I am helping someone with setting up their computer. They are on Windows 7. As part of that setup, I needed to shrink the C: partition so I could create a second partition. The C: drive is on a SATA connected SSD. After running a defragger to do that and consolidate the files to the lower half of the disk I found that there were some unmovable files very near the end of the disk that prevented the shrink. When I examined the files (via the defragger interface), they were in the Firefox profile in the Cache2 folder. But when I navigated to the profile, there was no cache2 folder.

I have run chkdsk and it fixed a few errors but the files were still unmovable and not visible in Explorer. I have enabled Hidden and System files. So how in the heck do I delete these files so I can shrink the partition?

Hi. I use reader view a lot for both English and Turkish articles. I recently realized the headphone icon is gone for Turkish pages.

Every now and then, somebody asks why Firefox Sync fails so hard when it comes to custom search engines such as those installed from mycroft.mozdev.org, now https://mycroftproject.com/ for no apparent reason. We are talking about OpenSearch standard and Sherlock.

As of now, the search results on https://support.mozilla.org are either archived or unanswered. Please work on the ranking of search results so users can see

• when a thread has been started / last updated
• which answer is actually solving the problem or at least linking to the correct statement of the developers concerning the topic.

why do i get this,(We're experiencing technical difficulties.) on all pch.com and spectrum.pch.com

When I attempt to open FF V101 it will only open to the left. It will go ahead and fully open if I click on the expand tool in the upper right corner of browser (or what there is of it). Any ideas out there?

Windows Edge has taken over as my browser. How do I get firefox to be my browser by default? I have tried many times but the box to delete windows edge is greyed out. Please help

Multiple times per week I've been experiencing an issue where firefox just stops loading pages any longer. Looking at the network debugger, all I get for a status is a Get method and nothing happens...but in the tab It looks like its loading. Sometimes existing tabs will work, sometimes not and sometimes its not always every tab that will or will not work...

The only fix is to close firefox then kill every firefox process and then things are fine again. Other browsers work, and other systems I remote onto work, therefore its not an an internet or system connectivity issue...its very specific to firefox only.

Not sure how to troubleshoot this further. I could wireshark but since the browser doesn't appear to be actually making a call to the network based on the network inspector in the browser, I'm not sure thats going to show much.

Anyone else have any idea's? This has been occurring through at least 2 firefox updates and I am pretty sure I saw it happen on my laptop before as well, but I don't use my laptop as much as my desktop...

I just deleted my account "arhmanh@gmail.com". I want to add it as a secondary email to my current account "arhman@batelco.com.bh. However, sustem informed that the deleted account still exists. Please advise.

When I login into by back account I get to messages that bank has confirmed that it's from firefox login records. So instead of just logining into bank account I have to go through two extra login screens before I get in. These screens are saying that my login isn't correct, but after clicking on both (now 3rd screen) I get into my account.

Firefox on Windows 11 now runs at 100% and a stack of ram. Obviously this slows down my PC and this is only on the home page with nothing to look at. This makes it unuseable. Tried help pages - no use at all. Why am I asking an unknown instead of Mozilla? To big for their boots?

I use Firefox for many years, no problems. But recently I got fake websites with www.maccabi4u.co.il and PayPal. What is wrong? I downloaded Chrome and it does not happen.

I need to be able to open my PDF'S in yahoo/Fire Fox, It stops me and puts me into some other option that I can read them. That option only allows me to read them only? So I have to go to outlook to read/move them ETC
