Using Macos on an M1 MacBook Pro. When adding bookmarks to folders on version 110 to the bookmarks toolbar the contents of the folders on the toolbar do not update after adding a bookmark.

To clarify, a bookmark can be seen when I click manage bookmarks and look at the same folder (so it is there), it can also be seen if I add a bookmark directly to the bookmarks toolbar root, but not if it's in a folder in the toolbar.

Even a restart of Firefox fails to show the bookmark.

I do have bookmarks in folders on the toolbar but it seems to have stopped showing any new ones.

Any idea why?

Unlike Chrome, if you drag n drop a bookmark, it is saved with the url as a title. You need to click the star for the bookmark to be saved normally.

Any plans on changing that?

I am not too good with the computer and have just starting using Firefox. I will do my best to describe my question so please bar with me. I have 2 rows of websites that I frequent...actually only using the first row and 5 spaces in the second row. When I go to a different website Firefox is automatically adding that website to one of the boxes in the second row which I do not want. How do I stop this? Question 2...using Ebay as an example...if I keep searching on Ebay and have looked at lets say 5 different pages how do I go back to the home screen without having to hit the back button 6 times? This morning after no noticeable change to my computer, the bookmarks are missing from Firefox. I thought it might be after last update, but that was a week ago (I think) and I didn't have this issue until after the weekend (computer on but not used, system did not restart). The bookmark backups are listed but i get the following error when trying to load them:

"Unable to process the backup file."

I have found the file location, but even trying to do it manually gives the same error.

Is this a bug from the new update?

I reinstalled my computer from scratch with Windows 11, before this reinstallation I had Windows 10. Now I noticed that with the newest Firefox version 109 (that I also had before with Windows 10) and Windows 11 my multirow bookmarks toolbar doesn´t work anymore. Before the reinstallation it worked with the following code:

I already tried some other codes that I found in the internet but none of them worked. I have this code in the file userChrome.css, this file is in a chrome folder and this folder is in my profile folder. Can anybody tell me what I have to do to make the multirow bookmarks toolbar working again?

Have to keep scrolling bookmarks folders from the top instead of being able to pick up where I left off LIKE IT USED TO BE.

Also, instead of being able to right click and open bookmarks in new tabs to try and speed things up, it immediately switches to the new tab, which means having to scroll from the top of the folder AGAIN anyway. And yes, I'm well aware of the "switch to it immediately" option in the settings menu, and that box is UNCHECKED in my settings.

I'm not the only one complaining about this time waster, yet no replies from support on any of the threads.

What is the fix for solving the issue of having to scroll back down through the same bookmarks in a folder, instead of the folder holding its place from where you were working? This is ridiculous.

Firefox updated to 106.0.2 (64-bit). When I click the sidebar icon, my bookmarks appear on the browser's left side as expected. However the text is not visible. If I hover my mouse over an icon is the list for a bookmark, the link appears. Also not all the bookmark icons appear. There are gaps between bookmarks on the list. Again, I have to hover my mouse over those gaps for bookmark info to appear. How do I make my bookmark list readable/usable again?

Hello. First of all, does anyone know where a list of supported query terms for smart bookmarks could be found?

I already know some, such as "sort=" and "maxResults=", but would like to see a full list.

Second, would it be possible to use smart bookmarks to show a list of visited websites whose URLs match a pattern such as "food.com/*doughnuts*"? That is, all websites from food.com that also have the term doughnuts in the URL?

Hello, I upgraded my windows 8.1 system with firefox on it to windows 10. The windows 10 upgrade saved my windows 8.1 files. I installed firefox on windows 10. I deleted the files created by the install in the folder 'profiles'. When I copy my old firefox profile contents into that firefox profile folder, firefox does not pickup my bookmarks and extensions as I had hoped. Is it possible to get firefox to recognize my old profile contents? Thanks, Doug

Hello, I am changing computers. I used Mozilla Firefox on the old computer and now on the new one. It's the same version; I checked. I exported the bookmarks from the old computer as HTML (that was the only option) but when I try to import them to the new computer and the same version of Firefox, they will not import.

Hi there, Trouble is never far away from windows 10, as I had (yet again) to reset my whole notebook and Firefox and cannot recover previous bookmarks, nor the side bar. I am absolutely throttled on this as all seems unresponsive. I have found a copy of old firefox but it won´t swallow it. How can I get out of this situation which catches me out everytime. keep it simple
