I need help with MacOS Sequoia 15.8.1 (24H32).

Overnight firefox doesn't launch anymore.

I have firefox installed via Software Manager flatpak (official Mozilla version) but it doesn't launch anymore. Clicking launch does nothing. Version is 156.0

I tried to launch the program in safe mode via console but it straight up doesn't find it?

I would love to add troubleshooting info but I can't actually get to it. I assume an update broke something but no idea how to solve this, can I go to an earlier version?

I am not able to open my Firefox browser tonight. It was work yesterday. WHen I tried to refresh it the wheel kept spinning for over 15 min and there was no sign that it would complete the process.

when I went to turn on Firefox this evening, the icon was gone and there was no access to Firefox. The only way I could access the internet was through Safari, which I otherwise never use. This happened 2 or 3 weeks ago but, that time, I was able to find the icon. This time that is not the case.

After an update minutes ago, Firefox immediately crashes on startup and crash reporter launches Rebooted computer. Launched firefox from command line with -safe-mode and -purgecaches

Firefox stopped working yesterday. When I open it, it immediately crashes. After multiple times of that I refreshed it as it asked. It then worked ok. However after closing it and coming back later, it again immediately crashes. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still does not work.

I wanted to refresh Firefox. When I downloaded the installer from the Mozilla website, I got this message: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." I finally downlaoded it from the App store and now I get this message "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

I can't recollect doing anything lately that would have caused such a problem. I don't mess with the registry, and I don't use rogue programs. I do have a Surfshark VPN, which I disabled to download the latest version of Firefox.

I am running Windows 11 on a Dell PC, which is about 6 months old.

I didn't have any problems until reciently.

How can I fix this?

Firefox keeps crashig upon start-up. The tab stays open but it just says not responding.

I've tried deleting, and re-downloading, changing settings, changing and deleting profiles through profile manager. Troubleshoot doesn’t work and neither does refresh.

Other browsing apps work just fine, it's just firefox. I only had one add-on, which was AdGuard AdBlocker.

I hadn't done anything that I'm aware of, hadn't touched any settings and only had a max of 3 tabs open at a time.

I don't really know what else I can try anymore.

Hello! I am an avid user of firefox (especially with adblockers) on a windows 11 PC. Unfortunately, I have recently been experiencing an issue where when I attempt to open firefox, a window will open for a split second before instantly closing again. My PC is up to date, I have tried refreshing firefox and doing a clean install, but cannot seem to overcome the issue, or even open it in safe mode. Does anyone have any advice? I updated my Mac to macOS Golden Gate. Tried to update Firefox from a non-admin account. It failed. Went to admin account, deleted Firefox and reinstalled from a new dmg download. All fine in the admin account. But the non-admin account (where I work day to day) won't even launch a Firefox window. It asks for admin access to install a helper. I can't see why it needs this but have given it via username and password, but it still doesn't launch. The dock icon says "Running in Background" when I hover over Firefox and the icon bounces. But no browser window

I installed Firefox as from "https://packages.mozilla.org/apt" repo.

I don't use Firefox daily, so not sure exactly when it last opened ok on my iMac (26.5.2). So I downloaded Version=153.0.1 BuildID=20260727124451, and tried again. When attempting to launch, the icon in the dock bounced a few times, then nothing. When repeated, it only bounces once.

Likely unrelated, but I had very recently upgraded my LuLu app (4.4.3) from Objective-See. It monitors outbound connections. But disabling the app changes nothing.

I'm not a MacOS guru. I expect there is an error in a log file somewhere that reveals the problem, but I don't know where to look.

Suggestions?
