information to recover my tabs, please? If so, how? Or is there a better way to use the Scrounger – or another – tool?

Otherwise if I delete the three more recent file names in the list above the upgrade.jsonlz4-20 file, and restart FF will I recover the missing tabs? If so would I the check or uncheck the Startup Open previous windows and tabs box?

Lastly, can I restore my missing tabs using Windows’ “System restore” tool from 3 days before the crash?

Hi there,

"When you open a link, image or media in a new tab, switch to it immediately" is happening - even though the box is unchecked. Only in favorites bar, not in web page or Firefox homepage Shortcuts (1 row or 2 rows) or Recent activity.

It's very irritating, so i hope there is a solution...?

When I have a website open and want to open a new one from the bookmark bar it opens it in the same tab, thus losing the first website. How do I stop this happening? I want to open several websites from bookmarks and have them all open at the same time. Thanks.

I guess this applies for any web browser, but is there an option to disable this with Firefox...? Basically, whenever my BT connection goes offline, Firefox decides to take it upon itself to open up just to tell me it can't connect/that the web is offline etc. It's seriously annoying. I know it's offline as the hub light will change from blue to green/orange etc. It's even worse if I'm doing something else, such as playing on a game, and it's interrupted by the web browser opening itself. :-\

I use google meet a lot. I need to screen my screen very often. i have used other web browsers which let to share a singe tab in the meet, but in firefox, can only get the option for either a window or an entire screen which is very inconvenient. I hope to hear from you soon because i use firefox and its be a shame for me to switch to other web browsers completely for this issue. My email is vijay.rh@gmail.com

I have lost my tabs after accidentally clicking top right hand cross and now can't all my 30 tabs back, very frustrating! This the one that keeps coming back which is not the page I want.

For the third time with a broken arm! I set up my home page and tabs for work, banking etc. Last 2 days after I have closed down the night before, all my tabs are gone. I can't spend half a day setting them all up again only to have them, disappear again. Please find my tabs and restore them so I can continue my work.

When i try to log into my banking at anz.com.au Login i always get "Your Tab just Crashed " Just tried a tastingaustralia.com.au and a tab that says "explore winter series" i get the same Your tab just crashed The banking login has been like this for weeks If i log in using Edge it works fine Whats wrong with Firefox  ??

Sometimes, I'll click a new tab, and "something" happens. It's like it tries to create a new tab, yet it's just a half-formed nothing that you can't interact with. And when this happens, Firefox is destined to eventually crash / become unresponsive. I literally have to reboot to get Firefox working again. I haven't tried logging out. That would probably work, too.

This also happens when moving new tabs, but I've only notice that happen on tabs with Youtube.com open.

When I pin a tab, then quit Firefox, the pin is lost forever.

Most other tickets I've seen are about restoring them, but I'm looking for some setting to change so that I can pin tabs.

My history is set to: Remember My setting to delete all cookies and site data on close is unchecked

Any ideas?
