Everytime I go to "Edit, Prefernces, Privacy", then under HISTORY: Firefox will: And here is where I select "remember history" and then click "okay" at the bottom of the page....but it doesn't stay that way! When I go back to check in the "Firefox will:" section, "use custom settings for history" is there....and NOT what I told it to do...which was to "remember history". So, HOW do I get it to remember history like before? This has never happened to me before....so please send me an answer via email so I can get this resolved. Thanks :-) !!!

When I drag the Firefox install icon to the Applications icon on the pop-up, I get a message that it can't install "because you don't have access to all the items" or such...

When I try to add a new tab, Firefox won't open a new tab. I have to select a new window. When I click on a link, it won't take me to Firefox. I have to open it.

Attempting to upgrade Firefox from 3.5.6 to 4.0 but it prompts me to Reboot to finish install. Rebooting PC does not resolve the issue. I get this message when attempting to remove via Windows/XP Control Panel "ADD/REMOVE" programs and if I attempt to execute "FIREFOX 4.0 SETUP" program.

How can I manually uninstall FIREFOX?

How do I create an account with Firefox in order to have access to the tutorials? I didn't see anything about being a first-time user and being ask to create an account.

Chromedit will not be installed because it does not provide secure updates.? what should i do to install this ?

I was using Firefox and I went onto a page where I wanted the maximum viewing...er...capacity, and I got rid of all of my toolbars except the bookmarks bar, thinking I could right click that toolbar and get the rest back by right clicking it. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Now I am without an Important Buttons, Address etc. toolbar, and I am at a loss as for what to do. Any suggestions?

Hi, I need help with viewing special characters as a weird character... if that makes since. I build web pages for a company and for some reason on their server if I type in -> they will see it as â€"> in order for me to fix this error I type in the html code as &ndash ; and it will come up as it should. They are using IE7 to view these errors and I cannot get IE7 to do this no matter what I try. In Firefox I can view these errors by going under View/Character Encoding and selecting Western(ISO-8859-1) is there a way I can modify Firefox to save this as a default setting? I've tried making changes under Tools/Options/Fonts/Advanced and it keeps reverting back to Unicode(UTF-8). I would really like to keep it set up so I don't have to change the encoding on every page I'm currently viewing. Thank you

Get the upgrade - it’s fast and free!" I clicked on 'get the upgrade' and downloaded repeatedly but get same message on Firefox start page even after restarting and shutting down my Windows PC

I have Norton and probably always will because it shows what sites are safe and just keeps my PC running fast. I downloaded the new firefox (4.0) but it said that Norton is not compatible so I was wandering if anyone had the same problem and was able to fix it or if there were any details on firefox making it compatible.

My firefox crashes permanently after 10 seconds it shuts down. I've tried everything to change it. A new version has not helped. Starting in the secure mode did not help. Plug-ins are far too up to date and 20 minutes ago I had no problem with firefox. Please help me, it is very important to me.

The file that I exported form Firefox 25 is on my hard drive as bookmarks-firefox25.html but cant seem to be able to find a way ofd getting them into my Panda safe browser program. Tells me cant find the file or no file to import.

Firefox is showing the fonts on boingboing.net and other random sites as an outlined font and it is really hard to read. Does anyone know how to fix this? It didn't help to change the fonts in the advanced content preferences.
