New Lenovo Desktop ThinkCentre, 16GB RAM, Three 1TB Drives, Windows 11 Pro 64bit, Firefox 104.02 (I don't remember when exactly the icons disappeared - I have been working offline until today - I unplug from the internet unless I'm using it, to try to keep Microsoft out of my PC as much as possible - I'm really considering going back to Linux.)

Add-On Extension Icons are NOT showing. Complicated, but non-working, answers to this problem provided on the internet more than once over the years!

I need to get to some work items from my OneTab saves and cannot.

HOW can I install an older version over this one? HOW can wait to install new versions until they have been tested? HOW can I switch to only get "long term support" versions?

P.S. Is there a way to suggest to DuckDuckGo that they SORT their search results BY DATE the article was written and show the dates in the search results? That seems like a DUH.... to me.

Firefox stopped clearing browser and download history when the browser is closed. It appears this started after the latest update (104.0). The settings have not been changed, nor have any new extensions been added. Firefox just simply stopped performing this function as it should.

When I go to yellowpages.com everything looks as it should until I type in the business I want to look up. The screen that pops up offers the suggestions of businesses it has selected to view. But the lines are all jammed together making it quite difficult to read. Something is awry because on Edge this does not happen. Screenshot attached.

FF is fully updated. I use the dark theme, no issues up til now. Suddenly text in certain sections of my browsing is dark. I've tried changing themes, using system colors and not, nothing fixes it. I just want to be able to read all the text on my page again. See images for what I'm referring to. Any help is appreciated. Ff version 104.0.2 (64-bit) Windows 10

even weirder, i can access both google and FB on my laptop with firefox. I've tried syncing the two with having bookmarks etc. i can sync from laptop to desktop but not vise versa.

i thought I'd uninstall and reinstall firefox but i don't want to lose any info esp my Bookmarks on the Desktop hence why i was trying to sync the two.

My desktop is older, maybe 5-6 years, my laptop is 1 year old. Dunno if this matters. thanks, Jan

Is there a way to remove the dotted frame in the history/bookmarks tree as seen in the attached picture.

I use Firefox to download, copy, and store WikiSpecies pictures.

Currently, my .../Documents/WikiSpecies/Animalia_Plantae_8 directory holds what it says are 90,876 items, totalling 11.5 GB. I have plenty of unused space in that directory (over 91 GB), so space is not an issue.

Lately, when I try to install a new picture, I keep getting a warning that the picture is already stored. This MAY be because I am running out of new pictures, but I can't tell.

Is there any capacity limit to a WikiSpecies directory?

Firefox is forcing me to download a lot of temporary files instead of opening them in their native application, resulting in cluttering up my hard drive and making me unnecessarily having to clean up after the browser.

How can I fix this privacy invading feature?

I want to know if there was any changes in recent tab cycling behavior? Now I need not press enter or click mouse button on one tab from list. Before there was instant tab changing after stop pressing keys (ctrl+tab). Greetings Kamil Tomicki

Under Firefox "Help" menu I saw that there is a link for "Share ideas and feedback". I posted today an idea to Mozilla Connect "Ideas' section to improve Firefox, but it seems to be deleted. My account page shows I posted "1 post", but no post is visible. Is it possible that my post is deleted by admins for some reason? In that case, shouldn't I receive a message for why it is deleted? Title: “Active tab” marker design needs to be changed to make it more functional

Post content: Firefox is my favorite browser. I use several other browsers during my work, as well and the older design of Firefox tab markers (indicating which tab I am on) was much better. Before Firefox ver. 89, the active tab design was more functional as it was immediately clear which tab is the “active tab”. I prepared a visual comparison of how different browsers indicate the active tab. (attached image). Also inserted how it was before Firefox Ver 89. I hope the designers will take this into consideration in the future releases.

FireFox keeps putting a .jpg at the end of any file I try to download with .exe as its extension and adds a .jpg, example, when I download QU210InstallFiles.exe it changes it to QU210InstallFiles.exe.jpg and I cannot there for install the program because it has the .jpg added to it and it wants to open in windows media viewer instead. It never use to do this, what have you guys done....uuhhhh, any help would be nice and I thank you. Daniel Goggia

The uploaded image is not what I expected. There should be an image of my desktop and the text has somewhat background color which supposed to be transparent causing some texts to be cropped. I have Dark Reader extension turned-off since Facebook has it's own dark mode. How to fix this?

I'm on Firefox 104.0.2 Manjaro KDE Plasma 5.25.5.

My wife has an older Mac. About a week ago, a pop-up from Firefox told her to update her program. She loaded in the new one and when she tried to open it she got the message that her computer was too old for the update.

We had to reload the most recent update which had been running on her computer.

Now, none of her bookmarks show up and the bookmark toolbar will not display near the top of the screen as it used to.

None of help items online are of any use because what they say will show up on the screen (such as when you enter "about:profiles") is not what shows up on her screen.

Is there any way to recover her bookmarks, passwords and other saved data, please?

I can download an E-Trade brokerage statement from my DELL LAPTOP, Windows 10 and Firefox ((identical to my Desktop) whereby I can view the pages of the statement , however, from my DESKTOP I cannot download an E=Trade brokerage statement for me to view the pages of the statement.

How can I view the bookmarks/library in the browser pane, rather than a toolbar on the side? I can't read the small print, my folders aren't visible, and a miss-click collapses the entire menu.

I want it to open like the "settings" menu, where it is in the browser pane like any regular website.

I am running Unix Ubuntu 22.04 with Firefox 104.0.01 (64 bit). My Canon LBP 6230DW works fine in my word processor and in Chrome, but it does not show up in the Printer destination field when I am in Firefox. The only print option is to "Save as PDF." How do I get the Canon to be a print destination in Firefox?

Hello, I am eyesight impaired. I am having trouble when trying to use the search bar on the home screen. When the search is typed in the home screen it automatically swaps to the ADDRESS BAR SEARCH. The text is so small I cannot see it very well as a result my typos are abundant, very frustrating. Using the home search bar rather than the address bar I can control the size of the text and use it with no problems. At some point this home search bar function changed, I have tried to use the address bar in place of the home search bar but as I said, it is too small to see. It also makes it almost impossible if you want to search a valid link instead of going to the link because the address bar interprets it as a link and just goes to it, also frustrating. I see a lot of talk about this issue but I don't see any final correction. Is there some way someone could put an effort into this issue for us diminished septuagenarian programmers from the days of old? Thanks in advance, Jim
