I have the default Google search home page. For the last 3 updates, I see your Firefox Beta is out of date on the home page. I just downloaded and installed 12.0b2. I have Options/Advanced/Update - auto on. Help about shows I am on Firefox Beta 12. (note not 12.0b2)

I can view my current transactions, but the download tab does not work. I call Amex and they are aware of the problem and said it was a FireFox problem to fix. IE work fine.

If i have a tab at www.google.ca and open another tab and type www.google.ca, it doesn't jump to the one already existed anymore.

I am running FF 12.0 Beta. On some websites, links, menu items and buttons do not work. I checked the Error Console and receive the same message every time.

v12.0b2 (20120321033733) The Session Manager addon can't save (save button allways off), and these menu options history allways off too: -restore previous session -recently closed tabs -recently closed windows Please fix ASAP Please fix ASAP!

When I disable the toolbar and then reenable it then all the bookmarks are still there but each time I restart firefox then the too bar (even though it is enabled) shows as blank until I kill it and bring it back again. Additionally, even though my homepage shows as correct in the options it does not load when I start Firefox.

Other browsers print fine but not Firefox. It happened out of the blue. I've been using Firefox for years. I don't understand it but know that I can't use Firefox now.

Firefox is not updating my Java Applet after install. I erased the pluginreg.dat file and that did not help. I have a screenshot showing that it is working and installed, from oracle.

I always ask this question when switching to a new platform/interface.

I'm in the process of developing a simple firefox plugin that allows users to view .mkv video on the browser.

Just how someone would develop a plugin for .mp4 video support.

My question is this: How will firefox know to use my plugin when it is trying to stream .mkv video?

As far as I'm concerned all plugins need to be running and firefox needs to cycle thorough them, testing each one to see if it can play the video.

This is slightly confusing. I already know how to get plugins to install, and the programming part where I incorporate support for a given file type is fairly easy.

But, how will firefox know when to use my plugin?

Tried all the standard FF solutions, but still not loading. Has worked in the past. Have tried in Safe mode. Also had problems with easyjet.com. Homepage loaded, but no links work in FF.

The default search engine on the default homepage in firefox is redirecting me to yahoo and I can't figure out why or how to fix it, I've done all of the suggestions and solutions suggested in earlier posts and versions and I don't know how to fix it.

I have jre1.6_u31 installed on a Windows 7 and the brilliant firefox keep tell me that I've to install the jre_1.6_u29 missing plugin when I try to run an applet...a simple applet!! The plugin doesn't appear on add-ons manager then i use "check your plugins" and the stupid response is: "For your safety, Firefox has disabled your outdated version of Java. Please upgrade to the latest version." Running an applet is basic! Why are u making new versions when older ones are better? I' m sick of running into this stupid problems with firefox! Everything works on ie, chrome and safari but not on Firefox! I' m sick of trying to solve firefox basic problems! We have a site that has one thousand ore more visits per day...and we only have troubles with firefox! What do I tell the costumers? I' m not going to give them solutions difficult and confusing as usually your solutions are! They are common people not developers as me...they just want the things to work! I gave up and the solution that I give to them now is to stop using firefox and uninstall it. And people ask I chrome is becoming the second most used browser...here is your answer... I' m a developer and I've to develop I don't have the time patiente to trying solving basic firefox problems. If you don't know how to solve the problems then stop developing this and save us the headaches.

Browser Protect is a great Product!! In my Norton internet security 2012 history file it lists Browser protect every 10-15 seconds as trying to create a registry key and it (Norton) keeps blocking it. What does this mean? How can this be resolved safely? Isn't this using up a lot of my performance? (or whatever it's called.)

    I tried to get an answer at Browser Protect home but I couldn't find the help and support section, only the feedback section.

Im not sure when exactly it started (As the problem drove me to stop using the browser until i had the time to actually troubleshoot it), but firefox is displaying a black box over pretty much anything that moves on the screen, anything i can click, and even the entire screen when a scroll up and down the page. This is happening on every website, and is driving me insane.

Iv tried reinstalling firefox (version 11), disabling all my add-ons, and creating a new profile. I even waited till the next update to see if it would change anything. It didnt.

Now, this is where things get interesting (Well, it made ME intrigued at least :L). If i run the browser in 'Safe mode' it clears up the problem completely, but from my understanding, running in safe mode is just running with all add-ons disabled, settings at default, themes disabled, and without any profile data whatsoever, so how am i still getting this problem with a brand new profile?

Any help or info is appreciated, i miss using firefox.

OH, Also, here are my computer specs:

Firefox updated today. Suddenly my home page is acting up. When I click on home it goes to the correct page, but shoots to the bottom of it every time. I'd like to straighten it out please.

Hi all! I've been trying to remove google from being the default search provider in firefox. To achieve this I've done these two things -

- Moved Duckduckgo to the top of the list in the firefox search box and set it as the current seach.

- Set Keyword URL to "https://duckduckgo.com/?q=" and keyword.enabled to true.

However once this is done my searches from the location bar (both single word and multiple word strings) still return google.

It appears to be something to do with the google search entry in the firefox search bar. If I remove that, it behaves as expected - single word searches return a 'Server not found' error (not quite what I wanted but arguably correct behavior) and multiple word searches go to Duckduckgo.

Any suggestions on how to solve this without removing the google search option completely would be appreciated.
