Hello, Every time I try to open a new tab, either for searching or for opening up any of my accounts such as facebook, a security alert pops up and the URL is resultvIt.com. Please help.

i use firefox on ubuntu and a dropdown terminal app called tilda. i configured the F1 key in the system to bring down the tilda terminal. it works in every other application, just when firefox is in front, the F1 key does nothing. it wasn't the case before, now it is.

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

The Debian Firefox packages available are only 115.6. Thought it would be nice to have the latest. Grabbed all the dependencies according to the Mozilla web site.

Installed Firefox 121.0 as root and placed folder into /opt, as instructed. Went through all the settings and imported my bookmarks.

Now there is a 121.0.1 upgrade available but my browser won't automagically install the upgrade. Says click here to download. So I do. I get the entire tar.bz2 bundle, which creates a full directory structure, as if I was starting over.

Can I just move a few files from that into the existing /opt/firefox directory to get the upgrade? If so, which ones?

Or, can I move few files from the existing directory into the new version, and replace the whole lot? If so, which ones?

great work with devloping such fine browser from past week i have been having a issue while browsing youtube the browser gets stuck and i am not able to forward or rewind the video or if i switch tabs it takes some time and to load already loaded page kindly help me with the same warm regards satish

I have tried preventing Firefox from autostarting with Windows start up by examining these potential program starting locations:

Firefox automatically updated to 123.0. Now the only tabs that will open are to support.mozilla.org or similar mozilla.org links. Everything was fine this morning, but now nothing works. This is problematic because I have a lot of tabs open for different sites that I work on daily.

My Kaiser website kp.org can't come up...the following error message:

"The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR how do I get rid of this error that keeps popping up when I attempt to launch Amazon.com I have never had this happen before..... it just started about a week ago.

Here is a rather long winded explanation of my problem initially prepared for an email to Firefox until I found out that was not a possibility. Hello Agent, I have a problem with Firefox described as follows: I have an account with a company called Eversfield Organic an organic meat company. They have a facility whereby the delivered cold packs and insulating material can be returned to them via DPD free of charge. To achieve this a form has to be completed on Eversfields site to enable a returns label to be printed. When attempting to complete this form one line of this form will not accept an input. This item is called the “Country” which should read “United Kingdom”. I cannot input this manually or by my password manager “RoboForm” which temporary inputs United Kingdom until I release the mouse button when it goes blank again. I have tried the Google Chrome and Opera browsers which work perfectly using this system. So logically it would appear that there is a fault with Firefox which is a shame since it is my preferred browser. It would be appreciated if you can provide a solution to this problem. I'm experiencing a problem when I visit certain websites, like 'https://mui.com/x/react-data-grid/'. Every time I try to access this site, the page starts an infinite reloading loop, preventing me from using the website normally.

Hi, I used to be able to go to my email with Foxfire Mozilla with one click. Now I have to go to gmail, click on user name, insert my password twice, and then go to my phone to click on "yes, it is me" and sometimes before that enter a code, and then go to update securty all before I can read my email. I don't need any of this; I am the only user of my account and the only person who uses my computer. I am very unhappy with this. Also, just recently I now have lots of popups, most about music. It isn't even advertising, that I could understand, just annoying boxes of useless information that I have to dismiss. What is going on?,

I want certain extensions to be able to run in private windows, but not in normal windows. For example, I would browse normally without a VPN extension, and when I open a private window, the VPN extension would be enabled.

Firefox often display messages at the lower right corners - only from selected sites.

It drives my crazy - because I have to click on each and ervy one.

How can I select the sites which are displayed or can I shut them off all together ?!?

Please advise !

I have been using my banks website, www.lbandt.com, for years. Suddenly firefox cannot find the website, what is the problem? Have to have access or can't use firefox.

I've been using the following in userChrome.css for many years

1. menu_close { display: -moz-box !important; }

to restore "Close Tab" in the File menu, based on cor-el's response regarding restoring menu_bookmarkAllTabs here:

This stopped working some time ago and I am finally getting around to asking why.

I do have toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets set to true, and other items in userChrome.css are working.

I am using 121.0 at home and 115.0 ESR at work and see the same (i.e. no "Close Tab"), in both cases on Debian testing. I do see this menu item when using the keyboard to open the File menu.

Any idea why this no longer works?
