when i am in my browser how can i tell which email account this is for. i have two profiles each with a different email account, i want to able to see which one my current browser is tied to.

With the new update came profiles, which is pretty useless for me. However, it bugs me that the firefox icon on the taskbar now has the profiles' star on it. Is there a way to remove this?

When I try to login with my Firefox account to configure Sync, I get a message that says that I am logged on to a different profile and asks if I want to switch. If I switch, I get the same result with the other profile. There is only one profile folder in the Profiles directory, there are no other files or folders. What should I do?

When I click on a link in outlook recently, I have been getting an seperate firefox pop up but it has none of my passwords. How do i set up to have all the info as the regular firefox browser I use.

I received a popup tab about creating separate profiles. I am still not seeing an option to create another profile, in my case keep personal and work browsing separate on my work computer. The articles I have read do not seem to fit my situation. Firefox is up to date. Thank you for your help.

After the recent update that added profiles to Firefox I have gotten them working on my personal computer but not on my work pc.

The option for creating profiles showed up once when launching the browser but I had to dismiss it at the time. Now I can't find the option to create profiles any more, I have followed the guides that mozilla have put out but the option physically is not there.

I have also tried reinstalling Firefox but that also did not work.

In "manage profiles" I see where to delete the extra profile that was created and I don't want. Thanks to Cetaseus1. my question is does deleting a profile delete all the bookmarks? there is an info box that warns that bookmarks will be deleted including my 30,000+ bookmarks that were rolled over to this unwanted profile that just appeared. My intent is to have one remaining profile and all my bookmarks. I am hesitant to delete a profile and loose all those bookmarks. I won't delete until Mozilla assures me that I won't lose the bookmarks in the other profile. Thanks.

No matter what I've tried, I cannot figure out a way to edit or delete the profile from the new profile manager. Both about:editprofile and about:deleteprofile show up as a blank page (with how it looks on my normal profile for comparison). I have tried deleting the folder multiple times, but the icon still shows up in the manager and clicking it just creates a new profile with the default settings. It also does not appear when using firefox.exe -p. I had previously been using the about:profiles to manage my profiles and wanted to see if I liked the new version (I didn't), hence why I was using it in the first place.) I'm currently using Firefox version 149.0 and Windows 11 on the latest version. I have found no solution that gets rid of it. I would also be fine getting rid of the profile manager UI so it stops bothering me.

I want to keep the original profile but the process is confusing to me. Can you tell me a simple way to keep the original profile or else set the original for me.

I followed the directions to CREATE A NEW FIREFOX PROFILE.... ,, created as Personal #1 & Personal #2 perhaps I did something wrong......Help!!!!

I really don't need a profile in Firefox and if I delete the profiles listed, you will wipe out all my bookmarks/settings. Why do I need to see a yellow triangle on the Firefox app icon?

I've been using the profile manager, and wanted to delete a profile that i have made. However, when i select the option to delete it, it only opens up a new tab in the profile called "about:deleteprofile', which displays an empty page and does nothing. Then, I would try to delete the profile manually, in the profiles folder, but if I opened firefox or restarted my computer, it would just come back. I have attatched the relevant images below.

Could someone help me start over again and get it right, instead of a mess? Is it possible to somehow start from scratch or fix what I am doing wrong? Is there some way to open a new account and dump the mess I'm facing now?

I have previously made additional profiles on 'about:profiles', now Firefox has added an integrated profile manager accessible by clicking my profile on the top right. My old profiles are not available on this profile manager, but they are still available on 'about:profiles', so how can I transfer them without having to remake new ones?

im loged in to firefox and i want to change from 1 of my profiles to another one of my 3 profile but it wont let me choose on of the other profile it show them to me but cant pick one ?i have work to do and i cant get anythiing done because of this ?

Help! I updated my account to a new email months ago. I have been trying to set up a new different profile. Copying a profile or trying to add a profile adds the newly made profile to my old email address instead of my new email address. In the new profiles created, I am unable to login to my new email and password.

I am not a native English speaker, so I used translation. Please excuse any awkward phrasing. I previously updated my Firefox to version 150, but my tabs kept crashing roughly every 5 minutes. To solve this, I tried installing the Firefox ESR version. However, my profile had already been upgraded to the new version format, so ESR could not read my data. I then reinstalled version 150, but now I'm having profile issues again. I can access and launch my old profile through about:profiles, but I can't seem to save it directly as the default profile. I don't want to have to repeat this process every time I restart the browser. Is there a way to transfer all my data (bookmarks, saved passwords, add-ons, settings, etc.) to a new profile that works with the current version? Or, can I downgrade my profile so that ESR can read it? I have tried copying the files from %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, but it didn't work after many attempts. Please help me. I really don't want to set everything up from scratch again. Thank you!
