hey, i couldn't find any option for it, so i'm asking here. i switched from chrome to firefox but i noticed that once you reach a certain amount of tabs, you need to start scrolling through your tabs. how do i make it so, that all tabs are visible at once and theres no need for scrolling ? thank you

I've created a Firefox web extension called Context Search. One of the options that it offers is to open Google Search results in the sidebar. However, the search results are truncated and don't fit in the sidebars limited width. I've tried using a mobile user agent, but that doesn't appear to solve the problem. I have no idea how to fix this problem and need some help.

I'm experiencing a problem when I visit certain websites, like 'https://mui.com/x/react-data-grid/'. Every time I try to access this site, the page starts an infinite reloading loop, preventing me from using the website normally.

I recently made a post that was resolved where enabling "Remember search and form history" would hang my browser.

In regards to this option, I really want to keep the "remember search" function but disable the "form history" option.

I'm aware that in about:config, the option browser.formfill.enable removed the form but is there a separate option to enable remember search?

So I'm running firefox developer edition, and with the same extensions on normal plain firefox, the search results kinda lag behind. If i type fast enough/normal speed, the words underneath the actual typing bar will lag behind. if i type slowly it doesnt do this...

I am developing a website (using AstroJS, but i don't think that's the problem) and since yesterday I am experiencing issues when opening devtools. Once I open devtools the whole FF tab becomes unresponsive, I cannot even refresh the page until they are done loading. I can change devtool tabs from 'inspector' to 'console' to 'network' etc but especially 'network' and 'debug' tabs are blank.

I run a 'performance' capture and got these results. In the test I have only opened the devtools and switched to the inspector tab which is unresponsive. The CPU usage is at around 90% however, I don't really know how to read the finding and understand what the problem is.

So anyone that can help me understand what is going on here?

Somewhere around September 6 something changed in Firefox which prevents me from accessing my control area for a website I own. The error says: " your connection to this site is not private. Information ...". I am the only person with access to this site and my password to the site is 20 characters long with special character and randomly generate. Everything worked well and doesn't work on any computer in my house. This change in your software is costing me money as I can't work on my website. I am not a happy camper. Please tell me how to resolve this problem. Telling me to ask the hosting company to make changes is not a valid response.

I installed the Mail Link Enhancer add-on. It works, sort-of. The subject line and other fields included after the ? in the mailto address do not get filled in. Looking at the add-on info, the developer is Nick, but there is no contact info in the More Information section of the add-on profile. The add-on hasn't been updated since 2020, so I'm fairly certain that things changed since then and that's why it isn't working, but I'm no expert.

when I click the web address bar and the drop down opens up with commonly visited site a series buttons appear under it that I would love to delete from the face of the earth, as far as I can tell there doesn't appear to be any setting to turn them off and help topics are expectantly useless. For the love of god don't come and tell me you've added an idiot feature that I have no control over.

I am an 86 y/o programmer with poor eyesight. I wrote my first program in 1960 and am learning html,javascript,php and sqlite. I frequently want my browser to 'forget' but in 150% enlargement the forget window doesn't fit on my screen and if i scroll down on the page i lose the popup, so i have to back out to windows (10) set my viewing to 100% and do it over. Suggestion: reduce the size of the pop-up and put the 'forget' button on the top. Are all the little icons necessary? I cant change any of them. And is the time frame necessary? i always choose '24 hrs'. IMO you only need a 'really?' pop-up to the forget button push and then wipe it all out. Sling tv streaming warns that other browsers except Chrome, Edge, or Safari may be problematic when using their service. I updated Firefox and then attempted to access Sling, video was fine but no audio or at best audio was intermittent. Both Chrome and Safari are working fine, but I would much rather use Firefox for all my browsing ! Are there any plans to create a fix for this?

Several times now when I access my banking site and export data, the exported data is not correct. Sometimes columns are missing or columns are in the wrong order. One time even the display showed missing columns. Another example is when I look up a stock quote, sometimes the numbers from previous days are displayed. Troubleshooting with the site manager we found if I cleared cache and cookies, the problem went away. Everything works for several days, then the problem reappears.

Clearing the cookies is simple enough but then I have to be re-verified on all of the sites that require such and that becomes a real pain. (ie. We are sending you a text, please enter the number to continue)

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge both work fine with this site. Please don't make me switch but I will if this continues.

I am using Firefox developer edition I noticed it has updated itself to latest version  : 117.0b1(64-bit)

I always have Firefox updates so version before that was the 116.b08

After the update on startup I get the error message attached I close it and then Firefox runs normally but this happens on every time I run Firefox.

EDIT: I've solved it by installing Kaspersky's extension. I have been troubled by an issue that every time I perform a search on some websites, the page will first freeze for ~10s, during which I can't click on anything on the page. However firefox itself is not totally freezed, like I can switch tabs without any issues, but if I click on the icons of extensions (such as my adblocker) it won't give me any response. After the freeze the page started to load normally. I have tried disabling all extensions, reinstalling firefox, updating to beta, and disabling security.tls.enable_0rtt_data, but none of these works. Other browsers on my device work normally, including Edge and Chrome. Websites that freeze during a search: Google, Bing, Musescore, Duckduckgo Websites that DO NOT freeze during a search: Github, Youtube, Twitter I have encountered this issue both on 117.0.1 and 118.0.

Firefox version: 102.0b7 OS: Win 11

While watching videos(movies/anime) video takes much time to buffer. If video is of 20 minutes then it loads first few minutes then after watch time reaches that buffered video then it takes more time buffer.

What I am looking is for, how can I force firefox to buffer full video at once or is there any way to increase buffer size.
