My Firefox browser somehow got corrupted, and after much troubleshooting, I finally determined the only fix would be to download and install a "clean" version. However, I now get a consistend error "Cannot find Profile, it is either moverd or missing"

I downloaded the new Firefox update and now cannot go anywhere from the Mozilla icon except my email. When I click on a link or enter a new address, nothing happens. Sorry I downloaded. Everything worked perfectly before. I've used Mozilla for years and this has never happened. I'm fed up. I do not want to use MS Edge.

My Amazon prime movies suddenly pause, the wheel turns, doesn't start again. Movies are stopped. This doesn't happen with MS Edge, but does happen with Firefox. How to fix this?

I have a Windows 10 laptop with an old version of firefox 56.0.2.6506 that I have to keep and be able to occasionally use.

I'd like to also install a current version of firefox with a new profile, and be able to use both versions without messing up the old one.

I'm NOT very savvy on profiles and so on. Could someone please walk me through how to do this without messing up the old version and it's original profile? It's really important that I'm able to keep that old version exactly as it is. (by the way, is there any way to get it to STOP asking me to update every time I open it?)

All of a sudden Firefox won't load. I get this message ...

"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window."

There is no other window open and I still get this message. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it and I still get this message when the program won't load.

I keep getting browser update screens by microsoft asking me if i would say yes to installing the latest download or update. I checked my settings and i'm set to get automatic updates but they are all in pending status because I say no to the microsoft question everytime because i didn't know if i could trust that warning that they throw up.

What do you advise?

I've been experiencing trouble logging into my browser for my website account recently. Despite entering the correct credentials, I'm unable to gain access. I've attempted to reset my password, clear cache, and even tried on a different device, but to no avail. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have any suggestions on how to resolve this? Hello, With the latest Firefox update I lost the LastPass add-on, and Firefox will not let me install in again. I get the message "LastPass: Free Password Manager could not be installed because Firefox cannot modify the needed file." Can you help me with this please?

bold textI am a longtime Firefox user and it has been excellent. Firefox is my browser. For approx. the last 2 weeks it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to load my outlook for my emails. I have reloaded Firefox and the problem remains. I downloaded Google Chrome and set it up as my browser and Outlook and my emails load instantly. What is the problem with Firefox?

A few years ago I was using the FEBE extension to backup parts of the fireox profile. I know it is not compatible with current versions. I want to ask if you an idea how to restore those backups - specifically of the history file, "historyfx... .json" I tried to run it through FEBE installed on a client of PaleMoon. No luck. Any way to convert that file to a "places.sqlite" ?

Until a recent update I have been able to select where I want files to download to, but now they only go to one place in Users/Downloads and completely ignore the tick box in settings "Always ask where to save the file" . Does anyone else have this issue? I have tried to reset the settings, etc. to no avail.

I am looking for a definitive list of URLs that need to be allowed on a Proxy Server for the FireFox browser to Auto Update.

Looking for URLs that the browser uses to see if there is an update available and any other locations where the actual update file is stored.

I read the article about support ending for 10.14, stating that users will be moved to Firefox ESR for a final year of security updates. But this raises unaddressed questions

1. What happens for users such as myself who are already using Firefox ESR with its own separate profile, in addition to "regular Firefox" (for lack of a better term)?

1. Does the transition mean that my two profiles will be merged?

1. Will it ask me at every launch which profile to use, or will it simply use the last-used profile, leaving me to switch manually?

Because of these questions, I have held off updating. Can anyone fill in the blanks?
