I open up firefox and the message appears - you must be signed into this network in order to access the internet. BUT i can use the internet. This is not a problem on a W10 machine which I also use.

Why is every company from Microsoft, Google and Firefox so obsessed with changing how I have my devices set up? I do not want all the extra feed as I open the browser. Every time the browser is opened there is so many more added shortcuts to my main screen. That is super annoying when I already had in place the shortcuts I wanted. I have gone through multiple times to dismiss the ones Firefox had added to the shortcuts. But new ones just keep popping up in the shortcuts. I have also blocked all the advertisements such as sports, fit health, politics and many more that is offered that I do NOT want. It crowds up space and is VERY distracting to my homework assignments. I just started using this browser because my college recommended that I install it to my laptop because Microsoft does not support 100% of their programming requirements. I wish the settings to find this would be easier and more available to the average Joe who is not familiar when changing browser settings. Plus it switch my mouse buttons. When I have always used the Left click on the mouse to select the word that needed to be modified auto correct spelling... now it is set for the Right click of the mouse. Why does every company feel the need to completely modify other peoples stuff? Same thing with my TV connected to the WI-FI. Ads are always popping up, modifying TV preferences, moving apps around on the main screen. Every time I power up it has a new screen. Its honestly disgusting. The world around us is always changing... can our personal home lives be left alone with our preferred preferences? With out major companies thinking "Heeyyy we can make that better!" without asking from the consumer! It would be nice to have the option when powered on asking "We have a new product, would you like to try it?" allow us to select yes or no! Or just fix the old stuff that had glitches... but nah we going to keep pushing forward and annoy everyone to fill our pockets! I am NOT pleased with the product that has been recommended to me.

I turned on Firefox this morning and its all changed I have no bookmarks no menu and no search bar I hate this new system Why cant i go back to the previous version ???

I have moved my profile to a different location on the hard drive to make backups easier. How do I tell firefox where the profile is now located. c:\users\med\my data\PROFILES\mozillA\*.deFAUlt

Good Morning! I've just come back to FF after using another browser for quite a few years. Things have changed alot here, but I'm loving it all so far! With that being said, have been trying to get a few extensions set up. Main one being Open Link with New Tab. (WHY doesn't FF do that automatically? lol.) Anyway, obviously I'm doing something wrong because it just stays grayed out. I've uninstalled/reinstalled quite a few times. I know it's something so basically simple and I'm overlooking it. HELP! Thanks! Lynn

This must be a setting in Firefox somewhere relating to Tabs, so I will continue to investigate, but... I feel like I could always click an email link I had received and it would open my preferred browser, in my case Firefox Mac OS latest (both) on a last Intel Macbook Pro. Now, a link click opens Firefox but only to the last page I was on, and I again need to click the email link to get the new tab to open. Why/where/help please?!

Not sure if "browse" is the correct topic but here we go:

After a random crash (I don't remember the details, been a while) I've "refreshed" Firefox. Following that I started to have some problems with Google Meet. Haven't had any for years and suddenly when i open Google Meet (working from home and using Google Meet as an online meeting platform daily), everything becomes unresponsive. I can't change tab, cannot close Firefox from the close button, nothing. I open the Windows Task Manager and End Task manually to close the window so I can restart the browser. After restarting Firefox and launch Google Meet, it doesn't crash.

The other problem is when I try to watch something on Netflix, I hear the sound, see the subtitles but the video content is not present. It's just black screen with UI on it. Yes, I checked the DRM setting and no, other streaming services that I use don't have this problem. I can bypass this by launching Firefox in troubleshoot mode but I want to use my extensions. I even tried to enable them one-by-one to see if anyone causing problems but even when I disable all of my extensions like in the troubleshoot mode I'm still having the same problem.

I tried several solutions that I found on reddit etc. but nothing worked so far. I also re-installed Firefox and nothing changed.

Please help me before I lose my mind (:

It looks like my firefox profile got corrupted during a power outage is there a way to repair it or at the very least get back my opened tabs? I had lot of them and it will take a long time to find them all again...

After clearing Browsing data, therefore Loging out of twitch etc., i now constantly get the error "Browser not supported" on attempted login

Other Browsers (Chrome) work fine and ive already tried deleting Extensions and reinstalling the Browser to no avail

I have had this problem in the past, but now its back again. At first I just reset my password every time, then I set up the password to be auto-filled. I have had no sign-in failures for months. At one point i did figure out how to check my sign in history to see the failed attempts, and there were none. That was a long time ago, and I have since forgotten how to check this. The problem does seem to be with firefox as it does not happen with chrome.

The sound works for me on Opera (PC Win11), but not on Mozilla - I see it as a bug in the browser... even after clicking on the playback device in the bottom right corner in Mozilla, the sound doesn't start playing...

Why https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/IWOJEWDZ128 my weather station site for several months shows status offline and direct me at once to main site wunderground.com ? It is only on Firefox, Chrome, Android works normal and here it is online. Win 11, Avast Free, blockers (active adblock, ublock, ect.) In past several years was all ok I did change nothing with settings, blocker were in past also. What and where to look for?

If it ain't broke, don't fi(o)x it. Never try to be too clever. I cannot log out of OUTLOOK.COM, then after goodness knows hot long, it says that I have been kicked out and need to login again. CRAP!!!!!!!
