My laptop set-up is practically identical to that of my PC, but the latter doesn't exhibit the same malfunction.

I've tried anything I could, including reinstalling the browser, removing all of my bookmarks (about 10,000) and addressing extensions (Decentraleyes, Default Bookmark Folder, Disable Tab Detach, Flagfox, I don't care about cookies, Keepa, Notifier for Gmail, Privacy Badger, To Google Translate, uBlock Origin, Undo Close Tab, Video DownloadHelper and Youtube's Annotations No More), but not even safe mode improved the situation in the least. Windows Defender also hasn't detected any malware and my web surfing habits are as safe as it gets.

The only deeper data I could gather is that the problem manifests with a progressive, rapid surge in CPU and RAM usage; the former, for example, is saturated to its total 16 GB in a matter of about 20 seconds.

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7586 with Windows 11 64 bit; Firefox version is the latest, 100.0, and, by the way, none of the recent updates has improved the situation.

I currently have this add-on installed. It allows you to you highlight certain text, then right click and open up a link to Wiktionary in another tab. Up until a few minutes ago, this menu item was at the very top of the list (i.e. above "undo" and all the rest), but now it's been moved down with all the other add-ons. Image for further clarity.

The add-on hasn't been updated in 6 years, so it's certainly not that. I don't recall doing anything to make it change, but before this, it had been at the top of the menu ever since I added it maybe 2 years ago. Is there any potential way to restore this functionality? The fact that it appeared at the very top of the menu might have been a bug, but if that's the case, it was certainly a convenient one.

Anyway, I'll be looking forward to hearing from you fine folks in this community.

Mozilla lags a lot when it's started, it takes ten thousand hours to open a tab when it's started. YouTube lags a lot and specially when 60fps videos are watched and shorts are being watched. Otherwise everything works well with other browsers, but Mozilla.

system was working yesterday,..i can pull up my e-mail on yahoo...can read it but now won't let me delete it..went and used microsoft edge per yahoo staff signed into my yahoo account and mail worked fine...it's something on firefox browser...anyone else having problems ???

I have had to install another browser on my laptop. Sometimes when I want to access the comments section of a newspaper Firefox shows it is "loading". Just stays there, never complets the request or command. Other browser completes as soon as requested. Most annoying. Help please.

I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and installed the newest Firefox 111.0. I'm familiar with about:config and all general settings in programs involved.

I used to have any link open in a new tab, but stay focused on the current one. DuckDuckGo search results opened new tabs but stayed on the search results page. I can no longer do that and can't figure out what changed or how to return it to this behavior.

I am unable to remove the Stupid puzzle button. From what i read it's intended. Each time more companies act more and more overbearing, fortunately we have

As i found no solution, i am removing the application. And severely criticize it with those whom i speak and suggest a change.

since new update firefox 111 and update windows 11 cannot download photos from google photos to my laptop tried security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling setting in firefox changing from true to false. didn't work tries disabling extensions in firefox -didn't work tried in private window firefox - didn't work tried with different browser- micrsoft edge- didn't work

tried when nordvpn was paused : didn't work checked updates on all network adaptors

made exclusion from scanning

Hello! I wanted to know if it is possible to disable the underlining of letters in the browser? As I understand it, this underlining is needed for easier page navigation, but I would still like to remove it.
