Hello, I received an email from you asking me to change my Firefox password for account security reasons. When I changed it, all the data synced in Firefox with my email was deleted. This upset me greatly because I lost important data and saved websites. Please restore the deleted data. Thank you.

Why can't I sync computer bookmarks to iPhone? I can't get my iPhone to show up on list of connected devices. I've tried everything in Help. I have a Mozilla Account. Running 135.0.1

From the Firefox Start Page on my iPhone (running 18.3.1) . . . the menu in the bottom right hand corner does not give me the option to "Sync and Save Data". This is a roadblock for me! I'm not a computer genius but I'm not completely ignorant. The title pretty much says it - I have Chrome and Firefox on both my iPhone and my windows PC. I want Chrome to sync with itself on both devices (it does this just fine) and Firefox to sync on both (does this fine too). What I don't want is my history, bookmarks, etc. syncing between Chrome and Firefox. I didn't set this up intentionally but that's what they're doing now - my Google search history from Firefox is showing up when I open the main Google page in Chrome (on both devices). I'm not signed into my Google account in Firefox so I'm a little baffled by how this is happening. I have two completely different use cases for these two browsers and don't want them swimming in the same pool, as it were. Anyone know how to fix this?

You used to be able to right-click a device in the sync tabs sidebar, and choose 'open all in tabs', but since the last update this has gone. So where's that option now? Thanks

I was at a friend last night and logged into my monzilla account on his firefox browser. To my shock all his passwords, over 300 of them, got added to my password. I just want to point out here that his passwords were stored locally without an account. As soon as I logged in it started syncing on my account. This is a HUGE SECURITY BREACH and should be addressed immediately. there should at least be a prompt or 2 making sure that I want to add locally stored password to my account or not.

If I had not noticed it at that time I would probably have gotten away with all of his passwords without me or him knowing. I had to manually delete the ~300 entries. makes you think how many times this already happened in the past for others.

I have Firefox on two Windows computers and was wondering what is the proper way to sync them.

One computer is not used often and I want to sync Firefox on it it with the Firefox on the computer I use daily so I want the Firefox that does not have the updated files updated using the Firefox data files on the computer I use daily and not the other way around. So what is the correct procedure to do this other than to make sure the Firefox program version is updated on the computer that is not used often?

My password is accepted to get into Firefox but not accepted to sync, I guess it is. It used to do so for years but now will not after the last update. Doing what the threads already suggested does not work in part because my Firefox does not even have the same places to activate what the suggestions offer.

Historically, I remember when you open the `sync` sidebar and right click on the tab grouping (i.e. Firefox on iPad), it opened a context menu where you had the option to `open all synced tabs`. This seems to be missing from the latest version of Firefox (138), but wanted to check in to see if I'm missing something or if I should downgrade my version of Firefox to get that functionality again.

Today when I powered on my pc and opened up firefox all tabs were lost.

I have the option to retain tabs when opened up enabled.

I could not find them anywhere, so I had to search opened tabs from the other synced devices and click on each of them, and create again all the tab groups.

This is a big problem if randomly all the tabs can get lost, am I doing something wrong?

Another thing : I thought that when I create groups of tabs, and save them I coul retrieve them across all my synced devices, but the other devices can not see those groups, is this a normal behaviour?

Well being an OAP I needed new laptop. Always used Firefox browser but finding it difficult to get restarted. Had to opt out of window s to even download. Apparently I can transmit(?) my existing passwords etc from one laptop to another is this correct? Only basic computer knowledge but trying hard !! Karen x

I love Firefox for Mac, but, on iPad and iPhone, it's impossible to use extensions such as Winger to save tabs. Too many times, I've lost 100 to 200 tabs at once, and so I switched back on iPad and iPhone to Safari. I never had a problem with Safari's built-in window-tab saver on iPad and iPhone but lost thousands of tabs on Mac, hence my move to Firefox on Mac.

On Firefox on Mac, when I click on Firefox View, I can view tabs from other devices, but there's no way to copy multiple tab links at once (you have to go one by one). If I ever were to shift back to Firefox for iPad and iPhone, does anyone know of a way to easily save 100 to 200 tabs from these devices?

I would rather use Firefox because I can't stand how Safari opens links from outside Safari, forcing the use of some new default window over the named window I already have open. It's so much work to micro-manage this browser.

Recently I had un/reinstalled my firefox via snap and apt from linux. I'm signed into my account yet locally I'm not getting data to sync across devices. Any idea?

Firefox is installed on my desktop and on my cell. How can I get my cell to show all bookmarks that I have on my desktop? I already synced a few times but no change!

I would like to know how to get an "app password" for Firefox so that I can sync Outlook with Firefox. I received an error msg that said I needed to get an app password from Firefox in order to sign in to Outlook to complete the sync process. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got Firefox on three devices and I'm looking to get a little more fine grained control between the synced data.

Ideally I want to sync passwords between all three but only sync bookmarks between two of them. This doesn't seem to be possible with the current options. Is there an alternative short of manually exporting and importing on the devices I want to keep in step?
