I've updated a website. When I paste the url into Firefox it keeps changing it and displaying a different page.

The one I want is http://megalithmovers.org/blog-2015-10-24.htm Firefox keeps changing it to http://megalithmovers.org/blog-2015-01-24.htm Both pages are valid (they have the date in the url as YYYY-MM-DD) I know the url is valid, I've pasted it into other browsers. Somewhere FF must have cached the January page. Being too clever for it's good, it's decided I've mis-typed the url and displayed that page, not the October one. I've deleted all the history for this site, but that makes no difference.

Please don't tell me to reset FF to the default settings - I'll have re-install all the Addons then.

I've tried both version 40 and 42. Every time I try to load a webpage, Firefox quits responding part way through. I've gone through add-ons. I went through all the help articles and nothing worked. The problem started after installing Windows 10 and often happens on Politico and Fox News. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. After the uninstall I scanned the registry with ccleaner

How do I make Firefox quit reloading web pages multiple times (while I'm reading a page), so the back button will go back to previous page

The back button has not been working properly for maybe a month. I've finally addressed the problem but have no solution. Updated to Firefox 43.0, disabled all my add-ons plus reverted to default header, then also ran the refresh which deleted my add-ons. This problem happens on multiple web sites. I'll click on Rawstory.com (as an example), then click on an article and start reading it. While the page doesn't appear to reload as I read, I have noticed that the little Rawstory icon in the tab winks (as if reloading the page). This happens over and over again. Now I know to pull down the window under the back arrow to see what happened. The last page that I read ended up showing up 9 times under the back arrow, even though all I'd done was click on it once and read the article. I've wondered if my clicking on the scroll bar to read down the article is somehow causing this problem (ditto for using my fingers on the track pad). Thanks for your help.

As of today, 3/24/18, I keep getting web attacks with FIrefox on all websites visited, attacks which are being blocked by my firewall, Symantec's "Norton Security":

Intrusion type: "JSCoinminer Download 8", as per Symantec's description Attacker URL: thrillingos.herokuapp.com/mozilla/best-ytb-down/content/analytics

Happens through: "C:\ Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe", although I use a 64-bit version of Firefox on Windows 7 (SP1), 64-bit.

Since it has "Mozilla" in the URL, does Mozilla know anything about this?

Happens on ALL websites, including, but not limited to, www.nytimes.com , www.washingtonpost.com. , support/mozilla.org/

Another post suggested a Firefox add-on causing the problem, but all add-ons listed in Firefox are ones I have been using for a least a year, and originally came from the selection offered by Mozilla. Does Mozilla know if any of these have been compromised: AdBlocker Ultimate, Ghostery, HTTPS Everywhere, Video DownloadHelper, YouTube Best Video Downloader 2
