When trying to link to an email address, Firefox begins to open tabs quickly and I have to close down Firefox for it to stop opening the tabs. I also happens when clicking on a link for some websites.

Over time, due to me hitting wrong keys, my gmail login has accumulated several mistyped usernames. Every time I access gmail, they all pop up. I'd like to start clean, but I can't get rid of them. I've followed your instructions for clearing my cache and history, but to no avail. I've followed instructions to click inside the username window and then use the arrow and delete keys--also no success. I'm on a Mac, OSX 10.4.11. Thank you!

When I downloaded the new version, the firefox icon did not appear. Instead another icon popped up and I was able to put it in applications but it would not go to the dock

Is there a plug-in yet for Firefox that will allow pdf forms to be opened in the browser (instead of downloaded), and then submitted to an e-mail address using the submit button on the form? I finally installed the plug-in that allows a pdf to open in Firefox and not downloaded, but the Submit button doesn't work.

Can't close second copy FF app. Can't find why this is true; only have one FF.app; have kept only one profile. There must be some sort of superForceQUIT, BUT FQ ISN'T WORKING I have worked at MacOS level looking for Firefox usage but it isn't there

My 12 year old daughter would like to remove a few websites from our navigation tool bar and we can't figure out how to delete. All the questions answered on this site so far require a PHD in IT. Can someone please provide us a step by step version on how to remove a few simple sites? Thanks!

Firefox gets stuck in a loop opening blank tabs when mail link to "NewInventors@intven.com" is clicked, on url http://www.intellectualventures.com/Inventors.aspx

I'm on MAC OS X 4.10.11, and the link goes through MAC Mail, which I never use. I use Firefox. So I looked up how to link Mac OS X mail to Firefox (using WMAP) and set it according to directions.

This problem occurs whether I look the url up on Firefox or quit Firefox and open the url on Safari, and click the link there: either actions start Firefox, and it loops opening new blank tabs. I've tried unplugging my hardwired link from MAC to cable modem, but by then the damage is done.

Quitting and NOT restarting firefox does not clear the problem, until Firefox has done this opening of huge numbers of blank tabs twice - the second time with the modem connection unplugged.

Sounds like either a Firefox bug, an incompatibility with OS X mail (between site and OS X), or incorrect MAC OS X Mail WMAP setup. I don't know how to isolate it any better than that, sorry.

The MAC Mail to Gmail Link via WMAP appears to work normally, in just viewing, reading, and deleting items in my GMAIL incoming mail box.

Sending a test message from myself in OS X mail to Gmail Firefox works fine.

Using Firefox 3.6.3 for OS X, I have recently become unable to view streaming media at the website www.memritv.org. I receive an error message that says "TypeError: _cuPlayer is null." How can I circumvent this problem?

When I sort bookmarks in "Organize Bookmarks" they are not sorted under the pulldown menu on a regular page. Recently added bookmarks are not inegrated into to sorting.

upgraded to 3.6, lost bookmarks, lost bookmarks toolbar, lost bookmarks library, can't go to previous backup, get error message. Don't have Torbutton. Can't save new bookmarks. Autofill remembers. Remember history is on.

I used to type a few letters in the location bar and history and suggestions would appear. Now I have to type in every web address I want to go to -- I don't know why the predictive typing and suggestions suddenly stopped working -- I haven't changed any settings. I've checked on Preferences/Privacy and it is set to Remember History and to suggest History and Bookmarks. I saw a similar question on here that suggested looking at the AVG add-on, but I don't have that. The predictive typing was very helpful -- I wish it hadn't disappeared!!! Can you please help?

Upgrading Firefox, i mistakenly moved my old profile to my desktop to save it in case something went wrong. When trying to put it back where i stole it from, i forgot which file it came from and went to where i thought it came from and found a new profile existed there. Error message says two browsers can not be open at the same time. Can't turn off the FFX browser because it won't display as open. i have trashed everything labled Firefox using apple command find and then attempted to install a new downloaded copy. Still gets same message as if the newly downloaded copy is already running.

history not registrated anymore, no new entries in date, days like "today, yesterday etc " don't appear anymore,just only "history"

in toolbar last 10entries are registrated, however not in day/week overview.
also upgrade and cache-removal, history removal,cookies removal  etc don't fix it.

newest version of firefox, g5mac, 4.11os. befora a few days no problems at all. ? may be opening account on facebook or other site has caused it , but that's unclear. how to repair this function without deleting and reinstalling firefox andlosing all settings. is there a prefs thing i can throw away or so ? thanks a lot beforehand for the effort of advicing
