Dear Mozilla,
Your decision to drop support for self-signed certificates is causing problems all around in LANs, VPNs, and domain networks both home and corporate which employ SSL but use self-signed certs. Despite it being understanding that it is generally ill-advised to access sites with such problems, further deciding that this minority of exceptions should be abandoned altogether in a world web full of so many shades of grey and complex setups is not a responsible decision.
Please implement methods for us to be able to coexist with these updates, as suddenly dropping support for the plenthora of routers, domains, websites and other sources using such a setup, many of which cannot be quickly updated or even at all, is a big problem.
The internet engineering taskforce has not issued any such directives, nor have broader plans to drop support for self-signed certificates been announced. In the lack of a transitioning climate away from this setup or any plans to do so, Mozilla has unilaterally decided to remove support.
Please remember that you have a large userbase and thus a responsibility to keep available means of access that are in common use by the world. Self-signed certificates still very much play a role in the ecosystem, and they will continue to exist for as long as there is a need for encryption on intranets.

So I've upgraded from IE to Firefox in work, as one of a few people to do so to allow some CEO broadcast. We have multiple intranet pages that I need to access, however the links available to me don't work properly. The internal data repository is called Keep, and to get there in IE I type 'keep' into the title bar. Unfortunately Firefox takes me to keep.com, and does not give me the option of the internal webpage. Any ideas please? :)

Had some issues with Firefox 35.0.1 trying to post on this forum. Fox would not accept my login, so I requested to reset my password. Password reset O.K. still a no go, thought my login was bad and requested them send my "User name" (same email) User name never arrives. I had to create a new account on the forum to post this question as I can't get my old login to work.
Anyone else having this problem or has Firefox been hacked and my "User Name" sent to someone else?

"The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."
I have tried rebooting my computer and several other actions. I continue to get this message.

I am signing up with a new cloud software for salon scheduling. I can't get onto their site unless they are remotely using my computer. Once they log off from that remote session, I cannot log into the site & the page just comes up "loading". I'm using both a macbook air & an imac. I can get on other sites in FIrefox; just not this one particular site.

Performed all the steps in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-keeps-crashing-startup, including removing program and all Firefox %apdata% folders.
We had to do a complete reboot of my laptop and now the signin button on QVC, does not work when I signin w/my email address. It works in IE. Please help!

I've already set network.manage-offline-status to false (actually, it was already set that way when I checked it). It appears to happen more when I move off of a tab and then come back to it. I've uninstalled and wiped all traces for Firefox and re-installed - same result.
How can this mode be completely disabled?

I have searched all over to find information on this microphone icon that appears when I'm in a call. I have found no information on it or how to disable it.
It blocks the view of my tabs at the top and can only be slid left to right across the tabs. As of today, even when a call has ended, the icon remains there. There is no way to exit it. I have to close out Firefox after every call to get it to go away.
I'm using a custom built PC, with Windows 7 x64. Firefox is the latest version and I have never seen this before. -This does not happen on my work mac mini, but firefox might be one version behind.
I have asked Firefox twitter support twice on the issue. The first time they had no reply except "maybe ask the forums?" and the second time there was no response.

When calling the bank I was told to use Internet Explorer as the browser. When trying to renew my business membership it would not take my credit card. On calling customer services, I was told I would have to use another browser because Firefox was not accepted. On just rechecking the bill payment worked.

But our site does in fact have a valid Go-Daddy certificate. Even though this site is internal and behind our firewall and not visible to the outside world we choose to connect using SSL. Internet Explorer shows the certificate chain and also shows:
This certificate is OK.
I use to like Firefox better than IE but now I think the best course of action is to remove Firefox and never use it again. I do not need to deal with this kind of garbage.
