I don't know if it's a need to mark your territory, or some marketing major blathering about "holistic new user experience paradigms"--and I put up with the stupid move to tabs on top (because apparently some dev felt that what Firefox users really wanted was Chrome!)--but this is a hideous, steaming turd.

'Oh no, showing the 'close tab' icon and clearly delineating between tabs interrupts the synergistic flow of the UI! Let's make the tabs one disgusting, unreadable blur from left to right! Also, let's make them take up more real estate on the screen, because people have higher resolution screens now--we can totally dominate the upper quarter! Oh, and force the change to the new layout, don't give people an option to revert--and don't warn them, either! EVERYONE MUST SEE OUR MAJESTIC, PERFECT, UNASSAILABLE VISION! Surely that won't confuse TF out of a bunch of grandparents whose hapless children/grandchildren will have to completely re-explain, multiple times, how to get to Facebook!'

Rolled back to 88.01, went through the "new profile" crap you put in to discourage rollback/cover for poor programming, and disabled automatic updates. Barring a major, earth-shattering security vuln, I'm done updating. And when that time comes, I'll find another browser.

Posting here because they've stopped soliciting feedback--probably because they know they've unleashed a sloppy splattered dook onto the world and they're tired of being screamed at.

I upgraded to Firefox v89/64bit. Now when I open a new tab Firefox forces me to use the address bar for searches. I can't find anything in 'Settings' that will let me change this. Maybe I've missed something obvious. Is there a way to turn this 'feature' off? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

When I try to connect to the site for my internet provider, I am connected to the companies site for businesses. Ii have tried my cell (OK), my laptop (OK), and Safari (OK). so it looks like FireFox has become confused about the site meant to be accessed by that URL. Suggestions on how to reteach FireFox, please.

Many websites are showing the placeholder or the back end text for elements instead of the expected titles. I have two extensions viz. dark reader and ublock but I have them both turned off and checked still it shows the same annoying thing.

On major updates to Firefox you sometimes get a one time message about some new feature, etc. When you respond it does not come up again. I do not want to get any one time messages after an update. Is there some option besides 'kiosk' mode to accomplish this?

Something new is happening - there is a slow and very obstructing problem in sending emails - I can receive emails normally but when I try to reply or to send a message, a yellow bar appears telling me there is a huge content slowing my process and asks me to click 'stop' or 'wait' It now takes 15 - 20 minutes to wait to send a message This has never happened before and has been happening for two days now. Please correct this problem. Thank you

FBI's suggestion was to start with an IC3 Complaint. I forgot to tell you. They tried to erased the almost 100GB of evidence I have including the 18GB of devastating evidence against them. Well they infected 3 hardware devices I own hoping that I would insert the flash drives with the evidence in the computer and then they can wipe them clean. I lost 75GB but recovered 52GB from a back up scheme I had. Most important: Now I have them in the act of setting up their trap in my computer, plus I have 3 hardware devices infected with their code. One is a USB type A to USB type C adapter by Belkin. they know the whole thing. I spoke to their security all the way to their corporate offices. As you know they're also a defense contractor. The 2nd device is a 3.3 USB reader by SanDisk (Western Digital). I started telling them until they blocked me. So they only know their device was modify to do evil. But I didn't have time to tell them that 2 additional devices suffered the same thing. So, SanDisk thinks they are the only company. The 3rd device is from Kingston it's 3.0 USB card reader but but the time I finished with SanDisk I couldn't communicate with Kingston. Unless the security force from Belkin told them, they are unaware that their device was used for nefarious purposes by MS and GGL (But attempt to abbreviate.) Bottom line I have the dramatic footage of 18GB and 3 hardware devices. of their code. I hope these info gets to you. I have to take a tiny break. I went to update this morning when asked and then got the "profile missing" error pop up. I searched for the folder as advised but its no longer in my library folder.

Any suggestions? I really need the info in firefox and would not have even updated if i knew this was even thought of happening.

Also, tried to download and install firefox again and still get the same error..

My switch from the release version to ESR seemed to go well, but my history and many of my settings and data, including my pinned tabs and extensive notes used by add-ons, were gone. I managed to reconstruct most of them, but was distressed to find that when Fx updated my ESR version those settings were again gone.

I have again restored most of the lost settings (including the one not to automatically update!) but I know I can't defer Fx updates indefinitely, and I also expect I may want to return at some point to the release version--and I desperately don't want to have to reconstruct my settings any more (or at least more than one last time). I'm not concerned about the loss of my history

Since I'm prepared to note all my settings first, starting fresh seems like a viable solution. I just need to know how (unless you can suggest a better option). I'd be happy with either the release or ESR channel.

Suddenly I can't type into the search engine bar which is mid page on my home page.

I can select it, but it stays blank and anything I type appears at top of the page in the address bar. This happens with any browser I use on my home page (have tested with Google, Duck Go Go, and a few others; same thing happens.

I'd like to get back functionality on that search engine bar mid page.

I'm operating in Windows 10, with the latest Firefox upgrade installed.

despite I have activated spell check under settings and installed two dictionaries the "language" option with the right mouse button does not exist, e.g. in this very window. What do I do wrong?

My system: WIN10 64bit, Firefox 90.0.2 (32bit)

In the last 2 days many problems with Firefox as you can see some below. There are more problems but in clicking one of your links below, I could not return to what I wrote. In addition I cannot check the box below "email me when someone answers the thread". Thanks B

Mac updated to version 10.15.7 and now websites appear basic with no colour and elements have black outlines. I have attached screenshot with Chrome on right hand side and appearing normal and on the left is Firefox which is super basic. Does anybody recognise this problem as i am struggling to find any solutions.

My screen is not displaying porpely, the one on the left is firefox and safari is on the right. Also when I have a menu pop up it is completely see through. Already tried resetting firefox but no luck. Pretty sure it's something simple but can't figure it out...
