I am not able to open my Firefox browser tonight. It was work yesterday. WHen I tried to refresh it the wheel kept spinning for over 15 min and there was no sign that it would complete the process.

when I went to turn on Firefox this evening, the icon was gone and there was no access to Firefox. The only way I could access the internet was through Safari, which I otherwise never use. This happened 2 or 3 weeks ago but, that time, I was able to find the icon. This time that is not the case.

I don't use Firefox daily, so not sure exactly when it last opened ok on my iMac (26.5.2). So I downloaded Version=153.0.1 BuildID=20260727124451, and tried again. When attempting to launch, the icon in the dock bounced a few times, then nothing. When repeated, it only bounces once.

Likely unrelated, but I had very recently upgraded my LuLu app (4.4.3) from Objective-See. It monitors outbound connections. But disabling the app changes nothing.

I'm not a MacOS guru. I expect there is an error in a log file somewhere that reveals the problem, but I don't know where to look.

Suggestions?

Firefox keeps crashig upon start-up. The tab stays open but it just says not responding.

I've tried deleting, and re-downloading, changing settings, changing and deleting profiles through profile manager. Troubleshoot doesn’t work and neither does refresh.

Other browsing apps work just fine, it's just firefox. I only had one add-on, which was AdGuard AdBlocker.

I hadn't done anything that I'm aware of, hadn't touched any settings and only had a max of 3 tabs open at a time.

I don't really know what else I can try anymore.

After an update minutes ago, Firefox immediately crashes on startup and crash reporter launches Rebooted computer. Launched firefox from command line with -safe-mode and -purgecaches

This is when the online help says to submit a report with the most recent bp-numbers. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Please tell me how to resolve this issue. The 3 reports I have submitted from the crash window are:

I wanted to refresh Firefox. When I downloaded the installer from the Mozilla website, I got this message: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." I finally downlaoded it from the App store and now I get this message "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible."

I can't recollect doing anything lately that would have caused such a problem. I don't mess with the registry, and I don't use rogue programs. I do have a Surfshark VPN, which I disabled to download the latest version of Firefox.

I am running Windows 11 on a Dell PC, which is about 6 months old.

I didn't have any problems until reciently.

How can I fix this?

Multiple attempts to open Firefox produced a popup window indicating that "platform version 153.0 is not compatible with min version 152.0.6 max version 152.0.6 Maybe try to reinstall Firefox." If this is the only solution, how do I do this and retain my bookmarks, themes, etc profile? Thank you.

Mozilla Firefox is very slow and even difficult to open.....I am using this browser since ten years and never had any problem....Please do the needful at your earliest...Thank a lot....RASIK MER

Hello! I am an avid user of firefox (especially with adblockers) on a windows 11 PC. Unfortunately, I have recently been experiencing an issue where when I attempt to open firefox, a window will open for a split second before instantly closing again. My PC is up to date, I have tried refreshing firefox and doing a clean install, but cannot seem to overcome the issue, or even open it in safe mode. Does anyone have any advice? Summary - Firefox crashes repeatedly. yesterday, I decided to switch to Firefox after using Chrome for a while. it worked fine and I synced my data from Chrome. today, at some point I noticed Firefox is no longer open in my taskbar. I decided to reopen it - it crashed. since that moment it has never worked again. I tried launching it in safe mode (firefox.exe -safe-mode), didn't work. tried reinstalling it, didn't work. manually deleted the files from C:\Program Files and AppData, installed Firefox again, didn't work. reinstalled gpu drivers, didn't work. sfc /scannow-ed, you guessed it - still crashes. what else could I possibly try? please help.
