Hello , What happens to my current bookmarks & folders I already have saved on my home computer if I sync my Firefox work account to my home Firefox browser as I don't want to lose any of my home computer bookmarks and folders?
Wondering if it will override everything removing what I have already bookmarked or if it will just add my work bookmarks to my home account where I will see both?
Also will everything I have bookmarked on my home account be added after the sync to my work account? Which bookmarks will supersede? Will my home bookmarks get added to my work account?
This is really important as there are some home bookmarks I don't want to lose and that I also don't want synced to my work account? Thanks in advance and I don't see any details anywhere on this but it is really important for someone to know before syncing a work and home account.
Please do not bother telling me about updating my account as the new Firefox does not work for my work flow at all and this should not be related to sync question at all as syncing has been there since that version was created. I hate the square tabs as I have to move my window around often and not having the big tabs pinned in 5 rows of 5 where they are 2" by 2" squares are absolutely necessary as I hate the new tab pinning option where the pins are super small and you get all the other stuff below that now that is not needed and lose rows of pins. I could go on but until they have options I will be staying on my current version which would not affect the sync outcomes.

I've recently noticed lots of error-sync logs in the %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<My Profile>\weave\logs folder. My sync is set up to handle Bookmarks and History only.
I have 4 devices, 2 PCs - both Firefox 56.0.2 32-bit and 2 Android devices (latest Firefox, not sure of version). All 4 were previously set to sync together, Bookmarks/History.
One of the PCs (Windows 7 x64) - has the logs, but I've read numerous articles online on how to fix Sync myself or correct a corrupted places.sqlite database as that's what the error log seems to be suggesting is wrong.
Running check integrity against places.sqlite gives me this:

I have tried to repeat the process in safe mode and with a clear (new) profile - the issue persists. I have deleted places.sqlite (after making a backup) to see if sync suddenly starts working - but the bookmark related issue simply returns.
I have signed out on all devices, changed my sync password and logged in on just the PCs (for now until the problem is resolved). I have deleted all bookmarks on the 'problem' PC, then re-imported them from Internet Explorer on the other PC, then reactivated sync - this seems to initially work but once the 'problem' PC has the bookmarks, it tries to sync them and the errors return.
The error in question appears to be this:

I can supply the entire file if required or put it on pastebin.
The only real issue I'm having is that I simply want my history/bookmarks (but nothing else) shared between all my devices that use Firefox, be it quantum or 56.0.2.
I have not tried Firefox Quantum (as numerous add-ons I use are unsupported and I didn't want to simply switch without a road back). I did try Firefox 52.0.8 ESR but the first thing it did was delete my places.sqlite so I wasn't able to reproduce the problem I'm having as I don't want to lose my history data (bookmarks are stored primarily in IE for convenience and simply imported when I need them as I use 'PlainOldFavorites' extension).
This looks like a bug with firefox sync or a corrupt file, but since I've cleared places.sqlite and let FF recreate it, I'm at a loss. If you need any further information to help solve this, I'm happy to provide as much as possible.

This parameter is for Browser.Startup.homepage. This one is right applicate on the browser because when i look in the about:config this parameter is in "by default" statu with de right URL i setted , but when i start the brower , this URL is not loaded on de default page.
if i change the paremeter from "defaultPref" to "pref" or " lockPref" in the .cfg this work, but the end user doesn't may change the value and we need to let the choise at the end users to change if they want.

The Whole Process - - -
You log in to KTA KTA then gives a list of documents that you can see the data for along with the image. The processors have 2 screens one for the data for the document and another for the image. When you click on the document the browser opens the page with the document info and opens a popup with the image in it. This works in IE but for numerous reasons I would like the users to use Firefox.
Any help at all would be absolutely amazing as all of you are my last hope. The Vendor is not being much help Either!
Addition to original question------------------------ I can not give a link to the site as it is an internal site. I have gone through every pop up setting that I could find in about:config as well as made sure that the popup blocker is turned off. If the popup blocker is on it does not pop out the image of the document at all. But with it off it pops out the document it just automatically minimizes that document and the only way to view the pop up is to right click and then click on maximize and drag the pop up to the next screen. I realize this only takes around a second but we have around 100 people processing documents and every second counts.

