The problem seems to have started after a browser update. Running up-to-date Windows 10. This issue does not occur when using Edge. Youtube videos are blank (spinning). Sometimes it results is a still frame, other times it spins forever. Many times, you can see a series of stills in the video as the time line is dragged from the beginning to the end of the video. A small number of videos will work, but I have not been able to predict which will work or why. A different Win 10 machine on the same network is fine. I have tried all of the solutions I could find searching on-line (clearing cache, cookies, reboot, restart, update browser software, etc, multiple times). Checked settings in windows, firefox and youtube looking for something. Any help would be appreciated. Have used Firefox for decades and I don't want to be forced to change browsers.

Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox (and add Sites shortcuts) 2. Do not navigate to any website 3. Observe network activity using Process Monitor or clash verge

Expected Behavior: - Opening about:home should not establish TCP connections to remote sites unless the user interacts with them.

Actual Behavior: - TCP connections are observed immediately to sites listed in Top Sites shortcuts, even without user interaction.

Notes: - Disabling DNS prefetch, speculative preconnect, and predictor settings does not prevent these connections. - Extensions have been ruled out, I can distinguish darkreader.org(extention) mozilla.org(update) and reddit.com(your sponsor url) from *.edu.*(my shortcuts), DON'T mention that. - Connections occur before any page navigation or clicks. - I suspect that Firefox may attempt to load site icons (favicon / tile thumbnails), but this is unconfirmed.

I just read a PC World article concerning extensions containing malware. AdBlock was listed and I've been using the extension for some time. Are you aware of this issue? Is the extension available viz Firefox setting/extensions in question. Should I remove it?

In Australia, the Government Weather Bureau Service website site is WWW.bom.gov.au. When try to connection to various pages on this website, it can take up to 15 secs for page to appear. If I use Chrome, this problem does not occur. On searching Google, one suggestion is the fact that WWW.bom.gov.au only allows unsecured access ie. only allows http:// access not https://. Is there a setting in Firefox which will allow both types of access? I have tried in Settings/Privacy&Security/HTTPS-Only Mode to allow exceptions, but this does nothing. Any advice please. After running cc cleaner and even that i de select the book mark and side setting the Firefox Bookmars and history is non functional . i did create a new profile yesterday biut today i have the same Issue. I uninstalled CC CLeaner but i want to restore my Bookmarks system i need help with that. the explanation here are not really helpful

With the latest update to Firefox, 147.0.1, our test suites run with the extension, Selenium IDE, has errors, "Failed:n.createEvent(...).initKeyEvent is not a function". I am running the latest version of Selenium IDE. Installing the previous version of FF has no errors. What is the solution?

All of a sudden today yahoo will not load I am able to load fine with edge I keep trying and sometimes it will partially load..I've used firefox for years along with yahoo wth zero issues..please help I have cleared browsing history etc to no avil

Where are my shortcut tiles? I used CCleaner and they all disappeared and I can't get them back even though I make sure they were on and have 2 rows selected and restarted my computer since. This happened last week and still no sign of them. See pic for reference.

I have a Windows 7 PC. IE no longer works. I would like to use Firefox to access the Internet. Firefox offers a version for download. I got it using my Windows 11 PC, however it fails saying that it can only be installed on Windows 10. Can this be fixed? I cannot access the Internet from my Windows 7 PC.

I can't save and download a modified PDF file.

To put it simple: I open a PDF file on Firefox; Rotate it clockwise; Open the Tools menu (»); Click Save; The saving window opens; I save the file; When I open it, the file is as at start, before rotating.

Hello. I'm having trouble using a password manager or auto script function within that password manager. It says please enable JavaScript within your browser. I use Firefox as my default browser. This is not the only time I've been asked to enable JavaScript. When I go to do so, Java is already enabled. So I can't figure this out without your help. Thank you
