on the shortcuts, is there a way to stop you system from adding a shortcut everytime I visit a site?

I've selected 4 full pages of shortcuts on my MF Home page, but they keep getting automatically replaced by shortcuts to any new website I visit : How do I stop this ?

I'm trying to find out how to keep all the shortcuts I've selected for my Mozilla Firefox Home page. I've filled all 4 rows with shortcuts I've selected, but some keep getting automatically replaced with shortcuts to any new website I've visited, which I DON'T want new shortcuts to !, especially when they're replacing shortcuts I actually DO want !

Stop the Search bar handoff to the Not AwesomeBar (a.k.a. URL bar) for Searches. Ridiculous.

Again Firefox? Again? Third time the charm or something? Stop this ridiculous handoff from Search bar in page to URL bar for searches. It's not safe, helpful, or anything other than confusing. Give us the Option. Seriously, it is why we use FF in the first place, Despite tons of companies not supporting it well for website access. I am mad and literally after decades of use am making my first formal complaint. Fix This Please. Add a bunch of appropriate curse words here please. Thanks and keep up all the other great work.

Recently, my blank new tab page isn't blank but has an "Say hello to Firefox profiles" message/ad on the first session after I start up. I would like never to see that or any other notifications on my new tab pages. I want them to stay blank. Is there a setting in about:config? thanks!
