I dont know how to limit the access of pornographic websites while using Firefox. Please explain how I can make the necessary adjustments to prevent future access.

I just downloaded Firefox 8.0.1. I'm using XP Professional service pack 3. The Firefox help about Tabs on Top says to go to options and click the box for Tabs on Top to turn this feature off. At home, this worked. Here that click box isn't there. Tools Options under tabs or anywhere else.

I just downloaded the 8.1 version. It was a 30+mb file. Previously I ran 4.0. So I drag the new Firefox icon into the Apps folder. It does its merge thing with the old version. Problem is when I click to open FF now, it always throws up this window asking me about the disk image of what I just downloaded. I even tried restarting the computer--but the same message pops up. I checked on your website and it says that I need to "eject" the disk image (i.e. I'm guessing that means the 30+ mb file I just down loaded), so since I don't have an eject option that I can find (except for external harddrives and cd/dvd), I just drug it into the trash. I go to empty the trash and I get a message that that dmg file is "in use" even though FF is completely shut down. So again I'm guessing that means that even though I already merged that dmg file with the old 4.0 version file, if I dump the update file it seems that it's going to mess up the actual revised program file still remaining. I just want to be able to click on the icon in my dock like I've always done and have FF open. I don't want to keep being asked about disk image stuff. Somehow this feels like an easy resolution, but I just can't seem to put my finger on how to resolve it. Thanks for you help.

Not sure if this is a Javascript issue or what, but here are some of my issues:

• Facebook: cannot close notification tab after I open it.
• Tumblr: cannot expand images in posts on my dashboard; preexisting text in forms (such as the tags form when making a new post) does not go away. This "typeover" error exists on other pages as well.
• Reddit: cannot enter the subreddit in a post; logging in from the main page results in error

This hasn't been a persistent problem; it just started today. I tried reinstalling Firefox and restarting my computer, but the issues are still present.

I don't have any of these problems in Chrome. Is this an issue Javascript and/or other plugins? When I disable Javascript, these problems don't exactly go away - the aforementioned features just don't work.

I create tabs for google, netflix, aol, etc., but when I close and re-open Firefox, they have disappeared. How do I keep them always in place for faster navigation? Thanks

New to Firefox Version 8.0.1. Previous versions always had configurable options regarding history, I don't see it on any of the menus now. I am using Windows XP on a Dell E6420 laptop. Thanks for your time.

Since the 'new' Firefox self-installed when I open bookmarks the window is gigantic. I'm not going to move my cursor across the entire monitor screen to select a bookmark. There's a huge piece of blank real estate in the middle. The bookmark window used to be narrow and concise and easily used. If I cannot fix this I'm moving to Safari. I've been using Firefox for at least 10 years. Help!!!

I want to be all the downloads through the program IDM How do I add that option to download? i have already tried to right-click of the mouse?bold text

There is an area in the upper left corner of my screen (about where "history" x is located and would go down about until the next two or three months) which the system can't read the mouse position. Right now I have my history for the past few months on the left side of my screen. I can't clear the history. This would also be where I would open a new netmail for my company.

I only have history older than 6 months when accessing history under the bookmarks tab in library. How do I add current history so that it shows monthly browsing I've done as well as todays?

When I'm on Facebook and I see an article or a post and I click on 'like,' 'comment,' 'share,'...anywhere that there is a link... it won't let me like, comment, share, etc. It takes me to a blank page 'www.facebook.com/ajax/ufi/modify.php. I'm not having this problem using other browsers. Could you please help me?? Thank you.

I am have problems logging onto adcenter.microsoft.com

As soon as I try to submit my user/pass I get the msg:

"Please enable your Internet browser to accept cookies and make sure that javascript is enabled. If you aren’t sure how to do this, refer to your browser’s Help"

I have done various tests to see if my browers does accept cookies and javascript is enabled, and all is good here.

I also have the plugin Java plugin 2 for npapi 13.6.0. (I am running firefox on mac).

I used to be able to log into the site. not anymore. Since then i must have updated firefox a few times.

I have cleared cache/cookies. I have disabled all plugins/extensions. Still can't get in.

What else can i do?

I have spoken with microsoft adcenter, and all they could tell me was make sure i have the latest java, which i have i guess.

I can't use right click cut and paste functions within Firefox. I was previously provided with a link to an add-in that solved the prblem. Can someone resend link to this add-in please

Once I installed Firefox I lost Pandora and the ability to view videos! Each site tells me to close the Firefox program before I can install Flash. How do I close the program?
