I really need a new IP address. My whole info I believe has been compromised. I have so much going on with my e-mail address that I can't change it because of job applications, gov. contacts, family contacts, my whole life was put in this IP and e-mail through yahoo that I will literally be dead in the water without help. They hacks are so crafty they have been calling my cell phone to get a voice recognition recorded. I get calls from a place asking if I'm some African guy. THIS IS TERRORISM! I'm being attacked. Some one is trying to say they are me, I try and not take it personal but I AM. They are mocking my character and my ability to be crafty. They picked the wrong guy. "What if" I had members in my family that worked for the Government and needed my safety to be SAFE for theirs? Please Mozilla get down to the bottom of this for me. Tell me I have an over active Imagination, so I can laugh at myself. If not tell me other wise, I WILL cooperate to catch this thief. Let us lay a trap. They are blocked from this screen, I have a green lock on it in the corner. That is, if my suspicions are right. Thank You.

                                      Sincerely, A concerned customer.

In the new sync feature I can select passwords to be synced but then I need to disable my master password.

How exactly are my passwords stored and encrypted when I sync them? I want to be in control of the encryption key that encrypts my passwords. I don't feel that the security solution for storing my passwords in the sync solution has been adequately explained to me.

I'm considering getting lastpass instead.

With the terrible issues recently with Flash 12, I opted to use the extended support version of Flash 11.7r700.

Why am I getting a popup for a website that my browser cannot even find?! I have tried EVERYTHING I know to do. I've cleaned out my cookies, installed malware, and I've been on this site several times, trying whatever I think will help. NOTHING has. I do know, however, it only happens on Firefox. It does NOT happen on Explorer or Chrome. If I cannot resolve this, I suppose my only option is to use one of those instead.

Seems that the "signon.useDOMFormHasPassword" workaround (latest working version is FF 29.0.1) to automatically populate username/password fields protected by "autocomplete=off" no longer works with FF 30. Now with FF 30 I always have to double click each of those "protected" username input field to select the only one entry to automatically populate the corresponding password input field. This is pretty annoying as there is only ONE username to select (which should be auto filled). Why did you disable the above workaround? Is there an other way to re-enable username/password autofill for autocomplete=off protected input fields?

I already tried the following parameters, but nothing changed:

signon.autofillForms;true signon.overrideAutocomplete;true

I have BRAND NEW OEM install from Lenovo: W7, updated. Lenovo Think Center M93p: standard customizations.

Very paranoid re connecting to web for updares downloads, no warez or cracks, behind a router, NIS in place , all installs scanned prior to running. Only Firefox 29 via stub with usual extensions ( NOScript as one of the first) and Office 365. Flash plugin installed. Other standard plugins.. No freeware added as yet

Even with IE as default, clicking the link opens FF 3 windows. !! Wot ? Flushed cache and cookies.. Scanned with all known scanners: cookies etc, nil else

Uninstalled Firefox. Ran the office > my account link: no extra windows  :(

What is this ?? .... PLEASE MOZILLA SORT THIS OUT. going ahead without FF would be a pain.

I am struggling to import User certificates generated by our Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Authority (running 2012 R2) into Firefox. I have exported from IE, used openssl pkcs12 commands to break the certificate apart into specific ca certs, client certs and private key to verify content. Created a new .pfx file from those individual parts. Nothing I can do gets me past failed to import because of unspecified error from Firefox. I have tried manually using pk12util command as well, using the -i option it fails saying unable to import the private key, however pk12util -l shows that the private key is part of the pkcs12 certificate file. I have come to the conclusion that the private keys being generated are incompatible with Firefox, but I haven't been able to find any information on what keys are compatible or incompatible, so I can see if adjustments on the certificate Authority will prevent this in the future. We will soon be implementing some web applications that will require client certificates. And I don't want to enforce the need for users to use IE instead of Firefox due to the inability to import the Certificate.

pk12util -l ... output: Certificate(has private key):

   Data:
       Version: 3 (0x2)
       Serial Number:
           ...
Signature Algorithm: PKCS #1 SHA-1 With RSA Encryption
       Issuer: ...
       Validity:
           Not Before: Thu Sep 18 20:59:04 2014

... Key(shrouded):

