firefox failed to sync some add-ons
So I have firefox on 2 computers. On one of the computers, there are 6 add-ons. But on the other computer, there are only 5. So 1 add-on didn't sync to the other compu… (閱讀更多)
So I have firefox on 2 computers. On one of the computers, there are 6 add-ons. But on the other computer, there are only 5. So 1 add-on didn't sync to the other computer. BTW, the add-on is "proxy swichyomega".
and by the way I've experiencing add-on sync problem for a very long time and for various add-ons, which is very annoying and very disappointing. I switched to Chrome in the last few months, now I'm giving firefox another try and I'm experiencing this.
and furthermore, the process for creating this post really sucks. why do I need to create an account? why not just use the sync account? why so many steps with each step displaying over-sized text?

When I last closed it, there were about five windows opened with many tabs I planed to return to. I am using a Mac. Firefox is not sync'd. I've spent a month slowly switching from Safari to Firefox. Created a lot of new and original bookmarks and logins. The loss is a real setback. It opens in a new profile it created. "Old Firefox" is not on my computer. I've read somewhat similar problems. The solutions seem very complex and do not seem to apply. Any way I can restore my work?

Updated to latest FF. Now session restore no longer works. I have checked, the sessionstore-backups folder for changes. When launching FF the folder is created and recovery.jasonlz4 is created. As tabs are added a recovery.baklz4 is created. When FF is closed, the sessionstore-backups folder disappears and is gone. When FF starts again, the above repeats. So as such when it starts it sees no session restore so it just continues to the default homepage.
How do I get session restore to work properly again?

I have many, many bookmark - all the the toolbar folder. Most of them sync, but a few folders won't for some reason. "Sync now" seems to have no effect.
I used to use Xmarks, and Xmarks had a lot more control over syncing. You could force upload (overwrite server) and force download (overwrite local), for one thing - that could often be used to fix sync issues. You could also view your server bookmark list online (via web).
How can I troubleshoot this? Or how can I force a sync?

Should have send everyone email warning of this. New account creation page should have option to enter existing UserName & be sent an email, so you know what email was being used. Over the years there have been many. Also different emails for "Get Satisfaction" (Is that defunct?) & for sending questions to Developers and AddOn authors...
I used the address that I found searching old email for announcements sent by Firefox/Mozilla, so it SHOULD be the one I used "here."

MacBook Pro appears to download Firefox from Safari, but it never opens and the download file never makes it to downloads folder so I can start it, or anywhere else on the laptop's HD. On the 10th try a prompt required I load Firefox on second device (for backup), which I did and is now running on my iphone perfectly, but Firefox just won't open on the MaxBook.

If I hold down the left click it keeps the menu open and I can then choose my option, the dropdown closes but hasn't selected my choice of option. My grandmother installed an update to Adobe Flash, however there were "extras" that got downloaded along with the Flash update. Since then, she has lost her bookmarks and history and any new bookmarks/history is not recorded. At first, she received an error message that her bookmarks and history were being used by another program and could not be accessed, so I removed all those extra programs that came with the Flash update and her bookmarks/history returned. Then she received a message along the lines of "The Bookmarks and history system will not be functional" which cleared up after a reboot. Now nothing seems to work. I tried restoring them from a backup but it said it was unable to restore. As a last ditch effort we do have an Old Firefox Data, but it's from 2014 so I'd like to try getting her more recent stuff back before resorting to the old data.

Ever since Firefox updated, scripts I use to make my life easier don't work anymore. For example, I have a local HTML page in which I can enter the name of a movie, click a JavaScript button, and tabs that search Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other services open up.
I have searches of this sort for other types of media, across search engines with specific criteria set. They save me a ton of time, but they all rely on my browser being able to open up a separate tab for each site being searched.
Is this gone forever in Firefox, or how can I re-enable this in the latest version of the browser? Thanks!
