I had to redo restore my laptop to its original self. went and got firefox again and now my bookmarks are not there, but they were never in my edge to begin with because i never used edge. this is my sons pc that i am now using. he had lots of gaming stuff so i restored to original now my bookmark are not in my firefox. I thought firefox kept your bookmarks when you sign into firefox they would automatically be there. i tried to sync but says nothing is there. I tried to import but this being my son pc there is nothing there.

Hi, the problem is basically what the subject says, i reinstalled windows on my pc but didnt export bookmarks because i thought having a firefox account would make the deal. But after installing firefox and signing in, bookmarks haven't been restored and my account seems to be clear, no backup information at all.

I changed password of my Firefox account due to lost password and i did not notice warning to lose my data . Please help me if i can set again same password it will work or not ?

I updated my password on a 2nd device,

when i re-signed into my main computer ALL my extensions were deleted, this includes multiple crypto extensions which i will now have to attempt to recover.

This is a MAJOR issue.

I wonder why Firefox still doesn't have a session manager, it's beyond my comprehension. I've lost all my tabs and no way to recover them, even with all the hacks I could find on forums online. And why should I spend time searching for solutions anyway?! Firefox should save all open tabs at least once a day, am I asking too much? I used to have an extension active that did regular backups automatically, but it stopped working due to changes that were made in one of the most recent Firefox releases. Why we still don't have a decent session manager?!

Hi i restarted mine password to the mozilla and now i don't have mine passwords and can i get back mine passwords becouse i had there importants to me passwords? If no are the any methods to get back mine passwords ?

Had to restart my computer because it froze, but when i open firefox all my tabs are suddenly gone, this has never happened before and i do force restart my pc plenty of times.

the "restore previous session" button doesnt even show up in my menu; my about:profile page doesnt show or open my previous activity; and all my files in the sessionstore-backups folder are way too small and recent to be holding my old tabs ( i had over 300 open)

What can i do?

When Firefox (130.0) presents the message: "Still not able to restore your session? Sometimes a tab is causing the issue." when Firefox starts, Firefox should help the user by identifying the tab(s) that caused the Restore Session to fail.

Hi, I've had a Firefox account for a long time. I recently formatted my computer and reinstalled Windows. I signed in to my Firefox account, but it won’t let me import my bookmarks. Can you please help me? Thanks, Sam

So. I fired up the computer this morning. A new one, just got it in September. I have used saved passwords for many years. You have to use the primary password (was master password) to get to that file.

Except now I can't. I get a blurry screen with a banner across the top telling me to log in. But when I click on the "log in" button, nothing happens. If I click the X to close that banner, it does close. And there's various links left on the blurred screen. "Learn more", "passwords support", "import passwords from another browser" or "from a file". But none of those links work. Nothing happens when I click them.

When it says "Log in", I don't even know what I'm supposed to log in to. I don't get a chance to give the primary password. Logging onto Mozilla hasn't made a difference.

So now, I don't have access to ANY of my passwords. WTF Firefox? Can anybody help me? Will anybody help me?

I managed to get to my password because I'm on a new laptop and have not discarded the old one yet. But that's hardly a solution - keeping an extra computer around to look up passwords. I have a few passwords which I put in an old fashioned Rolodex. Maybe I better do that for everything.

I'm elderly. I rarely use my computer away from home. I don't want or need this "sync" feature. After all these years, am I going to have to look for a new browser because of this FAIL? Or is there some way out of it? As it stands now, I have no idea how to get into sync, even if I did want it.

Where did this come from? It's totally out of the blue. WTF? Can I get past this problem? How?
