Hi all.

My sync is only sometimes working. I notice that when saving a bookmark and trying to find it on another device. I sometimes have to manually resync it or wait for a few days to get it shown on my other devices. Same with the tab sharing across devices.. In most cases it doesn't work at all..

Is there a way to set the default view and sorting for file upload folder?

The default for me is, detailed view and sorted by date.

I wanted to change it to large icon and sort by name, so it's easier to upload images. but I have to change the setting for every individual folder, is there a way to just set it as default?

I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. Suddenly on my PC the icon of Firefox turned white on both desktop and taskbar. And whenever I try to open Firefox, it says, "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." And I didn't make any changes myself. So far it was fine. Now what can/should I do?

So I have two different accounts for one website. However one of them I use very rarely, maybe once in 2-3 months the other one i use almost daily. Therefore I have saved both logins in Firefox and I can see them in my passwords.

The problem is that whenever I try to access the website, Firefox auto-fills the "second" account, the one i only use rarely. What this means is that instead of me being able to just press login i have to delete the username filled in by Firefox and select the other one. So what i would like to do is to maybe tell Mozilla that I want it to use the other account for auto-fill.

Further to my request this week, where Ididn't reach the right forum.

I searched in Firefox help and found nothing.

I made a mistake and installed Firefox in the wrong location. I uninstalled and attempted to reinstall where I wanted the software to be.

The installer now tells me that I had Firefox before and will only reinstall it in the previous directory. No other option is offered.

I am LONG used to being deprived of user choice by the likes of Microsoft or Apple, but Mozilla SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

My Windows Task Scheduler contains an entry called "Firefox Default Browser Agent". If I delete it, it returns. If I disable it, it re-enables itself. Can't be modified either. How do I turn it off permanently?

I already have telemetry and automatic updates both turned off.

In about:config default-browser-agent.enabled is set to false

I have a personal ' writing email' template in Yahoo mail which I use for a specific community. It contains relevant information which saves me from having to type it in everytime I email the community. However, of late when using 'Compose' the template appears but when I try typing below the salutation I cannot use the 'Enter' button to move the cursor down the page to create the body text. Consequently my emails are just one line of type with no paragraphing.

Why is this?

everytime you update firefox, i loose my personal toolbar that took me a long time to set up. how do i get it back without all the work? also, what happened to the printer icon in the main toolbar?

I am using Firefox 119.0.1 under Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 OS build 19045.3693

I had the page open in Firefox before the owner corrected the typo.

Immediately after the correction was online, all other browsers displayed the corrected version. But even now, hours later, after many resets by "Reload Tab", the Firefox tab still displays the typo-version.

I consider this to be a malfunction. "Reload tab" should bypass all caches, and reload the whole page directly from its server. - Is this a known bug? - If "Reload Tab" does not go to the source bypassing all caches, what doe it do? - Is there a workaround?

This is getting be a more and more common message on CBC.CA -- click on a story, go there, it processes for a few moments, then posts THAT! Chrome doesn't do it but I'm having pw issues with chrome and would much rather stick with FF, so can this be fixed?! What's wrong, what's causing it? I'm using ad blockers but they don't seem to be the problem and I'm at my wits' end. I have no patience for this kind of bullshit, especially when everything always worked before this started happening. Typically it's about five stories out of the twenty-five or so offerings on the page but I'm sick of messing around with it, having to close the tab, go to something else and hope IT doesn't break! Is there a fix? I don't don't know to diagnose this stuff; I'm not a geek, I'm a user. I have SOME skills but not this. Is this FF or is this CBC?!

Try it: website is cbc,ca , just click on some stories and see if they hold. If they do for you then it's my FF.

In the Microsoft Store there are all these updates for video extensions like "AV1 Video Extension". Should I be doing these updates? Do they make any difference to streaming video on the Firefox Browser?

Why does my tool bar disappear after typing in website in search bar? Book marks appear when I open a new window, however as soon as I type something in the search bar or click on a website the book marks disappear. I have to open a new window for them to reappear again. I didn't change any settings, it happened on it's own. I've added a screen shot for when I open a new window (book marks appear) and a screen shot for when I've typed something in the search bar (book marks disappear). Thank you!

Is there a way I can disable the "Pop out this video" button on the video player itself but keep the toggle present in the url bar? I have attached the pictures of what I am talking about I don't like the pop out button appearing on the video everytime I try to use my mouse around the video player but like the option of picture in picture seems like a good option for me.

Currently if I try to disable the button from the menu after right-clicking, it also disable the button present in the url bar.