   Friendly Name: ...
   Encryption algorithm: PKCS #12 V2 PBE With SHA-1 And 3KEY Triple DES-CBC
       Parameters:
           Salt:
               ....

pk12util -i ... output: pk12util: PKCS12 decode import bags failed: SEC_ERROR_PKCS12_UNABLE_TO_IMPORT_KEY: Unable to import. Error attempting to import private key.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi guys, Well, I think I bring here a very interesting thing for the Mozilla team. I found I have some sort of exploit which takes screen captures whenever I click on any web page. It is specially active whenever you are entering sensitive information like when I log-in onto site accounts, o whenever I check something on the bank. I checked processes using process explorer, and everything points at Mozilla being very active and nothing else. I check the creation of those screen captures and they are always, there. I normally kill every process which is not necessary, and the ones left are just essential. I ran several bootable antivirues like Eset, Kaspersky and Bitdefender and they don't detect anything weird. I removed from a bootable CD all temp files this "thing" creates while making files and take snap of my screen. I goes back on when you are back on Windows. I know that something was going on when on the bank site I had a AVG-antivirus alert saying that an exploit was active and gave me the option to remove it. Other than that, you don't feel a thing. As said, it goes back the alert everytime you visit the bank and some other log-ins, specially while banking. I also disable all Firefox add-ons, as well as the Java on my computer -I believe there's some connection with Java here-. I have the suspicion that it is pdf/exploit coz I saw a glimpse of that name while uninstalling something which I thing was Facemoods. Not too sure how it got there. So there, guys!! I don't know where this "thing" resides, really does -it could be doing more things-, or how to get rid of it. PS: I saw a while ago that I have to mozilla folder hanging from "program files". One is mozilla.bak. I'm digging into this now. Any shed on this, you pros!! I'm not a pro myself, yet I love IT :-) Thanks a bunch in advance to anyone taking the time to solve the one big problem Firefox has and is going to have in the short run. BR F

I work at a public library. And we have Firefox installed on all of our public computers. One of those computers is not forgetting a particular patron's login information for Yahoo Mail.

We've set our public computers for Firefox to clear out Cookies, Cache, Active Logins, Forms & Search History, Browsing & Download History, Saved Passwords AND Site Preferences when it closes. We use custom privacy settings, telling Firefox NOT to remember Browsing & Download history, as well as Form & Search History.

We've tried clearing ALL History, we've cleared all saved passwords. Nothing helps. Every time anyone goes to login for Yahoo on that computer, the other patron's login information is right there (the password is shown as dots, of course, but it's still there).

Anyone have any ideas on how to clear that information? Any help would be much appreciated.

ALSO, i am using CUSTOM SETTINGS for privacy and i have checked off CLEAR HISTORY WHEN FIREFOX CLOSES, then under settings i check off CACHE and BROWSING AND DOWNLOAD HISTORY to be cleared, BUT after i close firefox and return, my history is not cleared. The only way i can delete history is to manually enter it and delete it. IDEAS???

On my corporate intranet, there are a couple of internal systems with web interfaces that generate the sec_error_reused_issuer_and_serial error. Every resource on mozilla.org and other sites that I have found lists only two options: 1. get the admin of the site to fix the problem, or 2. temporarily add an exception

Even the Mozilla support article specifically about this error message is not helpful: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Certificate%20contains%20the%20same%20serial%20number%20as%20another%20certificate

I have asked the exact same question here and the question was closed without an answer as well: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/996094

Nowhere have I been able to find information regarding a permanent exception. I understand that ideally, for a public website, the long term fix will be for the website admin to fix the problem, however there must be a way to permanently add an exception in Firefox to completely ignore this error message. I already tried deleting the "cert8.db" file and this has not resolved the problem. I am not interested in any temporary exceptions or temporary resolutions; I am specifically asking how to permanently ignore this error message.

Thanks.

I was working in my online class tonight and decided to take a break. I logged out for 10 minutes and when I tried to log back in I keep getting a message that Firefox has "blocked" the site for security reasons. I have used Firefox to access my online classes for the past seven years and now all of a sudden the school's website is a "security risk"! If this problem is not resolved quickly, I have no alternative but to remove Firefox and use another browser.
