Hi,

My Mozilla Firework crashed and I can't open it at all. I have really important information there that I need access to ASAP. Everything is lost and I can't access it.

I have some sort of cloud next to the Mozilla Icon and I have no idea what it means.

Please, respond as soon as you see, as I really need your support/help regarding this matter.

I can't believe that all documents can be lost just like that.

Thank you.

Been using Firefox for a very long time. I'm currently using windows 11 with Firefox 121.0.1.

I have always used the hibernate function to switch off my computer when I finish a session, and up until a few months ago Firefox would spring back to life once my desktop reloaded.

Then I started getting this problem ... Firefox is most often but not always terminally slow to reconnect to the internet (other apps and functions have no issue). I have found the simplest way to overcome this is to shut down Firefox from Task Manager and restart it - it then connects in seconds. I suspect this started after an automatic windows update, but can't be certain.

I have searched google and Mozilla sites frequently for help with this issue but haven't found others posting the same issue as me. I think it is connected to windows power management and have checked but can't find any obvious windows setting that could cause this and have also tried switching off Hardware Acceleration but that makes no difference. Can anyone help, please? Thanks

windows update.

Hello, first of all thanks for reading.

I started using Firefox recently because I was experiencing frequent crashes using Microsoft Edge, usually when watching streaming video. I was also experiencing occasional BSODs (Blue Screen of Death). A lot of my troubleshooting searches suggested RAM was the issue, so I did memory tests, none which detected anything abnormal.

For good measure, I also did a clean reinstall of Windows. Strangely, Firefox didn't crash at all from an entire day of YouTube yesterday, but today I got 3 crashes in a very short amount of time, which you can see linked above (I don't have any more crashes). Even stranger, one of the crashes occurred when I was just browsing the Mozilla Support pages.

Anyway, I didn't read too deeply into them, but it looks like they're all citing my GPU driver as the issue... is that correct? Thanks for any ideas.

Since last week, any Google search I make using Firefox is diverted to MS Bing, the screen refreshes itself several times before settling, and then the links given in the response do not work. I have run a malware check using my Avast antivirus software which has come back clear.

I have tried checking 'Add-ons and themes' in Firefox, but only see a blank page with the identifier 'about:addons'.

Searches using Google Chrome are fine.

Can you advise please?

Dear Mozilla Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to report an issue related to Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) in the Firefox browser.

When attempting to logout from my Java Spring application, I encounter the following error message: "Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ does not match)." This issue seems to be specific to the Firefox browser, as I am not experiencing the same problem in other browsers.

I have thoroughly checked my web application's code and configurations, and the issue appears to be related to how Firefox handles CORS headers. The server is configured to include the necessary "Access-Control-Allow-Origin" header, and the application works as expected on other browsers.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Login to the application in Firefox. Click on logout in Firefox. Observe the "Cross-Origin Request Blocked" error in the browser console. (Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://login.mydomain.com/logout. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ does not match ‘https://login.mydomain.com’).

Expected behavior: The remote resource should be accessible without CORS-related errors.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. If there are any specific settings or configurations that need to be adjusted in Firefox to address CORS-related issues, please provide guidance on how to do so.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt assistance in resolving this issue.

Best regards,

Hi everyone i'm a way way older firefox user since i don't remember. I never had any big issue with it, but since i moved to my new pc few days ago, i noticed some issues that i can't solve.

Let me explain:

I've installed firefox on C: (SSD) but moved, as i always did, the user profile to F: (HDD) but i noticed few problems (i already tried few solution i knew and that i found on internet but no luck at all):

1) [IMAGE 1] In the start menu, firefox is shown without the icon

2) [IMAGE 2-3] if i visit a page and then i visit (for example) a product page of the same website and i save that product page on the bookmarks, that page will not show the favicon until i visit it a second time

3) [IMAGE 4-5] if i save a page on the hard drive like a shortcut, most of the page will show the proper favicon in high quality, others will show a low quality firefox icon (this happens also with different pages from the same website), one will show the proper icon, then other one no (i noticed inside the profile folder that inside the folder called shortcutCache the page with the right favicon saved have the right icon there too, the wrong one is wrong there too).

Any idea on how to solve this issues? Are those linked to the latest version of Firefox? I already tried to uninstall it, reinstall it and other solution that i found on the internet without any luck as already said.

Thanks in advance to anyone who will try to help me Cris

Don't know if i was clear or not, but those simple issue are driving me mad since i have a lot of bookmarks and a lot of shortcuts

Thanks to anyone will try to help me Cris

Precursor to this was a couple of Firefox crashes, likely(?) related to insufficient disk space. With this now remediated, am seeing the same CODESIGNING error. Then reinstalled Firefox afresh; same findings.

Have also tried to boot directly into Profile manager, with the same error.

Then disabled all extensions (an experiment?) in the Mozilla/Extensions folder by renaming it. No Joy.

Given above, I cannot now log into Firefox now to examine any aspect of configuration which I might change/disable.

Of great concern would be salvage of the password store and a very large bookmarks collection.

Running firefox 121 with Gnome I was hoping a problem that existed with earlier versions would be resolved. When the window protocol is wayland and the window is fullscreen (F11), playing video fullscreen causes the image to be "oversize" and only the upper-left quarter is shown.

Doing the same thing with window protocol of xwayland results in fullscreen video displaying properly.

I believe this is due to an issue with the way my 4k screen with 2x UI scaling is being reported to Firefox:

Under xwayland, I get the following information for my display (Display0) 3840x2160@120Hz scales:1.000000|2.000000

When running wayland, I get 7680x4320@120Hz scales:2.000000|2.000000

Sometime recently the History > Recently Closed Tabs function is slightly broken, and it appears due to the loading of website icons.

See Screenshot 1, where "Recently Closed Tabs" has loaded the list of sites but has not loaded the website icons. If you now move the mouse pointer into the sub-window containing the list of sites, that list will disappear and you have to click "Recently Closed Tabs" again.

If however you wait for Firefox to load all the website icons, as shown in Screenshot 2, you can move the mouse pointer into the website list window without the list window disappearing.

This is an annoyance in slower connections, e.g. public hotspots or while tethering in poor coverage locations, as the icons may take some time to load.

Everything is functioning perfectly on Chrome and Edge, but we encounter an error on Firefox (as shown in the attached screenshot). We have already added the URL that is causing the error on Firefox, and interestingly, Firefox is the only browser where this problem persists.

Could you please assist us in resolving this issue?

Until a year ago I used Safari and the only thing I could do was import all the old favorites onto my new Mozilla home page, which however were not the same ones I used now. All the sites that I had stored in my favorites with passwords disappeared, even the email ones, I no longer recognized anything I had, as if I had never used Firefox.
