I just installed firefox on a brand new Windows 11 PC and Firefox continually crashes. I did a clean install and still I can't go a couple of minutes without a tab crashing.

only one i didn't use is hardware acceleration because I just wanna use Firefox normally I am not here for anything that lowers the normal performance I am used to and it's not a real fix

Also Firefox is literally the only thing that crashes on my PC, even other browsers I tried such as Chrome and Opera (both versions including GX) were working just fine, both safe mode and clean installation by deleted the folders in AppData and even deleting everything and updating windows and drivers are up to date, and it still crashes regardless.

Going to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted doesn't show me Submitted folder which I assume it happened cause of the multiple clean reinstallation I did but there is pending and events and idk how to share a dmp file here.

Only reason I am still sticking to Firefox is the fact that it's more private than say Google, Opera and Edge and that's most important to me, and the problem happens to probably any website, maybe mainly media sites like Twitch and Youtube but it may jsut be coincidence or maybe cause I stay on these for longer than 5-10 mins normally so they are more noticeable.

Thanks in advance, I am surprised not many people mentioning these problems on the internet but I did see some Reddit posts i wonder if not many people are being affected or just that there are many other options for people to bother complain nowadays and I don't use social media much to post there but I may have to do it eventually if it reaches anyone who can fix this.

On certain websites, for example unsplash as described in the error code, Firefox always crashes. First the whole window including the menu bars will flash white and then it will crash... Opening in troubleshoot mode will lead to the same result.

Help! Every time I scroll over a picture, it opens in a new tab. I don't have to click on the picture or tell Firefox to do something for it to happen. I must have closed 100 today while browsing Facebook! What has changed and how can I stop it please?

Ever since i updated to Firefox ver 93, it locks up. It wont open correctly or crashes. I have been able to use Chrome so i know its not my internet. I have rebooted my system several times. Using Win10. Sometimes I can get it to work in Troubleshooting Mode but not always. Frustrating!

Hi; When I close FF (V96.01) it does not seem to close properly and when restarted trys, usually unsuccesfully, to reopen previous tab. I have , open previous tabs and windows, unchecked in settings. I have tried both the X and exit. If I set, browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash, to false in options it does not happen. as per https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1292610. But when I reset session restore to true the problem resumes. This makes me believe FF is not closing properly Win10 is up to date with all latest updates as is FF.

Is there a fix for this?

hi. i was debugging my Django_React project in inspect element mode of firefox and that was my first time doing that so i was confused and clicking on some buttons to get to know what to do and outta no where that page crashed. i did rerun my whole project and tried again to connect to it but doesnt work. i checked, the firefox is up to date. i ran firefox in troubleshoot mode and reran the project but still doesnt work and crashes. i think it is not about my hardware or firewall options.

For no reason I can identify, Firefox has started repeatedly crashing ever since I upgraded to Monterey on my fairly new Mac. It happens two or three times a day. I always send the report. This morning when I started up, I noticed the Firefox browser had been updated to 94.0.1, and I hoped it would have fixed itself, but an hour later it crashed again.

Frequent crashes. I've run Onyx. Reset extensions. Reinstalled firefox. I've been using google maps frequently, so I switched to safari and that crashed too. Trying chrome now -- no problem yet. I'm wondering if GPU is at fault. I've ramped up cooling based on GPU. Still crashing. Tried holding down D and option D to test ram but I just get a command line on a non-responsive screen.

Dear Mozilla volunteer! I recently experience regular crashes of FireFox version 94.02 under MacOS Monterey. I have removed some add-ons and also "probleemoplossingsmodus" did not help. Furthermore I uploaded various crashreports.

Where can I find help to solve this problem? Or is MacOS 12.01 the culprit and do I have to wait for an update from Apple?

There has been a legitimate issue with the bookmarks since the 92.0 update. This applies only to Windows 7 users. The list is very lazy and will actually freeze up. It takes forever to highlight the bookmark you want and the favicons are delayed in populating. Refreshing Firefox doesn't work. Renaming favicons.sqlite and places.sqlite, and those with the -shm and -wal extensions, if existing, doesn't work either. I don't need help from contributors. The following message is to the developers &/or whoever bastardized Firefox since the 92.0 update...

As I stated, this is a Windows 7 issue. The developers should fix this problem for us Windows 7 users. It was them who caused this issue since the 92.0 update. Everything worked perfect until then. Here’s a bright idea for the developers. How about getting this matter fixed, so that us Windows 7 users can have the same functionality as everyone else. Stop screwing around with a million and one updates every year. You people are doing more harm than good. The people running Chrome are a hell of a lot more intelligent. No issues whatsoever with Windows 7! Try that on for size.

Initially when I closed a tab Firefox crashed but now I can't even open it, it crashes immediately. I have V94.0.1 64 bit version of Firefox. Let me start with this - I really like Firefox and all that it stands for in terms of privacy. I despise Chrome, MSIE/Edge, and Safari because of the data mining they do.

That said, I am very frustrated with Firefox performance on both my Windows PC and my Apple MacBook. I have several pinned tabs. It takes what feels like FOREVER for the pinned and other tabs to open and fully load from the previous session. In fact, some tabs, pinned or not pinned, take easily 15 -20 minutes before they fully load, if they ever load. I also have several tabs that crash all the time - TitanTV, LinkedIn, IMDB, iCloud, Cozi, YahooMail, etc. There are also times where a tab or page gets so hung that I have to close Firefox and start it again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I have not found any useful assistance on this support forum or with general web searches.

Can someone PLEASE help me solve this as it is way beyond annoying?

A very serious bug in all Firefox browsers (it's been around for several years!). If you open multiple tabs (many tabs) in your browser, virtually all settings will not work, e.g. you won't open Options, Menus, various tasks, extensions, won't save your bookmarks, and many other problems. Although the browser opens a page and the Tab works! But everything else is NOT WORKING, even in Safe Mode or Troubleshooting Mode! I've reported this many times: No developer help! Hi all, first time poster,

Very frequent firefox crashes has rendered the program almost useless, seems to continue to get worse as well. Minimal plugins enabled. Crashes still occur in Troubleshoot mode. No third party modules. Have also played around with performance mode. All continues to happen, in fact happened on this tab as I was typing this. Below are my recent crash reports. My Firefox app has been refusing to startup since yesterday, just crashing every time it attempts to start. I assume it's because I have an exorbitant amount of tabs open, but I'm not 100% sure. I tried refreshing Firefox, but the problem is that attempting to refresh loses all my tabs with no way of getting them back. I've tried refreshing previously, and afterwards I would get the option to choose which tabs/windows I would like to restore, but now I'm not getting that option so I'm forced to see if there's any other solutions. I haven't lost any of my previous data after trying to refresh once, since it's saved in the profile in the "Old Firefox Data" folder, but I just want to see if there's any solution that won't require me to start fresh.

I'm uploading changed webpages to the internet on a daily basis, using Firefox. I'm Using Firefox version 100.0 now and I have discoverd a problem with version 100.0 . From Firefox version 99.01 and downwards, this problem never existed before. The refresh button in Firefox 100.0 ( Ctrl+R ) no longer works good anymore! Sometimes it works good, the other time it's not working correct anymore, you will not see the latest uploaded webpage on the internet. The only solution to this problem is bij closing Firefox and restarting it. Only then you will see the latest uploaded webpage on the internet. Please have a serious look at this annoying problem in version 100.0. This problem can only be discoverd by people who are uploading new webpages to the internet, not bij the regular internet-users/visitors.
