I have firefox on both of my linux Ubuntu22.04 machines. As of yesterday, that little rounded arrow in the toolbar disappeared. I still have the forward and backward arrows and the home icon, but the refresh button is gone. It is still there on my other computer. Both have version 120.0.1 on them. Makes no sense to me.

I'm using Manjaro Linux and I place Firefox in a particular position on the screen. In the previous version, just before 122.0, Firefox would "remember" the last position on the screen. Now when it starts up, the window is in the middle of the screen and not to the top left as when it was shut down. Anyone else notice this?

I have some new issues after a recent update.

The tab bar fades when the window isn't focused. I certainly didn't have it set to do that before, and I have had no luck finding the setting for it. Tell me what the setting is?

Another I'd like to know the setting for, is the behavior of the address bar. It used to always be white, and now it's gray unless I'd entering something in it. I'd like to switch the setting back to the other way.

I've tried hunting for the settings for these things, but it has not been intuitive for me, and I guess I keep overlooking the pertinent settings somehow. Please tell me what parts of the settings page, or what about:config entries, will get things put back as I had them?

Am running on linux with KDE. When I press the software shutdown button in KDE, and reboot, the tabs in firefox remain, even though I disabled that from happening in settings.

Why is mousewheel.with_control.action = 5 not the default in 2024 ? or at least an accessibility features ? I have multiple over the years had to help my older parents with `broken` website due to the actual default increasing the font size instead of behaving as a pinch and zoom

Wishing to view my own html file in my Ubuntu Linux system I pressed the Alt key which I thought would give me a "File" menu. I could not see one. How do I get it?

The fcitx input method works everywhere on my computer except Firefox. I've added the following to my etc/environment file, which is the main suggestion I found online: GTK_IM_MODULE=fcitx QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx XMODIFIERS=@im=fcitx But it still doesn't work. My operating system is KDE neon 5.27.

I am using Tor nowadays because I get a trojan horse or other possible threats, every time using Firefox. I use ClamTk on my HP computer with Linux Mint 21.1 installed.

These are the 3 files that usually turn up after a full scan with ClamTk:

I found out when my website turned out to be hacked, so I installed the ClamTk virus scanner.

Im trying to halt fingerprint tracking, whoever designed Firefox's privacy.resistFingerprinting rule makes fingerprinting even more prevalent.

With privacy.resistFingerprinting set to FALSE, my resolution is reported : 1920x1080x24, set to TRUE its 1920x968x24

1 in 6 browsers has resolution 1920x1080x24 1 in 6000 browsers has resolution 1920x968x24

Who in Firefox decided this config rule? and what is the logic behind it? Looks like intentional sabotage to make peoples browsers more trackable.

Whilst leaving resistFingerprinting set to TRUE, How can I force my resolution to the more generic 1920x1080x24?

Is there another setting in about:config I can change? if there isnt, where can I request this feature? Id rather not resort to an extention for something so small like this.

I recently updated Firefox and now I'm getting a noticeable stutter when playing back videos. I used to have this issue when I first got my steam deck so I installed a flatpak ffmpeg-full which fixed the issue completely but a recent update I installed has brought the issue back. I uninstalled and reinstalled the flatpak and restarted my device but the issue persists.

When I upload an image with Firefox, it typically shows a red tint. I've seen similar reports from decades ago so I disabled `gfx.color_management.mode` in `about:config`, but that didn't help, even after restarting the browser and the computer. I disabled a couple of related settings, but that also didn't help. What else could I try?

since the last update of firefox my e mail (hot mail) attachments will not print. When print is selected the only option is to print to pdf. tried in another browser and printing works perfectly. Printing worked with no problems before last update. Help Please Please note I am a very basic user so need step by step instructions. Hoping someone can help PLEASE!

I'm having problems with Firefox using 75% of processor capacity. In "top" I see many instances of "Isolated Web Co".

At the moment of this screen shot the processor is not overwhelmed, however, it will sometime jump up to 75% and the system will seem to freeze.

What is the "Isolated Web Co"? I'm thinking a virus.

Hi, I am using Linux Zorin and have updated to a later OS but cannot reinstall my stored files because, "/home/garry/.mozilla/firefox/0czvkt76.default-release/lock". Which has confused me, I have used a Deja Dup backup which uses Duplicity files as per the Zorin programme. Duplicate files are stored in a WD ext hard drive. What can I do to recover my files pls? Could we get a totp authenticator for Firefox. I've been using Authy. They used to have a version for all OSs, Linux, Mac, and Windows - as well as Apple and Google phones. They have just discontinued their desktop apps. I was thinking wouldn't it be great if an authenticator was built into Firefox? I envisage it working like a password manager insofar as the authenticator code gets autopopulated.

This could either be built in or offered as an extension. The later may be more palatable lest the corporate overlords label Mozilla as troublesome.

I just upgrade my firefox, but it did not import my history, cookies, bookmarks or passwords. I found a backup of the bookmarks (in a bookmarkbackups folder) but how do I restore the everything else?

I want extensions to have white/black-lists, so they're only allowed or blocked on certain pages e.g facebook container ruins instagram experience... and I can't block it on *instagram.com* Such feature would significantly enhance UX on firefox
