Hello community, would anyone kindly help me with this issue I'm facing? How do I export Logins and Passwords on Firefox running 78.10.1esr (64-bit) on a Mac. The export funtion is not available here and I know the this option is only available on 79 and after, but I'm using a mid 2012 Mac Pro running 78.10.1esr. Is there any way I could still export the logins?

In new version of Firefox (89) Default theme is installed but refuses to load properly it looks like the Light theme, when i am switching it to Light theme and after Default theme there is no difference it looks like Light theme anyway...Can you help me with it?

It is suspected that latest version of Firefox version 78.11.0esr (64-bit) is causing operathing systems to crash. I have not seen it on Windows platform as I am not using it. Platforms I am using are OSX and XUbuntu. The error occurs lingering on a site for a very long time. First it starts getting screen graphic errors like, some pixels are not being updated correctly. Then after a while screen starts to flicker, in a massive state, like the graphic processor is broken. In some cases with command key strokes one is able to kill Firefox, screen is back to normal and one can continue working. Facebook is the site that most commonly is causing error, but there are also other sites.

When you click on the address bar a drop down menu appears which allows you to immediately select a site that you visit frequently. How do I remove an item from this menu?

Hi. I've noticed similar messages like this after previous Firefox upgrades, but not for the latest.

My Firefox ESR was automatically updated to 78.11 on June 1, 2021. Since then I have not been able to access Amazon Prime. The error says:

Your web browser is missing a digital rights component.

In your web browser’s address bar, type about:addons, press Enter, and then on the left, click Plugins. For the Widevine Content Decryption Module, select Always Activate, and then refresh the video’s page and try watching the video. If the video doesn’t play, go back to Plugins, click the gear icon at the top of the page, and then click Check for Updates. When the plugins have updated, refresh the video’s page, and then try watching the video.

The suggestions get me no where. It is already on "Always Activate" and newer updates are available.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling a early version, but this does not work either. I get a message at the top saying that "Firefox is installing components needed to plate the audio or video on this page. Please try again later." "Later" is apparently never.

Has any else had this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've been using Firefox with Virgin Media's TV Go https://virgintvgo.virginmedia.com/en.html for quite a while without a problem. After the latest update I got the message to update the browser to the latest version and restart. I've tried talking to Virgin about it but been given the runaround by them - surprise. I've tried other browsers, Safari, Chrome, but the quality of the stream is poor compared to what I was getting with Firefox. Has anyone got any ideas? Any hopes?

is there a way so i can transfer the sync data to a different profile or change my current account password so i wont lose my sync data? inside my current firefox account i have tons of data i would rather not lost so please tell me a way to keep all my data

Firefox already has features for blocking autoplay. I use all of those.

But, some websites still manage to autoplay! Is there a way to stop those devious websites? Examples include Yahoo Finance and ESPN.

I already have Autoplay set to "Block Audio and Video" in the Permissions section of Settings. I have also gone into about:config and set the following:

media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages false media.autoplay.block-event.enabled true media.autoplay.block-webaudio true media.autoplay.default 5

Is there anything else I can do?

Also, does anyone know *why* firefox is allowing these videos to play?

I've had an ongoing problem that I've been ignoring, but today it was hard to ignore. I hope someone can help me.

Some webpages load with code where the buttons should be. I've included a screen shot.

I'm running FF 78.11 on a 2011 MacBook Pro with OSX 10.12.

Steps I've taken to try and fix the problem: - emptied the cache - turned off all privacy extensions independent of one another: ADP, Privacy Badger, Ghostery, Enhanced Tracking Protection and AdGuard - restarted with adons disabled

These steps didn't work.

The pages load with no problems on Chrome and Ghostery Dawn.

What is the problem here, and what can I do to fix it?

Folks frequently bemoan that Firefox doesn't have the same Ctrl+Shift+T keyboard shortcut to Restore Previous Sessions that Chromium has (heck, I'm one of them), but I noticed that Ctrl+Shift+N will restore Previously Closed Windows. From a backend perspective, is there a functional difference between these two options? Does using the Restore Previous Sessions button in the History panel behave differently in regards to, I don't know, cookies or something? I'm a little hazy on what a "session" is and why it's important.

Something new is happening - there is a slow and very obstructing problem in sending emails - I can receive emails normally but when I try to reply or to send a message, a yellow bar appears telling me there is a huge content slowing my process and asks me to click 'stop' or 'wait' It now takes 15 - 20 minutes to wait to send a message This has never happened before and has been happening for two days now. Please correct this problem. Thank you

I need to Change my primary email address on my Firefox Account. HOWEVER, my old MAIN email address is defunct. The servers have been shut down & I no longer have access to it. I have my secondary email attached but it will not let me change it without sending a code to my old email. PLEASE HELP!

I do not use the sync function to keep my bookmarks up to date on separate computers. I have a location on a server that I can access from any of my machines. Usually I import and export to html bookmark file.

I have organized my bookmarks into various folders. When I attempted to update one of my boxes, all the bookmarks were removed from the folders and placed in a huge list in Other Bookmarks. The folder structure did not change, but all the folders were empty.

I tried to use a json file as an alternative, but this also had the same result.

I run Debian Linux on all my machines, if that matters.

What could be the problem?

In it, they write, "Mozilla is enabling CIRA Canadian Shield as the default trusted recursive resolver (TRR) for Canadian Firefox users." I'm such a user. I also know *just* enough about the vast electronic highway system called the "Internet" to know I need safety and security measures in place.

I'm using FF 78.12 on MacOS Sierra.

I thought I'd see if CIRA Canadian Shield was the default proxy by going to Preferences > General > Network Settings. "Enable DNS over HTTPS" is selected, and the default provider is "Cloudflare." I clicked the drop down menu to see if CIRA Canadian Shield was offered as a selection. Alas, it is not. So, I selected "Custom" and typed in "CIRA Canadian Shield" (without quotation marks) and pressed "OK."

My questions are:

1) Is Mozilla enabling CIRA Canadian Shield by default as suggested in the article? 2) If so, why is it not indicated in the drop down menu? 3) Have I enabled CIRA Canadian Shield by typing it in the name as a custom proxy server?

For the last few updates of firefox I haven't been able to restore closed tabs with the regular keyboard shortcut (believe it was ctrl+alt+t and now ctrl+shift+t). The shortcut simply does nothing at all. It is frustrating as sometimes I close a tab by accident and then I have to go through the whole process clicking to find it instead of being able to bring it back up in half the time using the shortcut. I am on firefox 90.0.

What can you do about it?

scgi.ebay.co.uk has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

My switch from the release version to ESR seemed to go well, but my history and many of my settings and data, including my pinned tabs and extensive notes used by add-ons, were gone. I managed to reconstruct most of them, but was distressed to find that when Fx updated my ESR version those settings were again gone.

I have again restored most of the lost settings (including the one not to automatically update!) but I know I can't defer Fx updates indefinitely, and I also expect I may want to return at some point to the release version--and I desperately don't want to have to reconstruct my settings any more (or at least more than one last time). I'm not concerned about the loss of my history

Since I'm prepared to note all my settings first, starting fresh seems like a viable solution. I just need to know how (unless you can suggest a better option). I'd be happy with either the release or ESR channel.
