I keep getting rerouted to a malicious McAfee Antivirus software page stating my computer has 5 viruses and my Mcafee subscription has expired, etc. I don't have that software & NEVER plan to use it. How do I block the URL from loading? This should be SIMPLE in the Mozilla settings, can't find anything regarding web filters or page blocking.

Wishing to view my own html file in my Ubuntu Linux system I pressed the Alt key which I thought would give me a "File" menu. I could not see one. How do I get it?

When I open Firefox and fill out the search window it defaults to the https://resultsvlt.com/ have I been hacked and how do I stop this?

I thought this would be easy to find. It's not. I consider that a bug.

I originally was trying to find out what the yellow dot to the right of the refresh icon meant. I'd still like to know.

Bookmarks. I can't seem to log into my saved sites on any given day. I can log in on Monday but on Tues it will not log me in. Hell, it will not even show that I've got the saved bookmark at times. Yesterday I did banking from my PC just fine and today I tried again to log in and it failed, so I had to deleted everything AGAIN and started fresh. This has been happening for 2 months and it is affecting ALL my logins. I get locked out, delete, refill and repeat....I've had to call my banks and amazon because the switch over from Google was a gong show...I got locked out of every account. I can log in on my phone while looking at this stupid computer telling me NOPE you login password or name is wrong. Oh, and the pc doesn't sync the bookmarks with my phone so I've hand to manually add the bookmark.....I've actually had to carry my physical bookmark book for a month because I'm on the move a lot and couldn't trust firefox would let me into any of my sites....

Hi - I have been getting printing 'overlaps' for a better way of describing it, and this happens randomly. It happened yesterday and today, and today it was with WhiteStuff.com and Preloved.co.uk. Is that something that I need to fix or is the problem with the website owners? Thank you!

Why is it that after the latest update, Pocket returns every time I boot the browser, across all of my devices? This cannot be a coincidence. I am literally having to disable it every time. Mozilla, if you are smart, you will choose not to go in the direction of Google. You already don't have much of a user base and you don't want to lose what you do have left. This is disappointing and you've pretty much guaranteed I'm not using Firefox anymore.

Hi; The gear symbols that were next to the extension in the Extension Panel, are no longer there. In the recent past, clicking on the gear symbol by the extension, enabled me to pin it to the tool bar. How do I get that function back? Thank you, Nick M. mr.nick@myyahoo.com

hi...I'm new to Mozilla and i switched from Chrome when i watch videos on Youtube with Mozilla i can't pause the video by pressing space botton and as the screenshot i sent..whenever i press the space only a square appear around the pause icon and video does not pause...help me please

Sometimes Firefox suddenly closes without warning and loses all my open tabs. When it re-opens, I have to log in again to the tabs. My Firefox is up to date and so is my Windows 10 Home. I have a strong Wi-Fi connection.

Why am i seeing this, and how can I get it to where I am the one controlling my browser and not an "organization" I don't know? This was the big issue I have had in the past with your browser. I cannot find a way to change it.

When I visit some pages and I usually press the back button fast on my mouse to get back to the start page in Firefox. And that creates a empty html file in my downloads folder with a random name.

The only extension I have is ColorZilla.

And I have 2 plugins:

• OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc.
• Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc.

I'm using Firefox 122.0 on Windows, and it's been like this for as long as I remember, so at least a year. I never fiddle with anything in the browser so everything is like default installation besides the plugins and extension.

It usually happens when I'm on an ad heavy site and then spam the back button fast to get to the start page, and that's when that download popup shows some random file generated in Downloads. I can't recreate the issue now when trying, but it usually happens now and then.

I don't have any ad blockers, but I suspect that it might have to do with some ad not finished loading or something like that.

I'll attach a picture of my downloads folder. I usually just browse the web for like 2-4 hours a day, so you see it created quite a few files for one day.

I'm a recent reluctant user of Windows 11. I can't get Firefox configured the way I like it on the new Windows 11 machine. Every single time I try to find an extension, I get a message "Gah. Your tab just crashed." I've tried the Restore This Tab option to no avail.

I uninstalled Fx, downloaded a fresh copy (using Edge, ugh) and installed it. I get the same result.

I had Fx running on the Win 11 machine, before I foolishly accepted an upgrade that took me to Win 11. I suspect that there might be a corrupted Profile or other vestige of that Firefox installation that is causing problems. (Or, because I used Edge to download MSofat hacked me.)

Can someone please tell me how to find and remove all vestiges of Firefox? I want to get back to a fresh slate and try again.

I'm posting this from my old and slowly dying HP laptop running Windows 10. Fx runs here, but the system is slower than Christmas to a 9-yo.

I used to have separate boxes for website address and for searches. Now there is only one combined web address / search box. How do I get back my old layout? One box had web address. Second had search.

I have noticed that I am unable to access the comments section on the various web sites I visit. I am sure it's a settings issue, however I have not been able to find the setting section. Any suggestions??

I needed to leae a Google review for a friend. When I opened a third tab and started typing Google the following FireFox suggestions appeared (see attached screen print) showing a Google slide show of a friend who passed nine years ago. How is it that this came up on my computer? I have NEVER searched for this using this unit nor have I ever downloaded the link. So my question is "Just how secure IS FIreFox?" "How is it possible that Google knows this computer and its owner?" "And given that I use a Norton VPN it further exasperates my concern."

Firefox won't connect me to PRAYERDC.COM How do I get around the block?

Also, videos on facebook and in those emailed from friends on yahoo are not being played. What do I need to do to override this or fix whatever is malfunctioning?
