I use a 2020-21 MacBook Pro. I ALSO use four different browsers for different types of things. Recently, ONLY IN FF have I been getting this little annoyance in the upper left-hand corner of the window when I open a new window. In don't get it anywhere else and cannot understand what a 'Cntrl-Click (Mac)' (right-click on that other platform) tells me about it. I WAS able to eliminate a SIMILAR nuisance about some sort of groups. The icon was a little box split into four sections. With both, the screen gets a white haze over it until clicking on the little box. . I have included a screen shot of the box in question. . Thanks in advance... .

Hello, in the last couple of days I spent a lot of time deleting old accounts stored in "passwords" in my Firefox account and making sure no vulnerable passwords were still around. I did it from my Mozilla account, on a laptop.

When I was done with it, I signed out from my account on my Android Firefox app, and deleted all the cache and the data, to remove all the old password. Unfortunately, when I looged back in my Firefox account, the old passwords were still there and synced on my laptop as well.

So, is there any way I can undo that Sync? The problem is that now not only all my cleaning pointless, but I changed the password for many accounts and the Sync override it with the old ones.

I wish Firefox would realize that when working on this machine I am at work and my laptop is personal. I now have too many work things registered under my personal email. I am considering no longer using FireFox because the browser can't seem to be cognizant of work vs. personal.

Is there a way to force the Ctrl+K shortcut to always move focus to the search bar? More and more websites steal ctrl-k to trigger internal search which is super irritating. Any config/extension/trick to force the default behavior?

Recently I've noticed that some web sites are displaying text in very washed-out colours or on backgrounds of similar colour to the text. This produces a low contrast ratio and makes the text very hard to read. I tried setting the text colour in Firefox settings, but this seems only to affect text where the web site does not explicitly set a colour. Is there any way to ovcerridethe web site's choice of colour?

the theme i chose for firefox ("clear") is no longer here when i quit and reopen the next day - then it's "eye friendly" (brand new mac / tahoe) - i probably do something wrong but dont know what… thank you if you may help

After update tahoe 26.1 update on mac firefox keeps stalling are they fixing this before i switch? I have a lot of tabs and things here but if you keep freezing I am going to switch. Are they fixing this? I already did all the things you suggest online. It freezes, and I can't keep this up?

Some videos work perfectly fine, however for some videos audio lags behind the video. The same video file perfectly works in Chromium as a control test. Example file is MP4, inside was initially h264 video with AAC audio, for test I re-encoded video to be svt-AV1 with AAC / flac as well - no difference, audio still lags behind. Local players (mpv) and Chromium works perfectly. No plugins which can affect it - for testing disabled them all. I really try hard to like Firefox but this thing is a real bummer. Any ideas what can be causing? P.S. I tested both firefox compiled from source and binary package provided by my distro. Linux system if that matters.

I am very disappointed with the recent news from Firefox's new CEO to evolve into an AI browser. I specifically have been using Firefox to avoid AI generated results like those in Google/Bing. Firefox is losing its reputation as a trustworthy, user-first browser. I will stop using Firefox if/when these AI features are added.

Can someone help please: - I've been trying to buy some tickets for an event in France. When I access the following from Firefox (140.6.0esr (64-bit)) on Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie)) the ticketing purchase options don't show. For bunnings.com.au and youtube.com I can't get the websites to respond to mouse clicks. I run Firefox ESR. I can't install any chrome based browser as they are blocked. I plan to stay with Firefox. I am on 140.6.0esr. This problem has been happening since at least 140.2.0

When I go to youtube.com and type in the search bar, nothing happens. When I go to bunnings.com.au same. I can't search. Clicks on anything are ignored. There may be other sites I have not yet discovered. I can type in the search bar but pressing enter or clicking search does nothing.

For you tube, if I go to DDG and do a search, the you tube videos will play when embedded there, but the actual youtube site won't work for me.

What I've tried. Not sure what to try next.

For some days now the Guardian (UK journal) website can't be loaded. It's specific for Guardian, I have no such problems with other sites, and I don't have this problem with Guardian with Chrome. I've erased cookies and caches, restarted my computer, to no avail. I'm using version 146.6.0 of Firefox on MacBook Pro 2020 with Sequoia 15.7.1.
