I use Firefox on my Win11 and Win10 PCs. The Win11 version of Firefox has a button to restore the recent closed button, but the Win10 version doesn't. I wonder why?

I can not seem to set Firefox as my default browser. After I correctly setup Firefox as the default , and it shows up as default even in Firefox. Anytime I click on a link in Outlook it brings up Microsoft Edge. If I setup DuckDuckGo as the default browser, a click on a link brings me to DuckDuckGo. One item that might be the cause of my issue, is that when I go into Apps, in my windows 11 setup, it actually shows two Firefox applications.

Hi, I can no longer print directly from Firefox, my printer is missing. I can only print to PDF there. This must have crept in with the last update. I am using this version 122.0-2.1 3728 latest/stable mozilla✓ My operating system is Ubuntu and I have installed Firefox from snap sources.

I've been using Chrome for a long time, and I've been slowly switching over all my bookmarks, passwords, etc to Firefox. I'm running Linux mint for context.

Every time I open Firefox, it opens the home tab, and after a second or two it opens Mozilla Rally in a new tab, and it drives me ABSOLUTELY BONKERS, because I get halfway through typing in a website, and I'm redirected to this new tab I care nothing about, and for some reason cannot get rid of it in the minimal startup settings that actually exist.

That's some straight up Microsoft Internet Explorer sh!t there, and yes that was meant as an insult.

I have not been able to find any reference or any way to make that not happen, and it is seriously making me consider abandoning Firefox entirely. Don't make me go back to Chrome.

Please help.

I would like to stop the continual suggestion to update my password at login, yet be able to use the saved password at login.

Would you please add this fix?

My mother is in her seventies and uses a laptop I purchased for her with Windows 10. Microsoft apparently auto-updated her to Windows 11, and now not only is the whole OS different but the scroll bars on everything are so thin that you can barely click on them to drag. They only get fractionally thicker when you hover over them with the cursor. This is not specific to any website.

The issue exists in both Windows and Firefox on her machine since the update, for some reason. She and I both have the latest edition of Firefox, but I am still running Win 10. I managed to find a registry edit to improve the scroll bar in Windows File Manager for her, but this had no impact on the scroll in Firefox. Is there a way to fix this? I could not find a setting for it.

I have attached a side-by-side screen shot of her scroll in Firefox on Google, before and during hover with cursor. I have also included a screen shot of my scroll in Firefox on Reddit, which looks as hers did before the update and is much more user-friendly.

There is a very bothersome extension that affects streaming of shows on Paramount +. It keeps reinstalling itself without asking me, to I allow it. Im attaching a screenshot of the extension, including its author, etc.

Hello. The Owl Zoom add on for Firefox OSX has stopped working. No changes made to any options or add ons. Date noticed about mid- December 2023. Reverting Firefox to its state from before the issue occurred did not resolve the issue. This process does not work: "Click on 'Settings' and the pop up menu has an item for 'Zoom'. Click on 'Normal 100%' and a pop up list for several zoom values should appear but it does not appear. In addition there is no Owl Zoom icon in the video task bar. This has happened on two iMacs and one Macbook Pro at the same time so not device specific.

I have Firefox set to open on the default home page with 2 rows of shortcuts. After an update yesterday, all my shortcuts disappeared on my work computer. They are still there on my laptop however. I tried to sync, no go. I have tried to re-add the shortcuts manually and it won't save it. It is important that I fix this as I have several tabs open and signed it to different websites that I work with and this saved me a lot of time.

I am trying to use an input type of month but it is not rendering or behaving properly when viewed in the latest browser version.

The example from Mozilla tech site is below and when viewed in Firefox it does not work either. <input type="month" id="start" name="start" />

Is this no longer supported by Firefox?

Am running on linux with KDE. When I press the software shutdown button in KDE, and reboot, the tabs in firefox remain, even though I disabled that from happening in settings.

Hello, Ive recently switched my primary browser from opera GX, to Mozilla Firefox. Since then I've adjusted the settings to my liking, one of which was the search engine. I chose google chrome, and it works when I open a new tab, However, When I open a new window of firefox, it always opens Bing. This is a small problem, yes, but its simple issues like this that dissuade me from wanting to use firefox at all, I would like to solve this issue, but Ive searched for answers, and there aren't any. If you help me fix this, I will keep firefox. Otherwise, I'll chose a browser that gives me the amount of control that I want. I've also attached a photo of the startup screen of firefox.

My job requires for Boolean and New String configurations inside of the about:config section of Firefox. I've been doing this manually by copying and pasting the lines, but I would like to automate this process via a .bat file if possible. I've created a .bat file for mapping network drives before but I've never created one for running a script in a browser before so I'm a noob.

I need the .bat file to convert boolean values to false and add strings. If possible, I would also like for this batch file to change the homepage to a page of my choosing. Any and all help would be appreciated, Thank You!

Is there a way for me to make custom JavaScript code to add things, like a built-in music player, to Firefox? I think it would be pretty neat if users could code their own things to add to Firefox.

Whenever I open a new tab, I start typing into the search bar at the top of my screen. The problem is, every time I open a new tab, I am on google (which I have no problem with); and when I go to type whatever I need to type into the search bar at the top of my screen, the URL from google stays there. So, for instance, if I open a new tab and try to go to Youtube by typing www.youtube.com into my searchbar and then hitting enter, I end up searching www.youtube.comhttps://www.google.com/ instead of just www.youtube.com. I've tried finding somewhere in settings where I can change this, but I can't find anything.

As we all know you can set certain wallpapers in Chrome. But can't find any such options in the Mozilla Firefox Browser for Windows. FYI, my version is 121.0 (64-bit)
