I have followed various instructions I found (such as stopping all add-ons etc, starting firefox in safe mode etc etc), but still no joy.

When I click on a link in an email (outlook although not relevant I dont think), Firefox opens a new instance, starts in first tab with my default home page and then .... nothing. If I copy the selected hyperlink and put it in the search bar it works fine. More importantly, if I change *all* my defaults to say Chrome and try, it works fine.

Any suggestions on what I am missing from the various solutions? (Been happening for ages - maybe a year or more I think).

Hi there! It started yesterday. I keep getting warning messages from Bitdefender that a connection Firefox was trying to establish was blocked. I will include a screenshot of the warning. I searched the link included in the warning and it comes up as a Firefox related link. I had six or seven of these warnings within the last 3 hours of using the computer and am concerned and irritated. Firefox is updated automatically on this computer and I think the last major change would have been the "cookie jar" thing(?). Obviously, the warning only says that the a certificate has expired. I have noticed that many a times (even with the latest update installed) randomly etrade website does not load. Not sure why? I have deleted the history etc and still...

On the bottom left I see "Read c.evidon.com" the hourglass in the tab.

I kinda need your help. I just switched from Windows to Manjaro Linux and I cannot retrieve my Firefox bookmarks and passwords. I do not have access to the old setup because I have formatted the disk and I have only this one on Linux.

I have used my Firefox account multiple times in order to login on a new device and every time it has retrieved my bookmarks and passwords but not this time. Before logging in from this device I had to reset my Firefox password because I had forgot it -- is this a security measure maybe?

Are my bookmarks and passwords gone forever? Thanks!

I've been seeing this more and more, but my toolbar will change by itself every restart. The add tab button will shift all the way to the left or not appear, the bookmarks won't appear, etc. I'm not sure what can be causing this, and I saw no way to "save" my current configuration other than pressing the done button upon using the custom toolbar, which I had done every time prior to fix my configuration. Does anybody know why this is occurring, and a possible fix? Thank you

On 2015 MBP Mac OS El Capitan 11.6 new Firefox 78.15.0 esr won't sync with my older MBP running El Capitan 11.6 but it will sync to the 2015. How do I get the 2015 replacement computer to sync?

For months I've been living with an ongoing problem; when I watch some YouTube videos, the entire window will go black while the audio continues. I searched for solutions, which usually suggested the I turn off ad-blocking (which I don't recall turning on) and I was offered instructions to go to "OPTIONS" which doesn't exist on my version of FireFox, and no HELP articles offered a better solution. It seems that lots of people have this problem but MOZILLA ignores it or CANNOT fix it.

But I found a FIX. I no longer have this problem with YouTube. YouTube is a GOOGLE product, so I installed the CHROME browser. I think my FireFox related YouTube problems are now a thing of the past.

I would URGE MOZILLA to recognize the RUMBLE.com app and develope RUMBLE optimization tools similar to those that Mozilla developed for YouTube. RUMBLE is the free-speed answer to YouTube and is NOT owned by GOOGLE. It would be a no-brainer for MOZILLA to strongly support RUMBLE, but they act as though they've never heard of it. WAKE UP, HIPPIES!

My webmail is earthlink.net. Lately it has been unbearably slow. I complained online last week, and suddenly the problem was cleared up. It is way too slow again. (Moving around the internet is fast as always.) What do I do?

When I open Firefox browser it automatically opens 3 tabs at web sites I have chosen . Now I want Firefox browser to automatically open a 4 th website. It was easy to do this several years ago by clicking on the opened website and moving the address to the home button. But this doesn't seem to work now. Has the process changed or have I just forgotten how to do it?

On 10/5/2024 I suddenly had no access to my saved passwords for websites, all my bookmarks were gone and no autofill works anymore. I have searched and searched for anything relating to these missing saves in password manager, I've used EaseUS, I've tried system restore. It's like my my saves were completely wiped! When I did a system restore, Firefox uninstalled itself completely when it shouldn't have. Now it's like I never had Firefox on this pc and there's no history or anything dated before today 10/6/2024. I've tried import from other browsers and there's nothing there. I'm a bit upset here, is my history, saved passwords, bookmarks and, autofill just gone and irretrievable?

My profile seems to be corrupted. Starting Firefox with that profile completely crashes the computer, but when I reinstalled Firefox and it started with another profile it was fine. Switching back to my profile immediately crashed the computer. Is there a way to extract the history/bookmarks/passwords/etc. from my profile folder without starting Firefox? Thanks in advance!

1st Issue: The 'Clear Cache' doesn't seem to completely clear the cache. Eg: I'm logged into gmail, I go to Privacy & Security and then click Clear Cache and History. I navigate back to gmail. I'm still logged in.

2nd Issue: When I right click and 'Open Link in New Private Window' this doesn't actually take me to a private window. I have to select File/New Private Window and paste the link to that window.

Suddenly this morning, a new toolbar appeared on my copy of Firefox (131.0) showing one item, Getting Started, which I have no use for. I managed to delete it and it was replaced with something telling me to place my bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar, which I also don't want. How do I get rid of it as it's nothing else for me but a waste of screen real estate?

I accidentally clicked on "never remember passwords" and now Firefox doesn't ask me if I want it to remember a password. How do I reverse that so that Firefox does ask me if I want to remember the password?

when I watch 360 videos on youtube, the video glitches. Like it stutters, as if its going back and forth in frames constantly. Before, it did not use to do that. I could watch the 360 videos just fine. I even tried refreshing and reinstalling firefox. It did not work. Please help.