After an unwanted update to Firefox 61 or 62 it took me 5 days to get rid of it. I lost bookmarks, tabs on bottom. I tried Firefox 57 and could not get gold favicons for bookmarks and no add-on for tabs on bottom. I now have Firefox 56 with tabs on bottom plus gold favicons for bookmark folders. The add-on "Classic Theme Restorer"works but has a yellow background word "Legend" that sounds onerous. I do not ever wish to experience the several days I spent trying to get the latest update configured and if Firefox 56 gets unsupported t I simply go elsewhere. |||Firefox 56 is covered riskwise with Kaspersky " Safe Browser" option .

these days I noticed that firefox is using way too much RAM after 2-3 hours.
I enabled multiprocess and now I can see on the task manager that the process that handles the 20 tabs uses ~700mb and the other 1400mb!!! Firefox is lagging and I have to restart it.
And here is another problem. When I exit FF, it won't terminate, after 1-2 minutes the crash report pops up and informs me about the crashed FF.

I have been using Firefox for over a decade, just this past month Comments won't load on the website for the New Civil Rights Movement. When I click the "see Comments" link NOTHING HAPPENS. I've tried using Firefox in "Safe Mode", but it made no difference. My Flash software is up to date. I don't have this problem in either Chrome or Internet Explorer, and only on that one website.
Please don't tell me to clear my cookies or History. I tried that and it didn't work either.

I (and most of my coworkers) use a Windows 7 laptop. Any version of Firefox after 56.0.2 simply will not open. We must either use 56.0.2 (which is a security risk, per the Mozilla website) or we have to switch to Chrome or IE. For many years, I have used Firefox (and use the latest version on my home computers), so all my bookmarks and processes are based on this browser. Every posted solution either requires me to make changes to the latest update (which won't open, so I can't change it) or it goes to a technical level that I can't handle. I've seen many posts about this problem (or similar), but apparently, it's not something that mozilla can fix, since I've loaded each new version as they come out, with the same result and have to reinstall the 56.0.2 version. Rather than losing a growing group of customers, if someone has a fix for this, let me know and more importantly, let mozilla know, so they can update the next version and bring us back!

I used to save images to certain folders. For example, all Artist of a particular site would save to their own folders. For some random reason this changed and now I have to hunt around for the folders every time I save an image. This is so frustrating. I tried changing the about:config string but it doesn't work. When Firefox was first launched it was innovated, flexible, and highly customizable but recently its just buggy with issues that never get resolved. I have two questions which I am sure will never get addressed correctly... 1. Is there a fix for this issue? [A real fix, not just an inconvenient patch or instructions that won't work.] 2. Is Firefox going to get better or has it just one among many browsers that are mediocre?

I have been always using Mozbackup to backup and restore during formats, but couldn't make it work this time so I thought to let Sync handle it.
Actually this time I moved from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on a different pc, and right before the move, while I was collecting important files etc., I decided to also change my Sync account pw, to bring it in a format I would be sure I would remember afterwards. This was last Saturday, and now I just had time to install Windows and set up the new pc, and Sync won't let me log in no matter what I try!
I am going crazy, all my bookmarks and logons were in that sync, I really want it back! I have been trying every possibility, even possible mistypings, or letters that I might forgot to press Shift, etc., but nothing, it seems impossible to log in. Now I am locked out for the next 15 minutes.
And if I change the password, Firefox tells me that some data from my sync will be lost. Well, if the bookmarks don't, that will be enough I guess....

And why can't Mozilla provide the option of maintaining older versions of Bookmarks and the Toolbar?
Seems like you've destroyed a wonderful product to cater to the game-playing millennials and sacrifice those of use you do real work!!

I have an older browser, which I DO NOT want to update, as it's the last one that works with all my add-ons and bookmarks. But, even though I went in and checked the boxes to allow Studies, I am getting no information at all when I go to the about: studies page. I only see a box with, "What's this? Firefox may install and run studies from time to time. Learn more".
This has been going on for hours. No fix is showing up, much less installing, and my browser is utterly borked. Can I get the studies manually somewhere? Help would be appreciated.
