I recently reinstalled firefox . After I logged into my firefox account it synced everything.

When I check my password manager it said my passwords for 2 sites were last "used" today. It's after midnight now so it would have been in the last 1 - 2 hours.

One of the websites had a 2nd factor authentication and nothing came to my phone. I am just wondering if this was a password manager glitch or something to worry about. The place I synced is my family computer and no one else would log onto those sites since they are work sites. And again it's midnight the other computer is off too.

Im using Playwright with JS and when Im running ny test on FireFox i get a PopUp message to select the screen i want to screencast, even when im choosing screen and pressing "Share" its happened in the next test and not recording my tests. its happened only in FF. How im removed this PopUP ?Thanks. Using also Linux Ubuntu.

Extension has permission "Access your data for sites in the abc.de domain".

The documentation says that such extension can read "data you enter into those web pages, such as usernames and passwords"

Can extension send such data away (for example to its developer)? What kind of permission is needed for that? Can you quote exact name of such permission/s from linked article so i can lookup that?

Greetings. I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and started using Firefox again. In order to be more secure and private I am reviewing all of my settings everywhere. I am concerned that the security certificates that are currently in my Firefox are safe, secure and current. I know the internet is worldwide and bad actors can from any country but when I see them from certain countries that does concern me. Is there a way to verify the certificates are good? Is there an harm in deleting certificates? Is there any suggestions of what countries, websites to stay away from concerning certificates? If the validity is expired should I delete it? I do not like to make assumptions. I try to make informed decisions. Thank you, bkh8611@gmail.com

I want to visit a unsecured web site (camping site). I notice these mom and pop websites are unsecured. How do I visit it. I'm a big boy and dint like to be told where i can visit. However, I don't mind a warning.

I have moved to another password manager, and would like to completely remove my saved logins from my Firefox account and stop using the auto-fill, auto-suggest feature. However, no matter how many times I delete my passwords and Sync, they keep appearing in my Android Firefox app. I have cleared the app Storage and Cache, I have reinstalled it from scratch, but no matter what I do they reappear. My (also Synced) PC on which I deleted the passwords has not shown it again since I deleted them there.

I just want to completely delete all my logins in my Firefox account, permanently and across all my devices. How can I do this?

Currently, there appears to be only one option to tell Firefox to open a given site in a specific container; that is, from the URL bar, to the right.

Would it make sense to have this configuration option presented in "edit bookmark" and/or in a right-click pulldown menu "Always open in this container"?

I just installed FireFox but keep getting Chrome browser. How do I set FireFox as my default browser? My bookmark tab icons keep changing - how to change them back permanently ?

Update 123.0 deleted all my firefox data from logins.json. backup files are corrupted or have no data. No support article suggestions have worked. The .json files indicate that there is data, but appears blank in notepad, and wont load in json reader in firefox

In some recent update firefox privacy and security settings changed from saved logins to saved passwords. I find this much less useful. Can i change back to saved logins?

I'm developing web app. I created and set up ssl auth for localhost with self signed cert.

When I hit my endpoint with firefox I see:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to localhost:8081. SSL peer cannot verify your certificate.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_ALERT

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

How to disable security in FF so I can test my endpoint?

Randomly after certain updates, the browser history gets randomly erased. The cookies are not deleted, so my sign in information is retained across my usual website (no issue here).

I wanted to report this as it happened twice around the past two weeks and it was inconvenient.

I have Canon EOS Utility installed in order to use a better camera when streaming. For some reason, when I'm using Google Meets, it will only let me use EOS Utility, ignoring the option of using my laptop's webcam. I've tried revoking permission, but when it asks me for permission again it won't show me my laptop's camera, only EOS Uitlity. I've tried disabling EOS Utility under Windows settings, but it's still the only camera that appears.
